Carp in the Sunlight in Algae

Today's 3D scene is based on the carp fish. And the underwater thickets where the fish swim. It's bright here. Sunlight penetrates from above. And the fish scales also sparkle with silver and gold. How beautiful it is here. And how interesting it is to watch the underwater world when the sun rises in the morning and sets at sunset. The world is transformed.

Thickets, algae. Lots of them. Tall stems reach toward the surface. Toward the light. That's where it's most abundant. The thickets here are their own world. A whole underwater forest. Even the bottom is overgrown with fine underwater grass. Delicious stuff, by the way. All the fish here eat grass. Of which there is plenty.

And there are open spaces. Plains underwater. Where there is nothing. Just a field. This is a great place for carp. The water is excellent. Carp swim here a lot. And I couldn't find the shore. It must be a lake. With varying depths. And it's big. The carp understands this. This is his home. He lives here.

At any moment, he can swim up to the underwater door, and it leads to another world. Other fish live there. They are all friends. Each has its own underwater world. Thickets and seaweed. Sand, water. Everything is the same. There's enough space for everyone.

Today, the carp will be in his own world. There's plenty of room. And it's great to have a good swim here. Maybe he'll find something interesting. It's not that deep here. It can be a bit dark in places. In other places, there's plenty of light coming in from above. The fish knows nothing about the surface. But most likely, there's only water and sky there. And nothing else. The sun still shines during the day. There's probably not even a wind there. The water is always calm and quiet.

And here, underwater, there are some underwater caves. Like a honeycomb. Shallow. And some like little houses. That's further out, if you swim. You can drink tea there. Play a game console. Do some Basic problems. The fish already have everything there. Read magical picture books. Learn about other fish. And keep notes of your observations. Create an underwater map. Or watch fish TV. They even have that.

There are no branches or trees on the bottom here. That means either there's no shore at all and it's just a self-contained space. With water. Or something else. Each fish has its own home. And each such world is a great mystery. For now, you can swim in the sunlight among the algae. It's a very beautiful sight. Later, you can paint it with watercolors.

Vaporwave Road – Mathematical Calculations and Columns

This is a visual intro. You just have to watch it. It's Vaporwave-themed. But it turned out more like retrowave. A kind of synthetic future. Like a background image. It's taken from the FreePik website. And there's even a caption stating that this is an AI-generated image posted on that website. And there's a little logo at the bottom about it. I didn't remove it. Well, it's cooler this way. It's computer-like.

Also, there are the columns here. They're a hallmark of the VaporWave style. Like Greek columns, for example. For now, I'm using the columns. They're another image. And the idea is a road in this virtual space. Like movement or flight. Like some kind of dynamic pixel arcade game. Like Space Harrier. That's the idea. You move. And there are columns around you. Like a movement indicator.

The movement itself has several types so far. These are rows of columns. Right, left, left, and right. And that's one type of animation. Pre-written. I spent a long time choosing the parameters. Because I'm not good with math. And a bunch of views with flat animations. Like a side view. These are columns. Different sizes. Small, medium, or large.

And animations. All sorts. Side views. Two-dimensional. Like stairs up and down. Scallops. The same stairs. Just up and down. And so on, a certain number of columns. So, there's a length. It's arbitrary. About 10-something. In that range. There are also what I called special animations for different views. They just have different parameters. And it looks a little different. For example, like very thin columns, but almost the entire screen in height. Everything moves off-screen to the right.

After all, I'm not good with math at all. And choosing the parameters takes time. I need to correctly understand what numbers I need. How to create a simple formula, though. One that will track the image's progress. And for now, I'm still working on this.

I've broken it down into modules. Each animation type is in its own module. That is, in my file. And all this is in the now-familiar QB64. Which has now faded into the background compared to Free Basic. So I remembered this BASIC dialect.

Here's how to select parameters. And such small formulas. Algorithms for how they appear. Small. I decided to take this step. And, of course, I slowed down a lot. Because I don't have a mathematical mind. But I knew this would happen. And I did it intentionally. To practice. To take the first step.

You write the coordinate for the angle. And you have to come up with a formula for how these corner points will appear on the screen. There's a step. There's a total distance. A starting point. And in theory, you can conjure up a bunch of different display methods this way. A bunch of formulas. A bunch of algorithms that are easy to create. And that's interesting. That's a plus.

But the minus is that you need mathematical mindset. Without it, everything is done slowly. Crooked and as it turns out. You have a very rough idea of the result. Like, wow, that turned out pretty cool! I'll leave it like that. I'm trying to make more precise calculations here and there.

