Glad you enjoyed! I would've loved to add more worlds to explore or ways to interact with the objects, but I was running out of time so I kept it short.

I really like the atmosphere of this game! It almost felt like I was in a dream, and the background music complemented the visuals quite nicely. I am a sucker for retro graphics in games lol.
Oh and congrats on your first game jam! The first one is always the hardest, but I think you did a great job designing the atmosphere of the game. Sure, the gameplay is a little limited, but I find that the visuals, atmosphere, and sound design make up for it. This almost feels like interactive art.
The biggest feedback would be to make it more clear what the player is supposed to do. I know you put a detailed explanation in the game description, but in my experience people don't read those. It's better to put concise instructions right in the middle of the game. Like if in the beginning you put an epigraph like "HEMOPHONY —The sound of blood" it'd really set the mood. Then the instrument select screen should have a longer timer, maybe 15 seconds, because instead of reading the quotes that were on screen I was frantically trying to choose what instrument I wanted.
All in all, this is a great first game jam entry (much better than my first jam, that's for sure!). Great vibes, and great music.
Why yes, I did in fact make a zoo filled entirely with humans and kept them alive by only feeding them pizza. I am pro interdimensional zoo keeper.
I really liked this game! The graphics and sound effects were super cute, and the gameplay loop was quite cozy. I did notice some bugs as I populated my zoo entirely with humans, however. For some reason, all my humans would be renamed to the latest human I kidnapped befriended and all their wellness scores would become exactly the same. This wouldn't apply to the rare humans in my zoo though.
There was also a little "bump" in the ground as I started to walk right in the zoo. Speaking of which, having the option to warp back to the left of the screen is a very nice touch.
I remember playing your previous jam game with the bird, and can definitely see how much you improved! You've got a talent for these cute games. Good job!!!
I found this to be quite challenging, and was unable to completely finish :(
I think if you were able to control the jump height depending on how long you hold the jump button, it would be good. There were times when i felt like I was jumping too high in order to fit through a narrow passage, so having an option to jump a little shorter would be awesome. Also, adding some coyote time would be helpful too!
As a side note, I've noticed this is the first game uploaded on your profile—if it's your first game jam, congrats!!! Completing a game jam is an awesome achievement that not many people can accomplish :)
Ah yes, just another regular museum from Ohio with nothing strange about it at all :)
I liked the music and the pixel art! However, for some reason the egg wasn't really doing anything when I played. I held down E at the beginning of my run but after that, I never had to interact with the egg ever again? Also, I was a little confused at first on where to go to interact with the cash register and customers, so I just walked around everywhere until the prompt to interact popped up. I wanted to look at the instructions again, but couldn't figure out how, so I had to reboot the game.
Just needs a bit of polishing! But beyond that, I love how unique working at a museum with an eldritch egg is. Very cool idea.
Managed to get 390 points! I really love the audio and artstyle of this game. Flying around and collecting the food scraps was pretty fun.
This idea can totally be expanded upon! Maybe different foods could cause different effects when you eat them, like changing how fast you fly. Or maybe there could be different levels, like a restaurant or dining room.
Very cool concept! At first I was a little confused on how to use the echolocation mechanic; I tried pressing a bunch of buttons but nothing worked. But then I accidentally made some noise IRL and realized the game was using my microphone lol. I love this idea and feel like it can definitely be expanded upon! Maybe more levels or things to collect within the maze.
Congrats on your first game jam! IMO the first one is always the hardest one, but it gets a lot easier as you do more.
I checked out your game and I like the concept. Collecting stuff while being chased is a tried and true formula haha. My only feedback is that there should be more charges of the navigator, because I felt like I was aimlessly wandering around when I ran out of navigator charges. Maybe add drops to give back navigator charges, or make the navigator unlimited, but with a cooldown on use?
