Anyra Riddle, the daughter of Joyce Sebastiana and the mysterious Tom Riddle, has her world turned upside-down when her mother is arrested. She ends up in the care of the Malfoy family and quickly becomes friends with their son, Draco, who is the same age as her. She transfers to Hogwarts, going into the fifth year and makes many new friends and enemies.
Siren Call provides examples of:
- Abusive Parents: Anyra was raised by her abusive single mother, Joyce. Joyce sees Anyra as being too similar to her estranged father, Voldemort, and tries to beat it out of her. Anyra is frequently subjected to torture spells and other abuse before Joyce gets arrested and she ends up living with the Malfoys.
- Accidental Murder: Anyra accidentally killed two people when she was a young child due to not being able to control her magical powers. This was what caused her mother to start physically abusing her.
- Barehanded Bar Bending: Fueled by rage and madness, Samantha breaks out of Azkaban by bending the bars of her prison cell with her bare hands and then sneaking out when the guards and dementors aren't around.
- Bear Hug: Amethyst pulls Anyra into a bear hug so tight she struggles to breathe after being introduced to her.
- The Big Damn Kiss: Anyra kisses Draco for the first time after overhearing him admit he's in love with her and having an emotional conversation. She describes the kiss as having the intensity of the Revolutionary War, World War I, and World War II combined.
- Big Eater: Anyra and Draco have lunch at a restaurant with several friends, including Crabbe and Goyle. Anyra comments that Crabbe and Goyle order enough food to sell out the whole restaurant.
- Character Blog: After Chapter 25, the author announced a Facebook profile for Anyra Riddle, found here. The page has never had any posts, only a couple of pictures in an album.
- Content Warnings: Chapter 24 opens with a warning to the readers that the chapter contains scenes of gore.
- Dope Slap:
- Anyra slaps Draco upside the head for calling her a ninny. She immediately realizes she overreacted and apologizes.
- Anyra hits Harry in the back of the head for glaring at Draco and saying it was too bad she was sorted into Slytherin.
- Dreaming of Things to Come: Alexandra has the ability to occasionally see visions of the future in her dreams.
- Everyone Can See It: Everyone around Anyra and Draco can tell the two are in love with each other. They receive frequent comments about how they should ask the other out. When they eventually do become an Official Couple, no one is surprised.
- Exact Eavesdropping: Anyra ends up outside of Draco's dorm room just in time to overhear Draco admit to being in love with her.
- Expressive Hair: Charisma's hair puffs up and moves on its own whenever she gets angry or upset due to her magic.
- Headlock of Dominance: During their second fight in the hallways, Anyra pins Charisma to the ground and puts her in a headlock. This doesn't work out for Anyra as Charisma bites her in retaliation.
- Jaw Drop: Draco's jaw drops and stays that way for some time after he witnesses Anyra jump down three stories' worth of stairs without hurting herself.
- Man Bites Man: Charisma bites Anyra in retaliation for Anyra putting her in a headlock during their fight.
- Matricide: After torturing Samantha, Voldemort summons Anyra to allow her to finish off the mother who abused her. Anyra kills Samantha by tearing her head off with her bare hands.
- A Mistake Is Born: Joyce considers Anyra a mistake and abuses her for this and also because she is too much like her father. Despite being Voldemort's soulmate, Joyce never wanted to have a child with him and left him when she found out she was pregnant in the hopes she would be able to give the child a better life.
- Neck Snap: Downplayed. Anyra wrenches Charisma's head while pinning her to the ground, but it's not hard enough to kill her. It only causes a sprain.
- Off with His Head!: Anyra kills Samantha by ripping her head off with her bare hands.

- Anyra Riddle is the daughter of Voldemort and a siren woman. She is also a siren and a witch, who comes to attend Hogwarts after her mother is arrested and she goes to live with the Malfoys. She is considered eccentric and impulsive and sometimes has difficulties restraining her natural magic and siren abilities.
- Joyce Sebastiana (also known as Samantha Potter) is Anyra's abusive mother, James Potter's sister, and Voldemort's soulmate. Like her daughter, she is a siren. She has been on the run from the law for many years and is arrested at the beginning of the story.
- Over-the-Shoulder Carry: Draco and Anyra race to get ready to go to Diagon Alley. Near the bottom of the stairs, Draco grabs Anyra and throws her over his shoulder, carrying her the rest of the way to the exit.
- Past Experience Nightmare: Due to being a Siren, Anyra's dreams are always of her memories, good or bad. The night after she meets Voldemort, she has a nightmare of when her mother branded her with an iron rod when she was a young child.
- Portmanteau: Anyra refers to her dreams as "dremorys" ("dream" and "memory") since, as a siren, she doesn't have normal dreams and only sees her memories when she sleeps.
- Rape as Backstory: Anyra's character profile mentions that she was raped when she was thirteen and ended up pregnant as a result, although she miscarried early on.
- Red String of Fate: Soulmates can be identified by two people holding hands and thinking about each other. If a magical light surrounds them, then they are soulmates. Joyce and Voldemort are soulmates, although Joyce doesn't want to be with him. Anyra and Draco discover that they are soulmates and are much happier about it.
- Save You From Becoming Your Parent: Joyce justifies abusing Anyra by claiming it's to stop her from becoming violent and evil like her father, Voldemort. In her character profile, she admits that this didn't work and probably made Anyra end up more like Voldemort than she would have been otherwise.
- Screams Like a Little Girl: Draco screams when Anyra sneaks up on him under the table and grabs his ankles. Anyra describes this as a "girly scream".
- Shared Dream: Draco touches Anyra while she's sleeping, which pulls him into her dream due to Siren powers. He experiences Anyra's Past Experience Nightmare being branded by her mother alongside her.
- Shout-Out: Anyra compares apparition to Augustus Gloop being sucked up the tube.
- Side Bet: Alexandra and Amethyst make wagers about Anyra and Draco's relationship immediately after learning the two have become a couple. Alexandra bets that Anyra will get pregnant before she graduates. Amethyst bets that Draco will propose before they graduate, specifically on either Christmas or Valentine's Day.
- Spit Take: Amethyst does a spit take while laughing at Anyra accidentally spitting food on Pansy.
- Stalker with a Crush: Carlos Blackwing is in love with Anyra and stalks her despite her being in a relationship with Draco. His character profile mentions that he believes she is in love with him too.
- Talking in Your Sleep: Anyra talks in her sleep while on the Hogwarts Express, saying Draco's name several times.
- Tampering with Food and Drink: Pansy spikes Draco's drink with a Love Potion before he arrives for breakfast. He ends up drinking it, but it doesn't affect him since he'd already found his soulmate.
- Title Drop: Draco refers to Anyra as his "siren call" when he confesses his love to her.
- Too Unhappy to Be Hungry: In the two weeks after killing her mother, Anyra barely eats since she is too consumed in guilt over the fact that she enjoyed the killing.
- Use Their Own Weapon Against Them: Anyra uses her magic to connect Umbridge's blood quill to Umbridge's blood instead of her own. This makes it so whenever Anyra writes with the quill, it cuts into Umbridge's flesh. Anyra makes long, deep scratches on the parchment until Umbridge admits defeat.
- Wet Willie: Anyra licks her finger and sticks it in Draco's ear as payback for one of the pranks he played on her.
- Your Mom: Anyra calls Ophelia a bitch. Ophelia asks her what she just called her and Anyra retorts "Your mom".