And all of this is time-based. That is, the time step. Time intervals. How it all moves. Again, in theory, it could be faster or slower. But right now, I have everything in the same temporal speed mode. Time is, so to speak, speed. It's a new perspective on this parameter. Of course, everything is somehow strange or new. This is the Vaporwave world. A kind of luminal space.

Alpha Zeo – Space Agency

Today's pixel art is based on the YS III video game for the Super Nintendo. Incidentally, it's one of the earliest games. Literally several role-playing games were released there this year, including Final Fantasy. A game about adventure and travel. Side view. A very interesting solution! For a role-playing game.

And this is my drawing based on YS 3 (SNES). Welcome to the Alpha Zeo space agency. You can sit down and drink some coffee. It's clear that this is your first time on such a large spaceship. All is well. A journey awaits. You have chosen the planet Far II.

This planet is known for its forests and dungeons. There are many cities there, and magic is actively practiced. There is a mages' guild. The journey there will only take a week. Enjoy your flight. For now, you can wander around and explore everything. Talk to other travelers. Who knows, maybe someone is also going there. And you might even make friends. I think you have a big adventure ahead of you. A really big one.

Meanwhile, Alpha Zeo invites you to visit other planets in this solar system. Or nearby ones. The flight is about a week. And how do you like the Ice Planet? Ice IV. It's the only habitable planet there, with ice and snow. The other 10 planets are too cold. It's always around the end of winter there. Snow and ice. And water. And rain. And snowfall.

Abysses of Dungeons – Magic Decks and Adventures

Today's pixel art is based on the video game Arcana for the Super Nintendo. It was a super 16-bit console. With incredibly cool graphics and games. Especially in the early 90s. And it was home to a ton of role-playing games. All sorts. Even this one. Something mystical. Tarot cards, probably. Dungeons. And leveling up. And a little anime style.

And this is my drawing based on Arcane (SNES). Mysticism and dungeons. What can I say – a classic theme. The dungeon conceals many mysteries and secrets. Plunged into darkness. So dark that nothing can be seen. The warrior and the sorceress take cautious steps forward.

Everyone has spells, amulets, and weapons at the ready. Anything can happen. For example, a sudden trap. Or a monster jumping out of the darkness. It sees everything. And you can barely see.

There are magic cards here. The ones you bought at the alchemist's shop. They'll be very useful. Much depends on this magic of the stars and elements. A successful deck will save an adventurer's life. More than once. Such a card can help you teleport out of battle, which is unfortunate. Or heal when all your healing potions have run out.

And of course, these are the mythical astral beings you summon. You can befriend some of them, and they'll become your faithful companions on your adventures. They, from the other side of the mirror, are also curious about what's going on here. And they can be friends.

But they have their own character. They might not like you. And then the card, such an expensive card, bought from the wizard, will vanish into thin air. You can create creatures from the ether, which exist for a while and then disappear. Cards are very important.

Once the deck is complete, it's time to head to the dungeon. There are several hours of dungeon raiding ahead. I need to try to get as far as I can while I'm still fresh. And then stop and assess my strength. Make a plan. And at the same time, figure out how interesting this dungeon is.

Some caves are full of monsters and nothing useful. And it can be difficult to move forward. But sometimes there are chests and amulets. You can find all sorts of magical things. And the monsters aren't that strong. Who knows what's in that abyss?

Whitefish in a Lake

Today's 3D scene is based on the whitefish. And this is this fish's world. The fish lives here. It swims a lot. It swims to other fish in their little worlds. Each fish here has its own world, where this fish lives. There's a huge lake here. It's simply enormous. And you can swim a lot and peacefully.

The water is calm. And there's plenty of space here. It's a whole cosmos. And there are places like this. It's essentially a desert. But it's underwater. And there are places where a lot of things grow. These huge algae, like trees, almost rise to the very surface.

It's also interesting in the algae there. A whole underwater forest. There's a place where the water is shallower. And there the water is more golden. There's sand there. And in another place, the algae grows again. This is real space for any fish. And you can stretch your fins. And have a nice swim.

This lake is probably shaped like a circle. And in the middle, there's an island with green grass. And a field. Ducklings and a duck live there. There are geese there. They swim a lot there. Sometimes they dive. But the lake is simply enormous, a whole universe. You don't see them every time.

The water here is sometimes deeper, sometimes shallower. Sometimes there are bushes and thickets. But it's also interesting to swim through them. Sometimes it's a desert with different sand. And sometimes the water is murky. This means this space is expanding. And a new water fragment will appear. This is where it goes next. An arm of the lake. And up there, there should be another island. A green one with grass. And there are also ducklings, a duck, a goose.

