How to install

To play Beyond the Bet, you must first download the free base game:

If you already had it downloaded before the release of Beyond the Bet, you MUST update your game files by redownloading the base game, too.

You CANNOT install this DLC using the itch.io app. You MUST download it from the webpage and manually put it into your game files. Please follow the install instructions closely.

WINDOWS:

1. Download Beyond the Bet.

2. Move/copy Beyond the Bet.rpa into the "game" folder of A Date with Death (free base game). If you've moved it to the correct place, it should be alongside archive.rpa.

MAC:

1. Download Beyond the Bet.

2. Move/copy Beyond the Bet.rpa into the "game" folder of A Date with Death (free base game). On Mac, you may need to right click on the A Date with Death launcher and click "view package contents". If you've moved it to the correct place, it should be alongside archive.rpa.

Adult Patch

This free patch adds optional adult scenes (2) and some NSFW dialogue to A Date with Death - Beyond the Bet. 

Adding it to the free base game will not do anything. You must own Beyond the Bet to play these free scenes.

To install, simply drop the file alongside BeyondtheBet.rpa and archive.rpa (the same way you installed Beyond the Bet!)

How to play the new content

Beyond the Bet is best experienced after completing the main story at least once, as it builds upon the events from the original pathway. 

There's a few ways to start Beyond the Bet. If you've already finished the game once:

1. Main Menu: Select ‘Start’ from the main menu, and you’ll be prompted with the option to jump directly to Beyond the Bet.

2. In-Game: Play through the game normally, and when you reach the end of Day 5, choose the options marked with a flower to branch into the Beyond the Bet storyline.

If you haven't finished the game yet, or you've lost your save files, then you can unlock Beyond the Bet by:

1. In-Game: Finish at least one original ending.

2. Settings: You can also toggle Beyond the Bet on in the settings menu at any time, instead of playing through the original game.
