Chibi☆Devi! is a Shōjo manga by Hiromu Shinozuka. The story centers around Honoka Sawada, a teenage girl with a miserable life. She lost her parents at a young age, her aunt is never home, and the other girls at school bully her. She can't even visit her only friend Kyou because his friend Shin scares her. But her life changes when two demons decide to send their baby to her home. Now she must take care of the demon baby with the help of Shin and the staff of a bizarre daycare center.

The manga was serialized in Ciao from 2008 to 2014, and compiled into 11 volumes. A side story, Chibi☆Devi! Minna ga Eran da! Chou Ninki Best Collection, was compiled in 2014. A 5-minute anime series produced by Synergy SP ran from 2011 to 2014, and ended with 75 episodes.

Chibi☆Devi! provides examples of:

• Adaptation Distillation: The anime's episodes are rather short, being only five minutes long each. The manga has a full-blown story while being greatly reduced with its five-minute run in the anime.
• Afraid of Needles: Shin of all people. Then Mao and Karin rebelled after seeing Rai get his shot. And it takes Shin to convince the babies to get theirs despite being scared shitless.
• Annoying Younger Sibling: Itsuki, Natsuki's younger brother loves to taunt Karin-chan, much to her annoyance.
• Animation Bump: Downplayed. The artstyle overall remains the same, but there is subtle differences between the late 2000s and early 2010s.
• Berserk Button: DO NOT hurt or harm a demon baby's surrogate mother. They. Will. Kill. You. Plus see Disproportionate Retribution below.
• Beware the Nice Ones: Honoka actually showed signs of anger in episode 34 when Mao has his Button Mashing phase. Which is unusual given her nature.
• Butt-Monkey: Mao-chan has these moments where this may not go his way in episodes.
• The Cameo: Rina Uchida, the main character of the DS platformer Koisuru Purin!, makes an appearance in episode 38. The babies spot Rina on the streets, call her granny (much to her outrage), and she points them in the supermarket's direction.
• Cartoon Creature: Pepe's appearance is best described as a mammalian creature.
• Clothes Make the Superman: Mao-chan can breath fire when he's wearing his dinosaur costume. The other babies have their own powers with their costumes as well.
• Cute Ghost Girl: The ghost girl shows to be this once she befriends Mao.
• Dinosaurs Are Dragons: The dinosaur suit Mao wears allows him to breathe fire.
• Does Not Like Spam: Mao had a dislike for cucumbers. Eventually gets over his hatred of them in an episode when he finds food he hates more than cucumbers.
• Ear Wings: The wings on the devil babies head resemble this.
• Fire,Ice,Lighting: Each of the devil babies represents this with their respective costumes.
• The Gadfly: Rai-chan of all kids is this. It can actually be put to his advantage as he manages to have the sadistic storyteller to jump on his leg just so the kids can hear the rest of the story.
• Hot-Blooded: Karin is the quickest of the babies to lose her temper, which doesn't take much. Though in a twist of irony, her magic is ice based, while the much more even tempered Mao gets fire.
• An Ice Person: Karin wields ice abilities when wearing her penguin costume.
• Iron Butt-Monkey: The principal is constantly set on fire, electrocuted, and frozen, but never takes long to recover.
• Irony: Karin has ice abilities with her penguin costume but is easily the most hotheaded of the babies.
• Notzilla: Mao's dinosaur costume resembles a chibified Godzilla. Also even has his own atomic breath abilities for good measure.
• Odd Friendship: Happens when Mao befriends the ghost girl who has a strange demeanor.
• Oni: Rai's costume takes on the appearance of a oni.
• Our Demons Are Different: Devil babies have wings on their head and have small tails. They also can utilize abilities from costumes made by their mothers.
• Penguins Are Ducks: Karin's penguin costume has a wide break resembling a duck's bill.
• Pint-Sized Powerhouse: The devil children all can be this once they are wearing the costumes.
• Playing with Fire: Mao with his dinosaur costume allows him to breathe fire, he will frequently use this ability if someone is hurting Honoka.
• Ridiculously Cute Critter: Creatures from the devil world are this, Pepe is a particular standout.
• Shock and Awe: Rai with his oni costume.
• Sick Episode: Honoka has one of these in this episode resulting with Mao unable to play with her for the day.
• Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: Karin has this dynamic with Itsuki.
• Took a Level in Kindness: Shin does eventually become a lot nicer to Honoka as the series progresses.
• Nice Job Breaking It, Hero!: Mao-chan accidentally reveals that Honoka likes Shin. But since he's a small child, he doesn't know better since he's innocent.
• Nice, Mean, and In-Between: The babies summarized. There's Mao (Nice), the most genial and even-tempered one. Karin (Mean), the baby with the shortest temper and worst attitude, and Rai-Chan (In-between) who is polite and nice, but also loves pranks.
• No Social Skills: Well, it's not her fault by any means. Honoka just really isn't brave enough to be friends with other people due to her Shrinking Violet nature, even with adult women. She does gain a considerable amount of friends and help.
• Not What It Looks Like: Chapter 7. Oh boy. When Honoka's aunt comes home, she sees Honoka, Shin, and Mao-chan in the same room. Making her assume she had a Teen Pregnancy.
• Parental Abandonment: Honoka's parents are dead.
• Trademark Favorite Food: All 3 babies have their particular favorite. Mao-Chan can't get enough of hotcakes, Karin is a lover of all things meat and Rai-Chan guzzles melon soda by the truckload.
• Winged Humanoid: The devil babies have these on the top of their head.
