Mimi is a manga webcomic by the artist Nhim
about a girl named Mimi. Supporting characters include her sort-of-love-interest Roy, another girl named Elise, and her long-suffering teacher. Almost every comic is a single page, with some only having one panel.
Tropes:
- A-Cup Angst: Elise is disappointed that her boobs aren't as big as Mimi's.
- All Women Are Lustful: Mimi is the biggest pervert in the comic:
- She reads hentai in public.
- She immediately invites Roy to grab her breasts when he holds her hands to warm them up.
Oops! Looks like my chest is cold!- She owns an ahegao hoodie.
- When she gets shrunk, she asks Roy to put her in a jar, with the implication that she then wants him to fill the jar with his semen.
- Aren't You Going to Ravish Me?: Roy finds Mimi stuck in a wall, and starts to run for help, only for her to grab him with her legs.
- "Balls" Gag: When Roy offers her boba tea, Mimi says she'd "love to gargle on [his] balls".
- Berserk Button: For Mimi, having to create an account for anything, whether that be for playing a game or viewing a website.Roy: Mimi, wanna try this hot new game everyone is playing?
Mimi: Sure! How do I get started?
Roy: First, you gotta make an account-
Mimi: I WOULD RATHER DIE! - Book and Switch: Inverted when Mimi reads a hentai manga called Goth Girl Ahegao in public, then we see that she's actually reading Green Eggs and Ham behind it.
- Bread, Eggs, Breaded Eggs: In one wordless comic, Mimi is entering a door that has "no cats", "no smoking", and "no sunglasses" symbols on it. She's holding a cat who's smoking and wearing sunglasses.
- Calvinball: When playing poker with some old men, Mimi responds to one's royal flushnote with an Evil Grin and all 5 cards of Exodia the Forbidden One.
- Cat Girl: In one comic, Mimi swaps her ears with a cat's. The cat with human ears feels that it got the worse end of the deal.
- Child Hater: Played for Laughs. When asked if she wants to donate her change to feed underprivileged kids, Mimi says "Hell no! I hope all them kids starve to death!"
- Clingy Jealous Girl: When Roy asks Mimi's advice on gifts for a woman, she's jealous that he's buying a gift for some other girl. He explains it's for his mom, but she interprets that as him having a mommy fetish.
- Cloudcuckoolander: Mimi is most assuredly not playing with a full deck. She thinks social skills are a spell one can cast, for one thing.
- Comically Missing the Point:
- Mimi goes to a sushi restaurant and is disappointed that her fish is raw (it's supposed to be). Fortunately, she brought her portable stove and cooking implements.
- Finding Mimi stuck in a wall, he runs for help, only for her to grab him with her legs.
- When playing chess, Mimi thinks having a mirror behind her opponent allows her to see their moves and "cheat", despite chess moves not being hidden at all.
- Crazed Concentric Eyes: Mimi's eyes are permanently like this, just to show how crazy and off-kilter she is.
- Cute Little Fangs: Mimi frequently sports a small fang.
- "Dinner, Bath, or Sex" Offer: Mimi offers this to Roy, but he's more concerned with the fact that she broke into his house.
- Do Wrong, Right: When Mimi sees two cats fighting, she reads The Art of War to one of them to teach it better tactics.
- Ear Cleaning: Mimi offers to clean Roy's ears while he lays his head on her lap, but unfortunately the combination of the ear pick and the weight of her boobs on top of his head makes him imagine his head in a lion's mouth.
- Emergency Multifaith Prayer: Mimi prays to Jesus, Buddha, Goku, and even Albert Einstein...to tell her that Ligma isn't terminal.
- Entertainingly Wrong: Frieza goes to the Make-A-Wish Foundation because he assumes they grant the sort of wishes he would have (they might, but won't do anything if he doesn't have cancer).
- Erotic Eating: Mimi wants to do this with a popsicle, but it's kind of hard to do with one shaped like SpongeBob SquarePants.
- Everyone Has Standards: When a genie offers Mimi three wishes, she wishes for him to 1) turn all water into milk, 2) destroy every toilet on earth, and 3) make everyone lactose intolerance [sic]. The genie is noticeably disturbed, and asks what's wrong with her.
- Fake Relationship: Mimi says she and Roy are a couple to get a discount at a store... and then we see the store is selling engagement rings.
- Fish-Eye Lens: Used to show Duo standing ominously outside Mimi's door.
- From the Mouths of Babes: Mimi's always been foul-mouthed, but it's even funnier when she's a little kid.
- In a flashback, we see Mimi telling her mom that she wants Hookers and Blow when she grows up.
- In another flashback, her mom asks her what to say if someone offers her drugs:
Mimi: Holy shit, free drugs!- Young Mimi points at a worksheet with pictures of animals on it, and yells out "pussy!" (cat) and "cock!" (rooster).
- Funny X-Ray: At the doctor's, an x-ray inexplicably shows a diagram of Saddam Hussein's hiding place
in place of Mimi's rib cage. - Hypocritical Humor:
- When Mimi asks Roy to play the pocky game with her, he responds by saying they should just go straight to kissing. Her reaction is to point at him and shout "LEWD!" (She's still into it, though)
- Elise complains that hands and feet are hard to draw, and contemplates drawing Hands in Pockets to get around it. Mimi tells her "a true artist would never take shortcuts like that", while her hands and feet are all obscured by a lightbulb, a cat, Elise's head, and a speech bubble.
- The Internet Is for Porn:
- To decide if a show is worth watching, Mimi looks up that show's Rule 34.
- Subverted in one comic where Mimi opens Pornhub to do "homework", and then actually watches a video on calculus by @changhsumath
.
- Knights and Knaves: When encountering the two guards, Mimi asks what their credit card numbers are. The truthful guard just tells her the correct door and asks her to leave, but she refuses until he answers her question.
- Literal-Minded:
- When a customer asks for a sandwich with "everything", Mimi hands him the Earth between two pieces of bread.note
- When Roy asks her to grab Burger King on her way over, she shows up with the mascot tied up, with the implication that she plans to eat him.

