Wow, Skryblink! I just saw your results for 'Cataclysmic Construction' and they are absolutely insane! Huge congrats on getting #1 in Audio and #2 Overall! Also, ranking #3 in Enjoyment and #12 in Gameplay out of 1,435 entries is an incredible achievement. It was a long and exhausting week, but seeing you crush it like this makes it all worth it. Well deserved, bro!

This was my first time joining the Brackeys Game Jam and it was a really fun experience.
I ranked around #416 out of 1400 games, so I'm honestly happy with that result.
I also got a lot of helpful feedback and comments which helped me understand what I can improve in my future games.
Congrats to everyone who participated and especially the winners. There were so many creative ideas!
The level of polish in this game is astonishing for a single developer who worked for only a week. The simple art style is very appealing, and the ball control physics are unique and provide a satisfying feeling upon mastery. The variety of levels prevents boredom and keeps the player eager to see the next 'strange place'.
the atmosphere is incredible! I really love the PS1-style retro visuals and the 'Hellscape' vibe—it fits the 'Strange Places' theme perfectly. The way the music reacts to the instrument choices is a very unique and interactive touch. You should be proud of what you achieved in such a short time! I’d be honored if you could check out my game and share your rating as well. Great work
Absolutely fantastic! The level design and mysterious storyline give the game a unique feel, and the pixel art perfectly complements the atmosphere. I loved how each room in the cave has a completely different character. Keep developing the jump system as I mentioned in the comments; the idea has great potential to become a major project!
Thanks for the feedback! Regarding the player rotation, I actually designed it that way on purpose; since the jam's theme is 'Strange Places,' I wanted the movement to feel unconventional and a bit 'off' to add to the strangeness of the world. As for the gravity flip speed, it's a balance I'm still tweaking, but I appreciate your patience! I've also heard the comments about the camera and I'm looking into better ways to improve visibility. Glad you found it interesting—and yeah, Newton definitely made things harder for all of us! ;D
This is such a clever take on the gravity-flip genre! The way you implemented the switching between two parallel worlds feels really smooth and reminds me of a puzzle version of the movie Tenet. I especially liked the 'floating' effect you can create by rapidly switching—it’s a very cool emergent mechanic! Great job on the minimalistic art style too. Keep up the great work!
It’s been an amazing experience! Since I developed my entire game on a mobile phone, it was definitely challenging and stressful at times. But seeing everything come together and playing all these creative games made it totally worth it. The community has been so supportive, and I’ve learned so much. Congrats on finishing your first jam!
Sending a firefighter to extinguish the sun is the strangest and most entertaining idea I've seen in this game so far! I especially loved how the music became increasingly intense and tense as the sun's heat decreased; the connection between sound and gameplay is excellent. The graphics are simple, but the VFX makes them look professional. Amazing work!
A massive and impressive feat for a team of three in just one week! The lighting quality and the terrifying monster designs give the game a very distinctive atmosphere. Using the daggers is strangely enjoyable, and the sense of survival reminded me of classic games. I agree with the comments about the crosshair, but the game shows great promise as a starting point for a larger project.
I would be very grateful to get feedback from an ambitious team like yourselves on my game :)
Really enjoyed playing this! The pixel art is top-notch, and the concept of matching species to their habitats is very clever and engaging. The atmosphere you created with the music and visuals is spot on. Great job!
I’d be happy if you could check out my game and leave a rating as well. Best of luck!
Really fun arcade experience! I liked the submarine movement and the idea of using the flashlight to deal with enemies—it adds a nice layer of strategy. The balance with health and energy pickups kept the gameplay engaging while chasing a high score. Great job on the art and sound too! I’d be happy if you could check out my game and leave a rating as well. Best of luck!
Great job on your first jam! The character movement feels incredibly snappy and smooth, and I really enjoyed the gravity-flip mechanics—it added a cool twist to the platforming. The jump dust and screen shake effects also give the game a nice polished feel. Congrats on finishing your project! I’d be happy if you could check out my game and share your rating too. Best of luck!
