If you post it here, people will probably miss it and assume you don’t have any.

Please post your devlogs on the “Devlog” part of your Itch page.

You don’t need a playable game to have an Itch page, and I’ll likely miss your devlogs if you post them here.

Yeah. Please post your devlogs on the “Devlog” part of your Itch page.

Also, your test link isn’t working.

Nice art, btw.

Best to submit it as soon as you create it, just to make sure. And yes, use the devlog feature to write about your progress on the game. You don’t have to make it playable, just document your progress in the devlogs.

Apologies for the late reply, I was otherwise occupied.

Definitely the devlog option. If it’s in the community chat, I almost certainly won’t see it.

Is it just me or is the off-Itch part of the devlog unavailable?

Still, you get some points from me for having devlogs at all.

You seem to have forgotten to post devlogs.

Can you link it here?

Also, make sure to read the rules.

You can already join the next one, it’s a monthly jam: Continue Your Game 6

Also, if you can take a look at and rate the devlogs in this jam’s entries, that would be highly appreciated, too.

Thank you for your interest in joining!

Can you add keybind change options (or at least have both Z and Y keys usable)?

Thanks for the feedback!

I’ll at least try to continue working on this one in February for the CYG , although I need to get better at managing my time.

And yeah, I’ll post progress updates in my Discord and on the game page as devlogs!

Probably the best game I’ve played this jam :D

I’d suggest changing the color of the boxes to make them more obvious, though.

I’d also like to invite you to the Continue Your Game jam because I’d love to see this concept blossom into a full-fledged game.

I guess you didn’t have time to playtest this because the difficulty is practically unplayable.

One thing I’d recommend is replacing the “Arrow keys/WASD to select a note, Space to hit the note” with “Arrow keys/WASD to hit the note” which is a much more intuitive control scheme.

I’m looking forward to see how this game develops!

I’m also hosting a monthly jam for continuing work on jam games (among other projects), if you’re interested: Continue Your Game

The part where I’m supposed to launch myself up with an axe up a tunnel above spikes is atrociously hard. Can you add wall sliding?

I like the concept, but the map is too big and resource spawning too random. Would be nice to be able to get the water in one place, for example.

Arch Linux with KDE desktop environment.

Looks pretty interesting. Looking forward to seeing where the story goes next!

The tutorial crashes the game on Linux, and is there more than one level?

It’s too hard, especially the first boss (stronger than the final boss, could barely damage it - was the dropdown floor really necessary?) and parts that require both timing and speed at the same time.

Also, the concept doesn’t really fit the theme well.

Your entry has been disqualified due to aforementioned reasons.

Please note that you are not allowed to use AI generated content in your thumbnail or project page, and if you do not remove it by the submission deadline, your entry will be disqualified.

I think checkpoints should be after every level. Also, the AI on first two levels is too tough.

Because the jam entries site shows the thumbnails, and I don’t want to see a single AI slop image on it.

This rule is non-negotiable. Either follow it, or at least have the decency of leaving the jam before I remove you myself.

It would be nice to have a save option (that is, to save the game, close, and continue where I left off later), at least on download versions (I know the web version might have an issue with that).

That’s a cute artstyle. Looking forward to playing the game!

Please note that you are required to disclose any and all usage of Generative AI in your project, and that you are not allowed to use AI-generated images for your thumbnail or on your project page, as per jam rules.

Failure to adhere to said rules will result in disqualification.

Thank you for your consideration.

This is the best entry I’ve opened so far, at least devlog-wise (and the game is pretty great and fun, too).

It’s projects like this one that make hosting Continue Your Game jams worth it - not to mention the story behind the game.

I wish you and your team the best of luck with this and other projects of yours!

So… you have no devlogs to present for a jam that’s rated based on devlogs?

where devlog

It’s a bit confusing that your game has a devlog in another place. Please copy your devlog to the page you submitted here.

I don’t see any devlogs.

I’ve made changes to fix these issues now.

Thank you for the feedback!

I plan to add more check/save points and proper level resetting by version 0.3.

And yeah, going to try to do something about the box drop problem, too. Would you prefer the game to try to spawn the box behind you, or just fail to drop it more obviously? (I’m going to replace the Godot icon with a sprite that is more obviously facing left/right, too.)