Just yesterday, a fish found another shallow arm. And there the water is golden. But such that fish can still swim there. Such clear water. Sunlight. It was wonderful to swim there. There are lots of shells on the bottom. This place wasn't here before.

There's plenty of room to explore. And the fish can always return to their little world. This is a piece of the lake. Where only fish live.

Moon Magic - the landing of a mysterious castle in the city

Today's pixel art is based on the Shin Megami Tensei II video game for the Super Nintendo. It's a mystical video game. Tarot cards, magic, demons, the otherworldly world. And it turns out the game was on both the NES and the Super Nintendo. We wander through labyrinths. And watch the phases of the moon. Monsters can be more or less numerous. You can talk to them. And recruit them into your team. I played a little, but not this one. I played it on PlayStation 1 and 2. I really like Persona 2.

And this is my drawing based on Shin Megami Tensei 2 (SNES). You're in a mysterious castle. It's landed in the middle of town. And you're drawn there by magical power. The fog clears. The door opens. And lanterns float in the air before you.

The wizard studies you carefully. His gaze is critical. He's serious. He floats slightly in the air on a magic carpet. He holds a crystal magic ball in his hands. It glows in different shades. Gray, blue. The wizard alternately looks into the ball and then at you.

"Aha!" the wizard said in a low voice. He's not a man of many words.

You stared at him in amazement. And couldn't help but move. Not say anything. Red velvet. Those are the curtains. This room looks very theatrical. Like a low-budget Asian action movie. Hong Kong, Bruce Lee. With a mystical Asian flavor on VHS.

"Well, of course!" the wizard said. And he looked only at the crystal ball.

After these words, the eyes from above began to peer at you intently. It seemed this wasn't just a set. You came to your senses. And even began to move. You took a couple of steps to the side. You stood up. With a clear desire to leave this place. Where were you going? It was a city. An ordinary street. And then, instantly, the castle landed. An ancient one. With this wizard.

You were sucked in like a vacuum cleaner. And then the wizard looked at you. Eyes from above were watching you just as intently. And then the wind blew. And you were carried away. Back. Through the great hall to the castle exit. You were an unexpected guest. Apparently. And you were of no interest to the wizard. You saw his magic carpet swaying. It really was hanging in the air.

The smoke cleared. And the castle doors closed. Before your eyes. But it seemed the city had become somehow different. And the sky. Something had changed. The moon. What a bright moon. Like a beacon. There had clearly never been a moon like this before!

Snowmen – real magic and real winter

A winter fairy tale for today. Snowmen! It's evening. Such a beautiful winter evening. It's been dark for a long time. All is quiet. Such a beautiful winter. And Night. Or evening. And now the snowmen are finally finished. One big. The other – his friend. Small. Winter creativity.

Snow all around. And snowdrifts. New Year's is coming soon. And so much magic and enchantment has fallen along with the snow. That the snowmen have come to life. No one expected this. Although there are such fairy tales here. That everything made of snow comes to life on a magical evening. Before New Year's.

The snowmen have now become friends. And they will go about their business. There will be a lot of snow soon. They say so. They know.

Andromeda Photo – Look Through a Telescope

I'm not abandoning the Visual I theme. As Gosha says, don't put off learning new technologies. Words of wisdom. I'm continuing the theme of my screensaver programs, united under the name Visual I. This one has a controlled screensaver again. And again, space. Andromeda.

Andromeda Photo. This is about the depths of space. One large photograph. Horizontal spread. A huge photograph. Of space. With the name Andromeda. A telescope must have been pointed there. And that's how this image came out. And then it ended up online. I can't imagine how to photograph Andromeda. But apparently it's possible.

The theme is straight out of the last screensaver. Where the space photos are. And there was this photograph. But reduced to 800 x 600. And here it is, in the original, simply gigantic. 7 megabytes. And 7000 resolution. So I decided to cut this photograph. Into blocks. 4 blocks vertically and 2 horizontally.

A total of 8 images. Each was resized to approximately 800 by 600. The result is 800 by 511. And these images of Andromeda are here. In detail, so to speak. And this is where the splash screen comes from.

Several modes. Four of them. Time interval – adjustment. Arrows move around the Andromeda map. Modes are switched by numbers – 1, 2, 3, 4. Time is changed by + and -. And arrows for manual navigation on the map. Up and down. Left and right.

