Gamora is a 2016 comic book miniseries published by Marvel Comics. The series is written by Nicole Perlman with art by Marco Checchetto.
The series follows Gamora before she joins the Guardians of the Galaxy, as she carries out a mission for Thanos to destroy the remaining royal bloodline of the Badoon—the species that wiped out her homeworld. As she tracks her target to a prison planet, Gamora begins to question her loyalty, her purpose, and the violent role Thanos has shaped for her.
The first issue was released December 21, 2016. The series ran for 5 issues, with the final issue released May 31, 2017.

Gamora provides examples of:
- Adaptational Modesty: Perhaps to better sync up with her more modest film counterpart, Gamora is redesigned to sport a suit of black and white body armor for the series. Prior to that, she was well known for her Stripperific outfits.
- Canon Discontinuity: The series takes place while Gamora and Nebula are both still working for Thanos, but Nebula is a cyborg here, when she didn't become one until the events of Silver Surfer.
- Fantastic Racism: Due to being mixed-species, L'Wit was supposed to be killed as a baby as is tradition by the Brotherhood of Badoon. However, her father could not bring himself to do it, and thus sent her away to Ubilex, where she would be hidden away and could never leave.
- Gravity Sucks: Due to Ubilex's proximity to a Black Hole, it is extremely difficult to leave the planet due to the gravitational pull.
- Hidden Backup Prince: Gamora exterminated the Badoon Brotherhood royal family in revenge for her people's genocide. Little did she know that the Brother Royal's most beloved concubine from his harem gave birth to a daughter, and he loved her so much that he sent her away for her safety. Gamora pursues the last surviving princess to not leave some business unfinished. At the end of the series, she desists from killing her when said princess reveals she has no intentions of following up her father's footsteps and just wants to be left alone.
- It Only Works Once: The Elemental is a crystal that holds energy fromt the Big Bang, but can only be used once. Gamora uses it to power her ship enough to escape the black hole's gravitational pull before Ubilex is destroyed.
- Penal Colony: Ubilex is used as one due to its proximity to a Black Hole, preventing the prisoners from escaping.
- Prequel: The series takes place while Gamora was still working for Thanos.
- Ret-Canon: The series imports Nebula being raised as Gamora's sister
- Royal Harem: The Brother Royal of the Badoon Brotherhood had his personal harem, which is briefly shown during the 2017-2018 miniseries. According to the backstory, he loved one of his concubines so much that when she bore him a daughter, he broke the Badoon rule to execute female children in favor of male ones and sent her away to be a Hidden Backup Princess. Enter Gamora who slaughters the entire royal line in revenge for the genocide of her people and pursues said princess to finish the business once and for all. She ends up sparing her since she has no intention of following her father's footsteps.
- Sole Survivor: L'Wit is the sole surviving heir of the Badoon royal family.
