Think something could be improved? I’m happy to hear your thoughts

This seriously has to be the most impressive GB Studio game I have ever played. It totally feels like something a team of professional developers could have put out back in the day. My only critique is that the music can be a bit rough in some places, especially the BuyBuyBuy theme. Very, very good other than that. Please finish this game!

Thank you so much Kirb! I really, really appreciate that super positive feedback

I will keep your thoughts about the music in mind. It's definitely not what I'd consider finished, so stay tuned for more polish in that department

I promise you I'm going to finish the game!

PS - what do you think is bugging you about the shop music?

give puppers a helicopter cap

So what I'm hearing you say is you think Puppers needs to have a helicopter cap

yes

I'll see what I can do 😀

My only suggestion is that I found the frequent screenshake to be a bit intense -- it would be nice to have an option to turn that off, though I'm sure that would be a pain to implement in GB Studio~~

Thanks for letting me know about that. I can think of a way to make it an option to turn off

I am absolutely loving this game! For if I didn’t know this was a GB studio game I’d totally believe this was a professional title!

The only criticisms I have are just little nitpicks that I’m not sure of how they could be fixed or added but I know are possible.

1. Could you try to do 8 direction movement for the big map? I’ve seen other GB studio games do it and although it isn’t important, I think adding that would make it even more professional looking!

2. Not a huge complaint, but I wanna have a health bar that shows up in the sidescroller sections. t’s great having it in the pause menu, but having it as just a little health bar or icons would make the experience a bit easier to understand when I should and shouldn’t heal, because the first time I played, I didn’t understand the need for the canned peaches because I didn’t think I actually had health.

Anyways, that’s pretty much all I have in terms of complaints. I’m really loving this game and I really hope a company picks this project up for a physical release!

Thanks KizBiz! I can't do those things for this version because I'm using GBstudio 2, but I plan to have them in the sequel. I agree they'll be nice improvements

Thanks for playing and sharing your ideas

Thanks Rajcsányi! I tested this out early in development, but decided against it because it interfered with some puzzles I wanted to make. I might try it out in the sequel if I can figure out how to implement it into the latest version of GBStudio

I don’t use ChatGPT. I don’t want it to steal my code 😓