Mode 1. This is the horizontal direction of camera movement. That is, from 1 to 4. And then moves to the Y axis. And again from 1 to 4. A total of 8 images. Divided into two lines. Coordinate Y = 1. Four images. And coordinate Y = 2. Four images again. First, move along the first strip. Then along the second.

Mode 2. Vertical direction. First the image from the top, then the bottom. And we move along the x-axis by 1 point. And again, the image from the top. Then the bottom. And so on.

Mode 3. This is random. That is, one of the 8 images is randomly selected and shown.

Mode 4. This is user-defined. Only the user changes images using the arrow keys.

Using the + and - keys, you can change the frame hold time. Before changing it. From 5 to 60 seconds. Like on a TV. With a remote control. The idea comes from here.

Keyboard arrows – up, down, left, and right. Moving around the Andromeda map. Works in any mode. The map is two stripes. That is, 2 points high and 4 points long. You move along them using the arrow keys.

This time, I continue to create new topics from time to time. And this is just one of them. A cosmic idea. Far, far away Andromeda. Just think – how many stars are there. And these clusters are galaxies. Just think about it. The scale of the universe. Andromeda is a big thing. As big as the Milky Way. And there are a lot of galaxies like it. Each galaxy has a ton of stars. And around those stars are planets.

So take a close look at what's going on around Andromeda. Use a telescope, keep an eye out. There it is again, space. Mysterious and strange. Once again, I'm a programmer in this field. And you, as a viewer, will soon see Andromeda too. In the meantime, you can watch a sci-fi series with action from the 80s, like V. V. V is like Lian Ross's new album, V. A Beipiaosaurus makes its way through a field

A Beipiaosaurus lives in the forest and loves thickets. Bushes and grass. It's two meters long and weighs about 80 kilograms. The animal's height is about 90 centimeters. It walks on two legs. It has three toes. Just like that! It has three toes! But what toes! It also has a beak. It loves grass. It's covered entirely in protofeathers.

Now it's walking through the thickets. It's a veritable field of tall grass. The field is very long. An interesting place for it. There's no one here. It's quiet. And only the rustling of the grass can be heard. The little dinosaur makes its way further and further. And the field never ends. It's curious to know what lies beyond. Or a forest. Or a river. Or maybe a whole lake? Very rarely, but sometimes a ravine. More likely a forest or a river. A pond, a lake.

And all around is grass. Different and green. All shades of green. The dinosaur knows this grass well. It's everywhere here. And the field takes him further and further. What an interesting place. He goes on and on. And only the sound of the grass. How he moves through the grass.

From a distance, he probably looks like a reptile, a lizard. Or a chicken. Because of the abundance of feathers. And yet he keeps moving. He has good legs. He often goes on such long journeys. To see everything around him. The most important thing is to see everything! So he has to walk like this. And the field goes on and on.

Acrotholus – Around Green Grass

Around green grass. By a river. Or rather, a small river. With a slow current. There's a dinosaur. Its name is Acrotholus. It's small by dinosaur standards. About 2 meters long. Weighs only 40 kilograms. It's very interesting that it has this dome on its head. It's a bone. 10 centimeters thick. This is what really surprises me. It's a growth, like a helmet. It looks a bit like that from the side.

A herbivorous dinosaur. A forest dweller. So it wanders by the river on a sunny day. It likes to walk where there's lots of grass. Such a tasty thing. It's good to eat. Even in this river, grass grows. That's good for Acrotholus. Acrotholus is a dinosaur. Albeit small in size. Compared to its larger friends.

Small dinosaurs, there were many of them too. This is one of them. Here in the grass is where it belongs. In the tall grass. And what a sky today. Blue sky. And green grass. Everything is immersed in greenery. The dinosaur lives here and knows this place very well.

I came to this corner of the forest again. Where a river flows almost immediately. The river flows slowly. And it's always quiet and calm here. The little dinosaur is well-fed and happy. He has this helmet growing on his head. It's cool. He can walk on two legs. It's so fun. You can see everything. Who's wandering where. And he has a tail! Acrotholus is happy!

Green Alien and Wooden Alien - Landing

Green Alien and Wooden Alien have been friends for a long time. And they travel the galaxy together. There's so much unexplored in the galaxy. And then, unexpectedly, they land on a planet. One they'd been interested in a week ago. But they'd already forgotten about it.

Everything there is blue. As if it were ice. The planet is made of ice and something else. Like stone or iron. This seemed unusual to them. Their ship accidentally dropped them on the planet. When they were about to dump their trash here, they accidentally pressed the wrong button. And the ship opened up the floor. And dumped them. And the trash remained on the floor. In the room.

