Digimon: Source Code (数码宝贝：源码, Shùmǎ Bǎobèi: Yuánmǎ) is a video game.
In April 2022 the game's official website and social media pages were deleted, indicating the game may have been cancelled.
In July 2023, the game was re-announced.[1]
After many betas, the game eventually fully released on April 25, 2025.[2]
Although the game is exclusive to China, Bandai Japan have posted about it on the official Digimon website and social media using the name Digimon: Source Code (デジモン：ソースコード Dejimon: Sōsukōdo).[2]
The service was terminated at the end of January 26, 2026.
Story[edit]
The Core Source Code Crystal was destroyed by the forces of the Seven Great Demon Lords.
Originally, the Seven Great Demon Lords were sealed within the Core Source Code Crystal. Rather than escaping as a result of the crystal’s destruction, their true objective was to free themselves from the seal from the very beginning.
Following the crystal’s destruction, the World Tree began allocating all of its resources to temporarily assume the role of the Core Source Code Crystal; however, this measure is not sustainable in the long term.
As a result, the Chosen Ones are tasked with acting on behalf of the now-immobile World Tree to recover the Core Source Code Crystal and prevent the imminent collapse of the Digital World.
