Polytricity is a AAA art outsource studio based in the U.K, our recent ventures have been delving into the past and making C64 inspired games with the people at Megastyle. My handle goes by Robert Ramsay, Pixelburner or RRFreelance and you can find some of my other projects on my RRFreelance itch page there...
Even C64 developement tools such as Spred64 and Backdrop Designer which I use in my workflow for making C64 content.
Think of me as New-School meets Old School. I grew up with these great games from Exploding Fist, Boulderdash, Krakout, Action Biker, Ghost Chaser and the Last Ninja series, Cyberdyne Warrior, Lazy Jones, Impossible mission and that is is just naming few of hundreds of games I played in the 1980's when I was between 7 and 14 years young.
I gave my C64 and all to a nephew of a friend around 1996 and moved on to Amiga 1200 around 1994 but nothing feels quite as nostalgic as a C64. In the last 6 years I have been rebuilding my past passion and joy for the "Commy" and really having great fun having helped with 2 shipped titles so far: "Apeshit" and "Gridlock" as well as a few others in the making where I take care of box art and loader bitmaps and on occasion sprites, fonts and char-sets.
Check out my developments, currently I am focussed on CityCat and TheC64DevMachine but a couple side projects on the go Edo-Saga for PC as well as Kumité and Age of Fighters which will be developed more towards the end of the year.!
