- Straight: Greta the Witch lives alone in the middle of the forest, has distinguishing features like a wart on her face and a large Sinister Schnoz, and lures children into her cabin so she can cook and eat them.
- Exaggerated: ???
- Downplayed: Greta the Witch is a harsh-looking old woman who lives in an Abandoned Warehouse in the bad part of town, and will offer her services to curse any victim of choice for whoever's willing to pay her price... Which is generally something far more precious than money.
- Justified: Greta made a Deal with the Devil to become a witch, and the ugliness comes with the territory.
- Inverted: Grace is a Hot Witch, and is generally a good person.
- Gender Inverted: Hans is an Evil Sorcerer with the aesthetics of a Wizard Classic.
- Subverted: Greta is a normal old woman, who was mistaken for a witch.
- Double Subverted: … At least, that's what she wants people to think, to throw them off the trail of children disappearing.
- Parodied: Greta is a Large Ham Captain Ersatz of the Wicked Witch of the West, green skin included, who goes conveniently unnoticed by the townsfolk.
- Invoked: "Witches are something of a stock villain in fairy tales. After all, what could be more scary than an anti-social neopagan who thinks children make for a great afternoon snack?"