It so happened that the trash can they placed against the wall accidentally pressed the reset button. And now they're falling onto this planet. Luckily, the gravity here is strange. And they seem to sink onto the planet, not fall. So they'll survive. Now we need to figure out what the planet's surface is like.

They were arguing about this just a couple of days ago. One says they're made of iron, the other of ice. They land like feathers. Or like approaching the surface in the ocean. Like snowflakes. It's funny. It even became funny. How did this happen?

First, they mixed up the ship's course. The ship was flying on the old course. And essentially, it went back a week. When they wanted to look at this planet. But then they changed their minds. And now they're back here. This time, one of them deleted the new flight schedule from the ship. And it's still there from last week.

Of course, they're still having fun. But they need to figure this all out somehow. But later. Just in case. The green alien is holding an all-weather emitter in his hand. It's also an analyzer. It collects particles and analyzes them. But it's not working well yet. That needs to be sorted out, too.

Now they need to wait for landing.

Kind Animals Little Cards Version 0.3 "Grasshopper" - Summer and Spring, 10 plus

New little cards about animals—what could be more interesting? Each card is a small program written in Visual Basic. It contains a picture and a story about the animal. Version 0.1 of this program is the most basic version. It shows the idea. And everything is done simply by writing paths.

And the cards themselves are the most important thing. This time we have a beaver, a rabbit or a hare, a shrew, a lark, a mole, a grasshopper, and a crane. Bright pictures. Which were drawn a long time ago. There are some about summer. And spring. You can read and think about the little animals. Who live in their own magical world. Almost the same as ours here. But a little different. Kinder and smarter. As they say.

There, the little animals are busy with their own things. Flying, resting. Pottering about in the garden. They have enough to do every day. Then spring comes there too. And the world begins to come alive. To thaw. Birds return to these familiar places. A pleasant meeting. To return home after winter.

Or the mole. He lives where it's always summer for him. There, his own world and different places. Somewhere, the grass is always tall and green. There, in an abandoned garden, lives a white-toothed shrew. Some kind of rodent. Like a mouse. Or also a mole.

And we forgot the main thing. The main thing in this version is him, the grasshopper. So green. And the grass is as green as he is. He's a musician. The grasshoppers in these parts are amazing musicians. They sing and compose. It's worth visiting their world. And listen to these musicians sing. You could say they're the summer's main singers. These are the grasshoppers.

The word "grasshopper" is the name of the version. It's already version 0.3. And this is already moving forward. More animals have arrived. More animals have appeared. And we look at their cards. We read their interesting stories. And we look at the picture. The most important part is the cards. Just pictures and stories. And all sorts of animals are there.

And the grasshopper is a fine fellow. Such a green musician. A big grasshopper. You've never seen such a summer wonder. He sits in the grass. And composes. Little by little, it becomes more and more interesting. The number of animals increases. And we get to know their world. Somewhere, there's only summer. Endless summer!

That's wonderful, really. And somewhere, like ours, there's both winter and spring. And the birds have to fly back and forth. And the grasshopper still sits in the grass and plays a musical instrument. He's a musician! And summer is all around! Lots of cards and lots of events. Lots of animals and lots of stories. 10 plus, as they say.

A moose strolls on a winter night

A moose often strolls at night. Breathing in the fresh air. The air at night is especially fresh. A moose is big. Like a horse. With antlers. You'd imagine it. That's what some little animals say. When they see a moose for the first time. Especially at night. But all the little animals here are kind. And smart. The moose says hello to them all. And invites them in for tea.

For now, there's a field. And fir trees. No one yet. There was a squirrel. A crow. I saw a hare in the distance. It was also white as snow. You could barely see it. But it didn't see the moose. And ran off somewhere toward the forest. Lots of birds, they're cheerful friends. They sit on the branches above.

For now, today is a quiet winter night. It snowed heavily all day. A lot. It was even chilly. Even for a moose. But a moose can take refuge among the fir trees. It's warmer there. The fir trees are warm and kind.

The titmouse-singer is having fun

Ghost Disco City

A 3D scene for today. Inspired by simple 3D graphics like Interstate 76, disco music, and the Space Channel 5 game.

Today, there's a disco in Ghost Town! And the lights come on. Everything starts to glow. Cheerful disco music from the 70s plays. How long ago that was! Now the ghosts are visible to everyone. They sleep during the day. And they begin to dance slowly to the music. Speeding up their movements. Disco Night begins! And so it will be until the morning in Ghost Town.

