Reward Boxes

Every dungeon in Onigashima Idle rewards a box upon completion. These boxes are more than simple loot drops—they are curated reward pools designed to reflect the era, danger, and identity of each dungeon.

As players unlock more difficult dungeons, rewards naturally improve. However, older dungeons are intentionally kept relevant through exclusive drops, crafting materials, and utility items that cannot be obtained elsewhere.

Age-Based Dungeon Reward Philosophy

  • Each age introduces a new primary crafting material
  • Earlier materials remain useful through upgrades, refinement, and synergy systems
  • Certain equipment and relics only drop from specific age dungeons
  • Reward boxes always contain at least one exciting or meaningful item

Dungeon eras mirror the historical progression of Onigashima, with reward boxes evolving alongside player power and system complexity.

Age Dungeon Reward Tiers

  • Jōmon (Levels 1–19): Wood, bone, and stone used for early crafting, shrine offerings, and basic weapons
  • Yayoi (Levels 20–29): Bronze equipment
  • Kofun (Levels 30–39): Iron-based equipment
  • Asuka / Nara (Levels 40–59): Steel equipment
  • Heian (Levels 60–79): Tamahagane equipment
  • Kamakura (Levels 80–94): Dragon scale equipment
  • Muromachi (Levels 95–99): Master-grade equipment

In addition to materials, dungeon reward boxes can contain rare equipment tied to their era. These items often introduce unique elemental interactions or niche utility effects.

Examples of Dungeon Equipment Rewards

  • Jōmon Lightning Bow – A lightning-infused bow encouraging early elemental builds
  • Ice Iron Ono – A heavy weapon that slows enemies during combat
  • Light Steel Pickaxe – A weapon which requires levels in mining, a non combat skill.
  • Bronze Earth Dō – Defensive armor granting stability and mitigation bonuses
  • Shadow Gloves – Offering rare shadow elemental modifiers.
  • Master Elemental Suneate – Endgame footwear interacting with multiple elemental systems
  • Toxic Dragonscale Kabuto – For the rarest of all elements.

Between historical ages lie special dungeons that do not follow the standard progression curve. These non-age dungeons are designed to feel dangerous, mysterious, and uniquely rewarding.

Non-Age Dungeon Reward Design

  • Exclusive armor sets unavailable anywhere else
  • Consumable combat items that are powerful but limited-use
  • Farmable low-tier consumables for experimental builds
  • Unique utility items that affect dungeon runs, combat pacing, or shrine interactions

Higher-level non-age dungeons expand on this philosophy with rewards that focus on flexibility rather than raw power. Instead of replacing gear, they offer sidegrades, modifiers, and tools that open new strategies.

By separating power progression from reward desirability, dungeon boxes ensure players always have a reason to revisit older content—whether for materials, unique gear, or strategic consumables.

Dungeon rewards in Onigashima Idle are designed to feel intentional, thematic, and exciting at every stage of the journey—turning every clear into an opportunity, not a formality.