- When she's wearing a Ms. Fanservice outfit that Roy says is Not Safe for Work, she says it's okay because she's unemployed.
- When a recipe says to cut two slices from a loaf of bread, Mimi cuts the whole loaf in half at the middle, making two "slices" that are thicker than they are wide.

- Manchild: Roy is often the Only Sane Man in comparison to Mimi, but he has his childish moments too. Sometimes she joins in:
- Roy finds a cool stick and pretends it's a sword, and Mimi responds by pulling out her stick gun and firing imaginary bullets at him.
- For Roy's birthday, Mimi makes a couch fort with glow-in-the-dark dinosaur toys inside.
- A Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Read: A psychic reads Mimi's mind to find out what card she picked, but all he sees is her thinking about Sonic the Hedgehog MPreg.
- Mr. Imagination: Roy finds a cool stick and pretends it's a sword, and Mimi responds by pulling out her stick gun and firing imaginary bullets at him.
- Mugging the Monster: When a mugger tries to rob Mimi, he opens her wallet to find an Uno reverse card, which somehow allows her to grab his gun.
- Naughty Nurse Outfit: Roy is too sick to come to Mimi's Halloween party, so she dresses up as a nurse and takes care of him.
- Non-Standard Character Design: Mimi's new gay neighbor with "yaoi hands" is drawn in a different style from everyone else, more reminiscent of 90s or early 2000s manga. And he has roses and a Bishie Sparkle surrounding him.
- No Social Skills: Mimi's interpretation of "finding out someone's likes and dislikes" is loudly asking them "What is your fetish?"
- Not Distracted by the Sexy: Mimi wears a sexy dress with a Cleavage Window and tights, but all Roy can stare at is her Lightning McQueen crocs.

- Russian Reversal: Mimi stubs her toe on a table, but it's the table that's lying on the floor curled up in pain.
- Stuffed into the Fridge: Discussed and parodied when Mimi claims she has to go to a relative's funeral to get out of class. Her teacher points out that this is the eighth time she's used that excuse, and she counters by claiming "They needed to die so that I can build up my character as an anime protagonist."
- Stylistic Suck: Mimi's "erotic" painting is a stick figure with two huge circles for boobs.
- Suicide as Comedy: When a waitress tells her to enjoy her food, and Mimi responds "You too!" she's so embarrassed she holds a gun to her head. The comic ends there, but even if she went through with it, the comic runs on Status Quo Is God.
- Super-Empowering: When Mimi is bitten by a hyena, she wonders if she'll get superpowers like Spider-Man. It's implied she got what female hyenas have
