Saint-Pierre (Series)
Geneviève “Arch” Archambaul, Gendarmerie Nationale, and Donny "Fitz" Fitzpatrick, Royal Newfoundland Constabulary.

Saint-Pierre is a 2025 Dramedy Police Procedural (with some hints of Cop Show), airing throughout Canada by CBC and streaming through CBC Gem. It's created by Allan Hawco (who also is one of the main stars, through his production company Hawco Productions), Robina Lord-Stafford and Perry Chafe. Aside from Hawco, Joséphine Jobert and James Purefoy are also billed in the main cast. While production was done at Saint-Pierre and Miquelon, most internal shots were done in Newfoundland. The show is done in English and French, the latter having hardcoded subtitles for English-speaking viewers to understand.

After Inspector Donny "Fitz" Fitzpatrick arrested Ronald O'Brien, the premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, he was "reassigned" to work in Saint-Pierre and Miquelon by the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) with Gendarmerie Nationale officers stationed at the French overseas collectivity. Fitz works with Geneviève “Arch” Archambaul of the GN, who is the deputy chief of the local station alongside Marcus Villeneuve, chief of the station Fitz is assigned to.

While Fitz and Arch police the island and solve crimes, they sometimes run into Sean Gallagher, who's known to be an influential figure living in Sant-Pierre.

Saint-Pierre contains examples of:

  • Artistic License – Gun Safety: In "Queen Bee", the coroner Emmanuelle aims a Mauser M712 at Fitz. He rightfully panics and ducks down since he assumes it's loaded, but she later mentioned to him that the pistol's firing pin was shortened so that no one can use it.
  • Hiding Behind the Language Barrier: Almost all of the French-speaking characters hide anything they don't want Fitz to know in French.
  • Hollywood Military Uniform: The uniformed gendarmes in the show aren't accurately wearing proper uniform, including their patches and bonnet de police, except that their uniforms are blue (which is correct).
  • Artistic License – Law Enforcement: The GN vehicles used in the show have some correct GN markings, but have the words POLICE on it instead.note
  • Noodle Incident: It's not made clear if Fitz arrested O'Brien due to him being a Crazy Jealous Guy and the premier's dating his ex-wife or he was a Corrupt Politician.
  • Reassigned to Antarctica: Fitz is posted by his superiors at the RNC due to the growing scandal of him arresting the premier on live TV.
  • The Place: The show's name is "Saint-Pierre", which does get a Title Drop since it's short for Saint-Pierre and Miquelon.
  • Witness Protection: In "Kill Lil", the GN and Fitz hunt down for someone who killed a bagman who worked for a Montreal-b
