Downscaled Adventures
We strongly recommend standalone builds for better performance and gamepad support.
Downscaled Adventures
Story
Your whole family has shrunk! Explore your house, which now looks like a giant space sheltering weird insects and other animals of all kinds, to find out what happened!
Development status
This game was developed for Lospec Jam 2.
It is currently a prototype only featuring one room and open dialogues. We aim at creating full missions and more rooms to meet other family members.
Known issues
- Character name in dialogue bubbles may be cut by screen top edge
- When skipping dialogues, bubbles appear with visual glitches
- The ant workers don't disappear after accepting to help you (only the ant chief disappears, marking the end of the demo)
- Menus have not been fully adapted to pixel art, so some windows may have weird colors or dimensions
- On itch.io, toggling fullscreen via browser (e.g. using F11) will break the Fullscreen option inside the game. Make sure to focus the game before using F11, or toggle fullscreen via the options menu.
Commands
The standard controls are following Lospec Jam 2 Console Specs and are based on an 8 Button Controller (NES-like: directional pad, 2 main buttons A and B, 2 system buttons Start and Select). Those "official" controls are in bold in the tables below. However, for convenience / accessibility, we also added additional mappings for people playing with SNES-like controllers.
In addition, thanks to Maaack's Menus Template add-on for Godot, you can customize key bindings entirely in the Options > Controls menu.