And then you teleport in a circle of light. Right to the center. From a UFO saucer. In your hands, you have a disco cannon. It's not a weapon. It's something for creating light effects. Which attract ghosts. To make them show up. They like music. And anything that glows. Circular effects. Multicolored circles really attract ghosts. This thing helps ghosts manifest. Icon Start– Banners with good animals

This is another third-party program for good and kind animals Cards. It's another list. A list program. With all the cards. But as images. In the form of banners. Like someone's signature on a forum online. Or banners. Such fun and cool buttons. Small in size.

In my program, I use a resolution of 100 by 30 pixels. And several rows of images. Each image is a banner, 100 by 30 pixels. And they are displayed in a row. With buttons. These are buttons in Visual Basic. They now have a white border. You click a button, and a card with a good and kind animal opens!

Only a list in images. This idea came to me while browsing the social network Tumblr. There were examples of old web design there. Which I remembered and always really like. I wanted something like this. Like banners or forum signatures. Something funny to write there. Or a link to your website. For example.

That's where the idea for the program came from. Just for fun. And it seemed like it would be really cool. And here we have the first implementation. This is version 0.1. Here, as usual, as in the Little List version 0.1, everything is programmed directly with paths. That is, all the cards and paths are already pre-programmed.

The program starts out as a visual element. So, just rectangular banners—it's beautiful. These little rectangles with something drawn inside them. Here are the cards. And here are rectangles. Another extension of the Kind Animals Cards theme.

Currently it's called Icon Start. Maybe I'll come up with another name later. And overall, I also tried banners sized 200 by 60 pixels. They're just twice as big. And it's different from my original idea. I can already picture it in my head. And there are kind of small buttons there.

So I figured I could experiment with the button shape. This could be 200 by 60. And some other size. A smaller size, compared to the original image, which is 800 by 600.

So there could be more programs like this with images. And they would need to be labeled somehow. Maybe by image format. Here it's 100 by 30. So that's 100. Okay.

That's exactly the idea. This program came directly from the web. Like banners. Pictures. There are often a lot of them located somewhere, and they look colorful and beautiful. Each one has something unique and interesting! I wanted to transfer this to the Good and Kind Animals Cards project.

This version really captures the idea of such a program. Banners. And from there you launch a card. Quite convenient. And quite beautiful too. It's more of a game-like format. With pictures.

Beautiful – yes. But I haven't had time to think it through yet. I'm just imagining the idea. Banners. Buttons. You launch the cards. And look at them. Pictures are always fun. Especially since there will only be more pictures over time.

Little List – a program for growth!

Good Animals Cards continues. There's also a program called Little List. It simply displays all the cards you have. Cards are now stored in the Cards folder. And the program scans them automatically. That is, it tries to recognize the cards.

In the previous version, all cards were simply programmed via a direct launch path. This time, the program first searches for a card. Then it's added to the list. The search is based on a pattern, by card name. If there are any, they are added.

The number of cards is also indicated. In a separate text format. You can also scan the folder at any time. By clicking the scan button. This is short for scanning. In this simple way, the program has already grown to version 0.2.

The program is simply a list of cards. From there, you can launch a card. And the card name is simply written there. In text form. A program was created to display cards. And to expand the idea of Good Animals Cards, so that there would be something more than just the cards themselves. First, something simple. And then something fun. And also practicing simple VBA code.

You don't have to use it. But you can see the existing cards in text form. And from there, launch them and view them. Read stories about kind animals. Look at the picture. The theme of Kind Animals brought together a lot of things for me. Both a desire to draw and to write stories. Specifically, about kind animals. Pictures and drawings of kind animals. From time to time, I draw them. And I really enjoy it. And then I come up with a short story about the animal I've drawn.

It's creativity. And of course, programming is a separate topic. Practicing Visual Basic. I really like this language. Moreover, I decided to maintain the Little List as a simple application. That is, add simple things to it. Each time I make some improvement to the program. It's more interesting. It's more fun.

This is already the second issue. The first version was version 0.1. The starting version. And this one is version 0.2. It's a bit more advanced than the first version.

This list is very convenient for viewing existing cards. You can also launch the cards directly from the program. There are already about 15 cards. It's convenient to view them as a list by name. The more cards are created and organized into a program, the more useful this app will be.

A new folder, "Cards," has been added to the theme structure. This separates the cards from everything else. So, as development continues, this list will prove very useful. For the future.

By that time, the program itself will have grown in version. New functionality will be added. It will become more useful. Some planning has already been done for the Good Animals Cards project. For future reference!

