Providing multimedia facilities, equipment, and technical support for students and faculty producing and presenting academic work.
A student-initiated multimedia unit available for use by all currently enrolled OSU students and faculty. Our primary mission is to provide multimedia facilities, equipment, and technical support for students and faculty producing and presenting academic work.

Student Multimedia Services offers duplication for multiple formats including most videotape formats, CDs and DVDs. We also provide PAL conversion services.

We provide access to presentation studios, a photo/video production studio, Media Creation Studios, and multimedia workstations in the The Valley Library. These spaces can be reserved for academic projects, research and teaching and learning applications.

We would love the opportunity to work with you to cover events, awards ceremonies, take photos for marketing campaigns, Facebook/social media updates, website refreshers and to tell the story of the complex and dynamic community that makes up Oregon State University.
The SMS Studio, located on the fourth floor in The Valley Library is equipped with backgrounds lighting equipment and everything necessary to take high quality professional portraits for a variety of needs.

Feed scanning (up to 42" one side, no greater than ¼" thick) that contains multiple layers must have all edges taped down securely.
Turnaround time is 48 hours during normal business hours, Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, excluding holidays. (Example: job submitted at 3:00 pm on Friday, the job would be finished by 3:00 pm the following Tuesday.) SMS strives to exceed this turnaround time but it is not guaranteed.
If printing is needed in addition to scanning, please allow an additional 48 hours.
