Yuro
is a content creator who makes World of Warships content, primarily focusing on guide videos on how to play the premium ships with a tech-tree ship on some occasions. They also once in a while release montage videos of them playing in-game.
RUINING LIVES | TV TROPES
- All for Nothing: In the California video, Yuro discusses how the California (compared to Colorado) gives up its essentials just for thicker armor that does nothing because of the California's superstructure shape that makes it a "shell magnet".
- Ammunition Detonation: Yuro became a victim of this at the beginning of the Amagi guide video. Apparently, the Amagi detonated while the ship was above 75% HP. Yuro points out that a ship cannot detonate with more than 75% of their HP, but speculates that another shell could have damaged them. Regardless, they're frustrated at this event.
- Art Evolution:
- In their montage videos, Blender has been used more often for the intros starting in the Die Mehrkanonen
video. - In the guide videos, the way the information is presented have improved, with infographic being included in more recent videos, such as the Almirante Grau video.
- In their montage videos, Blender has been used more often for the intros starting in the Die Mehrkanonen
- Audience Participation: Starting from the Fusō video, the viewers can submit gameplay footage of subject ships to be used in the guide videos.
- Audience Surrogate: Sometimes in a guide video, Yuro will have the subject ship act out actions that they describe and have the ship react appropriately (e.g. the Shimakaze calculates the optimal direction to fire their torpedos, only to miss and be pissed off).
- Author Avatar: They portary themselves as their YouTube channel logo sitting on a plastic chair with the arms being normal human ones.
- Biting-the-Hand Humor: Sometimes occur in the videos, with Yuro poking at Wargaming and World of Warships.
- Call-Back: In the Wisconsin video, Yuro refers back to their Slava video (by showing a clip of it in desaturated) on how to play the Wisconsin.
- CAPS LOCK: Every single letter in the guide video's titles are capitalized.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: In the beginning of the Okhotnik video, the ship manages to kill the HMS Furious and decides to chase after the Ryūjō. The Ryūjō tries to run away, but the Okhotnik catches up and kills the carrier despite the carrier's efforts.
- Cooldown Manipulation: At one point in the Wisconsin video, Yuro demonstrates the Wisconsin's Combat Instructions cutting down its cooldown time on its consumables.
- Formula-Breaking Episode:
- Yuro released two guide videos about the submarine class, which focuses on the various aspect of submarine gameplay rather than just a single ship.
- A video has been released where Yuro explains how they manage to make 3D models that can be printed out by commercial 3D printers.
- Once per Episode: Usually, in a guide video, there will be a short segment dedicated to the ship dodging torpedoes with Eurobeat playing in the background.
- Star Scraper: Played for Laughs in the Fusō video. Yuro sometimes shows images of the pagoda mast being extended to such comically tall lengths.
- Synthetic Voice Actor: Yuro uses a text-to-speech voice for providing commentary in their videos.
- Take That!: Runs rampant throughout the videos. For example, in the Austin video, after demonstrating the Austin's rapid fire, Yuro says that it "...is just as controversial as Alec Baldwin on a completely normal day".
- Take That, Audience!: A variation. Yuro sometimes take jabs at players and calls them out for being incompetent.
- Toilet Humour: Yuro compares the Okhotnik to a piece of turd (long in shape, not-so-easy to miss, and smells stinky [probably]), with a picture of a heavily pixelated Okhotnik as a cherry on topnote .