A magpie on a branch

Winter is all around. And everything has turned so blue. It's been like this for a long time. A magpie in a snowy forest. And instead of a forest, there are only branches. There are no leaves. The Hare and the Fir Trees

Winter is all around. And the hare lives here. In a dense forest among the fir trees. He has a little house. It's just the right place to hide from the snow and the cold. The Owl Woke Up

And about thirty snowmen, which he's made. They're his landmarks.

Sometimes penguins come here and help him navigate. They often come from one side, where the shore is low. And it's easy for them to jump right out of the water. The bear even wrote the word "hello" in the snow on the surface. In big letters.

Kind Animals Cards – Spring and Summer for Animals

From all sides. From the right and from the left. Hello! Hello! And some smiles. These are kind animals. Here with you and me again for a second. Waving. Sitting on the grass. Shadows of the Labyrinth

Today's pixel art is based on the video game Champions of Krynn for PC (MS DOS). A golden age role-playing game. Somewhere around the 80s and early 90s. The golden age of this type of dungeon-and-dragons role-playing game. Tombs, monsters, labyrinths. Magic and battles. All this awaits you in Champions of Krynn! In the 80s style.

And this is my drawing based on Champions of Krynn (MS DOS). The enormous gates slowly open. The hall is dark. A torch sways in the wind. Dust surrounds. And cobwebs. Sand falls. The slow sound of footsteps is heard. It must be the legendary Warklyn. You've entered the wrong passage. Wandering through these tangled labyrinths. This enchanted labyrinth is difficult to navigate. And you've awakened a warrior from a bygone era, sleeping in a magical slumber. An era of legends.

Who would have known it was all true? These legends. How did you manage to miss the right turn in this labyrinth? Could the map be wrong? The gnome from the green hills claimed it was the most accurate map. Without a map, you can't navigate this labyrinth. It magically changes. And the map changes with it.

Dark Elf - Archer and Wizard

Pixel art for today based on the video game Bard's Tale for PC (MS DOS). It's a role-playing game released in the mid-80s. There's a version with 4-color СGA graphics. It's an adventure no worse than Dungeons & Dragons. Or maybe it's even the best. I haven't played it. I don't know for sure. But there's definitely adventure, leveling up, and exciting gameplay for the time. It's probably something like the Krinn Saga.

And this is my drawing based on Bard's Tale (MS DOS). The town is quiet and peaceful. Pedestrians stroll the stone streets. And they have no idea that among them walks the legendary dark elf. An archer and a wizard. Ra-mazh. And even fewer know about the catacombs that lie literally in the neighboring forest. From the old lich king. Who lived here hundreds of years ago. A passage to the depths was found in the ruins of an old tower.

This discovery so stunned the dark elf that he literally forgot to finish his magic elixir at the tavern. He rushed to check it out himself. And it turned out to be true. Most likely, the necromancer lich himself still rests somewhere in these underground labyrinths. This should be investigated first.

But before that, he needs to think things through. And buy healing potions from the healer. Get a new weapon from the blacksmith. A dagger. Then have the sorcerer cast spells on it. You're unlikely to find anything better in these parts than the Dark Bow of skies. Plus, +1 to attack. And the spells are also quite good for fighting the undead. The dark elf specializes in exterminating the undead.

He wears a robe so no one will recognize him. And you are that dark elf. And this is his adventure. In 4-color СGA graphics. Like MS DoS! It's just a picture! And the text is like a fantasy story.

Kind Animals Cards – Hello! Hello!

Hello! Hello! You can hear it from all sides! It's the kind animals again. Your best friends! Little friends. From a magical world, a parallel universe. Lots and lots of happy little animals in the meadow. Looking at you. With their little eyes. Everything is wonderful there! It's always summer! They have their own universe there. Where everything is always wonderful!

And this is my Visual Basic project. A wonderful software product from Microsoft. Programming for everyone. For office workers. And more to come, as they say. I really appreciate this VBA idea. I'm back to the kind animals.

These are cards. That is, a set of cards. Each card is a small program. In VBA. There's a picture and a story about the animal. A few settings. That's all. Picture + story. That's how you can describe it.

This time, a new version is in development. And now I'm creating new cards. Each card is a standard Visual Basic program. Standard, yes. Everything is the same technically, yes. It's just that I've forgotten everything since the last version. And now I need to remember how it's done. So now I'll create new cards again.

New pictures and new stories—that's what awaits the user. Beautiful pictures. Kind stories. And while I'm on the technical side, I'm remembering how it's done. I even wrote myself instructions. And I systematized my approach to the cards.

