How to completely uninstall / how to fix

I've had a persistent problem where the game won't let me save creatures (or even give them a name, as of this update it bugs out and deselects the whole window after the first letter now) and now the simulation becomes a blank screen and never moves on after generation 5. I've noticed the game already knows all my settings from before even after uninstalling and reinstalling, including when I tried to hunt down every file and folder named "Evolution" or "Keiwan" on my machine, and with the fresh install it doesn't even let me choose my resolution or anything any more. I feel like if I could just kill whatever old files it keeps digging up that the problem would go away but I can't seem to find them.

Hi!

You can find the data such as creature saves, simulation saves and gallery saves here:

C:\Users\<your_username>\AppData\LocalLow\Keiwan Donyagard\Evolution\

Unity stores player preference data in the registry on Windows. You can find and delete the values for Evolution in the Windows Registry Editor under

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Unity\UnityEditor\Keiwan Donyagard\Evolution

The fact that you can't choose the resolution at startup any more is purely because that was a Unity feature which they just removed completely in their newer versions. Since the v4 update of Evolution, you can now go to the settings under the "General" tab and switch "Window Mode" between "Windowed" and "Fullscreen". In Windowed mode, you can now resize the window to your liking.

I had already tried deleting the AppData files but it didn't do any good. Deleting the stuff in the registry does seem to have worked, I can at least type a name for creatures now, hopefully that means it fixed everything. So weird that it took deleting registry information to get the game to work properly but I guess I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth right?
