Clown Containment and Reintegration
Congratulations on your new job at the Clown Containment and Reintegration Center (CCRC). Here, you will identify the clowns brought in by our containment team to figure out their breed and specific needs. It is up to you to decide the fate of each clown, but remember our goal is to find homes for these creatures, so please make each choice with careful consideration.

hi okay I love this game. and I am asking because I'm not sure if it's a feature or a bug. are certain families not supposed to have their house size marked down? I have the perfect fit for a mixed breed but I can't tell what house size because none of them are marked :(
We were featured in this month's Indiepocalypse! You can check it out here: https://pizzapranks.itch.io/indiepocalypse-74
I am so excited to see this game continue! It was really fun, it took me a minute to figure out what to do at the start but now I am INVESTED!
Thanks for playing the game! Glad you're enjoying it so far! The next update is hard at work! We've been debating making the clickable objects more noticeable day one so it's a bit clearer where to start, we've had a couple people say they were a bit lost at first.
I want so much more of this game, it's so fun. Gimme lore, gimme multiple weeks where stuff starts happening, gimme an endless mode. It would be cool if how well you home the clowns gives you a different outcome in the end.
I don't know why I'm so invested in this, or why I want to know all the details about how this world works, but I do. It's such a unique, weird take on the Papers Please/That's Not My Neighbor genre.
So happy you're enjoying the lore! There's lots more planned still. We're thinking about other game modes for the future but currently, we're working on the story mode being a month-long so you get to see more of how your choices impact the families, clowns, and political shifts in the world!
Awesome :) I'm excited to see more!
Well I find a confused situation in the page:
Best in households with others clowns as a recessive traits but Dominate?
Idk how to reported the issued beside here so thank you for reading! Hope we get the update soon I love the game so far!
Also if it be nice if they showed the Ref for choosed breed in one page and not need to choose twice I will be nice improvement.
Hey JokerHart,
In this case, the needs are correct. There are six tiers to dominant vs recessive needs in our game. In the case of a circus/harlequin hybrid, the circus breeds clown compatibility states "Recessive trait: Will dominate all other recessive traits," while the harlequin's clown compatibility only says "Recessive trait," which means you take the need from the Circus breed page.
As far as needing to select the breed twice. I fully agree with you, it was my plan to fix this before the last update, but after we found several game-breaking bugs, we decided to prioritize fixing those and pushing the update ASAP over the handful of quality of life updates we wanted to include. They will be added in 1.0.2.
Had a lot of fun with this series on my channel. Still trying to figure out how to home mimics but I think I got a pretty good evaluation at the end! heres the full Playlist!
This game scratches an itch, but identifying some of the mixed breeds are so annoying, also I am proud to say I am a certified Jingles hater. I cannot see what he is along with Circus but I'll be dead the day I do. also, I'd be interesting if we could see for ourselves what the mimic reacts to, like making them the opposite of what they clone. nevertheless I love this game and I hope it gets more updates!!!
Hopefully, the coming update will make mixed-breed identification less of a hassle!
Thank you for the tip! We just found out Calico, Jingles, Caramel, and Jovial are impossible to solve due to mistakes with their assets. Expect an update within the next week to patch this. I am sorry for the mistake.
Bought this before I realised it wasn't compatible with a Mac - happy to support regardless, but please let me know if this is something you're considering for the future because I'd love to play!
We do intend to make it compatible with Mac in the future. Currently, we are locked to Windows because of the encryption method I use, but I have been looking into other methods.
Thank you so much for the support! I do not know if Itch allows refunds, but I am happy to look into it if you would prefer to be refunded.
I can't open this game - it just says not responding, which is a shame as it looks fun. The web browser demo seems to work but it's way too small for me to see any writing on the menu even and I don't remember how to make it full screen. Hopefully I will be able to play this once it is updated as I was excited to play :)
Edit: I can now play this! Love it so far, especially with it telling you what you missed now and I'm glad it started working for me!
Hey Fatedframer, what are you running the game on? The game is currently only compatible with 64-bit Windows computers due to the encryption method I use. Learning other encryption methods is on my to-do list, but it has been difficult, especially since I only have a 64-bit computer myself.
To full screen the demo, select settings (The top right button) on the home screen, and the top left button of the settings menu sets the game to full screen. You can also do this after selecting new game by hitting the button in the top left of the screen after the game begins.
Hi, sorry I couldn't reply. I'm a little confused as that is what my laptop is, 64-bit windows, however I will happily wait for an update to see if it is fixed - these things seem to happen beyond my understanding sometimes. I did download the demo and that worked though.
I'm glad the demo works! We just uploaded the update! Make sure you unzip the download, and if you're getting this blue screen (Photo attached) you can hit "More info" to try running the game.
I hope it works!
