| Color Dolor! | | Posted by Csio on 2026-02-14 |
The ultimatum set by Monarchy expires tonight at midnight and yes, it applies to everyone… even to me (Csio). Bytehexer and FWF waited patiently, so I’ve officially run out of time for byte-poking and the endless “just one more quick tweak” loops. So please welcome Monarchy’s latest little tech-demo with lots of love: Color Dolor (a DFLI picture heavily rasterized not only in the background but in the border too, because why not). This is the visual forerunner of the next big release of MeDFLIstvan: MAGIC RASTER TOOL. With just a few clicks you can conjure up raster backgrounds behind your logo or artwork so sweet that even the TED will crap its luma output. If until now "it just needed a bit more raster" you officially have no more excuses. This tool is about to land and from that moment on: the playground is yours, Pixel Divers. Stay raster. Stay Monarchy.

| Awass! | | Posted by Csabo on 2026-01-18 |
Inufuto, the prolific Japanese developer is back with Awass! Using his own development tools, he ports all of his games to over 100 8-bit systems, and the Commodore Plus/4 version of this one has just dropped.
Awass could be best described as a puzzle platformer. Not only you have to be able to quickly navigate and avoid enemies, but you also have to plan ahead and make your own route. The unique mechanism in the game is that you can "scroll" each floor, which changes the location of the ladders. There are 8 stages to clear, they get progressively harder.
If you've played an Inufuto game before, you'll know exactly what to expect :-) Check it out! |

| Ghosts'N Goblins Arcade Version! | | Posted by Csabo on 2026-01-11 |
If you believe that the 1986 16K release of Ghosts 'n Goblins didn't do justice to the original game, you had a long 40 years to wait. In 2026, TCFS is here to make us proud: Ghosts'N Goblins Arcade Version is now available for Commodore Plus/4.
When Princess Prin-Prin is kidnapped by the Demon King, our heroic knight, Arthur, sets out to save her. Fight through hordes of ghosts, goblins, zombies, and other demons as you journey through the graveyard, the forest, the ice towers, the ghost town, the caves, the fire bridge, and the tower - all the way to the throne room. Pick up items and various weapons along the way to help him. The side-scrolling action can be punishingly difficult, and there's a time limit as well. Can you save the princess?
Ghosts'N Goblins Arcade Version is a technical marvel on all levels. It's hard to believe your eyes! From the advanced sprite engine running at solid, high frame rates, to the seamless fastloaders, the wonderful graphics with enhanced TED colors, and the soundtrack, this is as good as Commodore Plus/4 games get. While many individuals contributed their decades-old knowledge and talent, the real hero is TCFS himself, who is responsible for most of what you're seeing.
Enjoy! |
