- DC Comics briefly featured a bearded and caped sorcerer named Prince Ra-Man, who hailed from Ancient Egypt and used sun-based relics. He never really measured up to the major DC sorcerers though.
- The Dresden Files: Near the end of Battle Ground Harry muses to Molly that he ought to put window in his newly acquired abode like those Doctor Strange keeps.
Live-Action Films
- Spider-Man 2: Ted Hoffman suggests the name Doctor Strange for Otto Octavius. J. Jonah Jameson said "That's pretty good, but it's taken."
- Doctor Strange makes a cameo in this song
while Odin seeks magical knowledge.
Music
- Pink Floyd included a panel from "The Sands of Death" on the front cover of A Saucerful of Secrets, later namedropping Doctor Strange himself in "Cymbaline".
Western Animation
- The Venture Bros.: Doctor Byron Orpheus is an Expy of Dr Strange, complete with the theatricality and mystical power. He's also too proud and serious about his job, so he's divorced and fairly often gets taken down a peg or two.
- The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo: Vincent Van Ghoul is a warlock ally to Scooby who lives in a mansion of relics. right down to being voiced by Strange's inspiration Vincent Price.