It works!! I'm still not sure what exactly it was as I was messing around with my laptop's settings prior to downloading the update too but whatever it was worked out, thank you for your replies.
Awesome! I'm really glad it works now!
Love this game so far! I really enjoy all of the interesting clown designs! I hope to see a system that tells a report on how you messed up, maybe as a letter system coming straight from clients, or a printed-out complaint from the girl down the hall. I can't wait to see how the development progresses! Well done, team!
Also, can breeds from the same book breed with each other? I always assumed not but I'm not too sure.
Thank you for playing our game! Clowns from the same breed lineage can indeed breed with each other!
Very fun, but I wish the feedback for incorrect placements was a bit clearer? ended up having smiley brought in 3 times, and boss wendy and princess twice, and I'm not sure what I did wrong? also I find the lighting requirement confusing, like if a household says yes to lighting does that mean its unsuitable for a clown that prefers shade? it would also be nice to know what breeds are suitable for the reservations, and I'm still kinda confused on when/when not to send clowns to the zoo or reservation. so far I've just sent every nightmare clown to the zoo
overall though I'm very excited for update progress on this game, its really cool :)
Thank you for playing our game and for the feedback! I did notice the reservation flier was perhaps not clear enough. It'll be updated in the next version of the game, as well as information on placement mistakes. I agree the lighting is probably the most confusing aspect. I'll have to think on making that clearer. In the meantime, I will say the intention of the reserve is for clowns that are compatible with other clowns and do not need people or pets.
Absolutely wonderful game, Cowboy and Basil are my favorite clowns so far and I'm defiantly going to make art of them. Wish i could adopt my own clown but i understand if that isn't a feature you're planning to include in the future.
Thank you for your feed back! Adopting your own clown is a fun idea! We don't currently have any plans for that in the game but we'll keep that in mind going forward! Cowboy and Basil will both be in Clown Catchers, a TCG we are working on, currently in prototype phase. We would love to see fan art if you decide to draw them!
Hey! Great game enjoying it, but at the end of the week review, I can't keep going it brings me back to the main page, and the continue button just has me redo the same day. Am i missing something?
Thank you! It means a lot to hear you're enjoying the game! Currently, the end-of-week review is the end of the game. We have been working on a longer version of the game, but I don't have a timeline yet for when that will be available. Before that comes out, there will be an update to make identifying mixed breeds easier and allow you to see specific placement mistakes. Likely other updates to follow as we've found a lot we can improve on since publishing version 1.
There are over 150 individual clowns in the current version of the game, and the clowns you get each day are randomized, so I encourage you to restart your playthrough if you want to see every clown. Hopefully, we will have an update for you soon!
Thanks for getting back so fast! Good to know I wasn't missing anything. I have absolutely played a few times through and MAY be neurotic enough to have actually written out a physical sheet table with all the clown types and their family compatibility to make it easier for myself not having to flip through the books.
Is it a possibility that you could add more bookmarks? Three isn't a lot.
A+ Looking forward to future updates keep at it guys! Be proud.
😮 Writing out the table is impressive! Early in the game development, we toyed with having 5 bookmarks, but we didn't like how it looked. We will play with the idea a bit more and see if we can make more bookmarks visually appealing, but they can't cover the drawer because it's interactable.
Thank you!!
Have you considered having them scrollable? Like you can see three but if you use the mouse wheel it can move left and right to show more. Though you do plan to make it easier to find mixed breeds so that'll be helpful there
I'm currently working on filling out a blank copy of my table with mixed breeds I've found. Would you like to see my not mixed breed table? (That's spoilers!)
Hey Falsus, I just realized I never responded to this! We have added more bookmarks to the to-do list. Scrollable bookmarks are a good idea! We'll have to try it out and see how it feels.
I would love to see the table! We've been inspired by the recent surge in interest in this game and really appreciate knowing people are actually enjoying it! However, I am hesitant to say whether or not your information is correct.
Love the clowns and the story was pretty interesting and unsettling. The art style and music are fitting for the theme and the poster at the desk is mad silly. Looking forward to updates on minor things pertaining to end-of-day results and more support for different OS 🤡
Thanks for playing our game! Hearing that people are enjoying it has been a great motivator for working hard on the next update!
Fun game! I hope to see it expanded upon. I was really interested in the lore. However, I do wish it told you what mistakes you made at the end of the day! Or at least at the end of the week when you get the evaluation report.
Thanks for playing our game! There's a lot more we're working on to add to the game. Clearer information on mistakes is on the list! More lore as well! We appreciate the feedback!
Playing on Firefox, The Demo Spawns the entire game off screen regardless of being windowed or fullscreen making the demo impossible to play. highly recommending a downloadable version of the demo
Thank you for letting us know! We can definitely add a downloadable version for the demo.