Basically, the cards are like Pokémon. Or a collectible card game. Or rather, I made everything my own. They're not Pokémon. They're my kind little animals. My friends. And there's no game there. Just a picture and a story. Stories about kind little animals. That's very important to me.

I draw and write stories about kind little animals. My creativity is so artistic. And now I've got the technology. Programming all this into programs.

For example. The honorable first card. Here's one like this. It's a beaver. It can swim. It's a slightly dark picture. The beaver is so fluffy. It's swimming somewhere. It's swimming in the river. In the reeds. It's doing its own thing there.

Animals—as you can imagine—are amazing creatures. And they're very different. Here's a beaver—it's swimming. In a river. In a stream. In a lake. In a marshy area.

Then the next card. A new one. It's about a goose. It's opposite. A very bright picture. And also a story. A white goose. Green grass. Ha ha ha! The goose is walking on the grass! A field! Sunshine! How wonderful it is here!

Now you understand what a wonderful world these kind and cheerful animals live in! There are so many animals! The new version will consist of cards like these. I'm currently creating these cards. I even have a template for the VBA. Rectangular frames. A window. Both text and an image. That's the idea behind this project.

New animals. There are more and more of them. New images, so you know what the animal looks like. And a new story. So there's something interesting to read! I really like the idea of Visual Basic. With windowed applications. Like a department office. Or just small programs. Cards—that's exactly what this project is all about. A project on VBA.

Right now, I'm creating these cards! I'm documenting everything in a Word document. So it'll be easier to create new ones later. After a break. And I continue creating them. I have lots of drawings. And they already have text. I've already published all this as a drawing and story on my blog. Now it's time to apply it to the program. Good little animals—new cards! I'm making them now!

And now, it is in development a new version. And what you see here, already, will be in a new version.

The one-eyed worm is already here

Space photos – I wish I could be there!

Space theme. Another screensaver. Simple. In Basic. Just a sequential display of photos from space. To music. Beautiful and mysterious. A series of photos from space, one after another. About ten seconds, exactly. So you can take everything in. And even get a little bored. And to music. Whisper of the stars. Free music theme.

I took the space photos under a CC0 license from stock sites. Author Pixabay. His space is beautiful. Fabulously beautiful. Fantastic and dreamy! What a kind person shared photos of the celestial expanse. The depths of space. And what's out there in the distance? Such things there. Here he has the Andromeda galaxy, Comet Lovejoy, the constellation Horsehead. And all the rest.

And thanks to AI for the music. The website stocktune.com has the theme song "Stars Whisper Quietly Now." Yes, computers can already compose decent music. Some pretty decent musical themes. This time, for a change, I didn't use retrowave. A completely different sound. It turned out interesting, too!

Now it's up to me. Programming it. It's not difficult. I did it in one day. I used an existing intro as a basis. I just practiced. I wrote a different display algorithm. That's all. More for practice. And to keep things moving. Continuing with the Visual I theme. You have to keep doing something! It's a simple and straightforward theme. For practice and continuation.

So this theme is just for continuation. Visual themes. And a little programming practice. I'm currently focusing on studying computer technology. And music. And to keep things moving, I created this intro. Honestly.

And now to the intro. It turned out quite well. You could even say it's pretty. You can dream about space, about the stars. Space is science fiction. Every engineer, as they say, dreams of going there. One day. And even if only in their dreams.

Here are the first two photos – this is the Andromeda galaxy. Meet it. Something so foggy. And distant. Lots of dots. A bit gloomy. A bit. Although mysterious and interesting. A whole ocean. Just like the computer game Ocean of Stars.

The third photo is the Andromeda galaxy. Today's wallpaper star. A side view. Already prettier. Brighter. So New Year's-like! I don't know how they celebrate New Year's in space, by the way. Just like the Milky Way. Something like that, to an amateur eye, it looks like. You could get confused and end up in the wrong place. And there they have a different year, a different New Year, and everything else entirely.

Then a photo. A comet in space. A dramatic shot. Something flying. Zipping by. And leaving such a big trail behind it. And a reddish glow in the corner of the frame. Beautiful. Makes you stare at it. Even, really, New Year's-like. A Christmas snowflake. In space. And a joyful one. Snowball. Catch it! A snowball is flying. And you catch it!

Then we have Comet Lovejoy. Another comet. I don't know where it's flying, but it's also spectacular. There's already a blue trail around the planet. Another beautiful cosmic shot. Space. You can also imagine the planet slowly rotating. Like gears in a clockwork mechanism. I remember there was a similar intro with rotation in the game Final Fantasy 7. Stripes at the bottom. And a straight vertical white light. A line.

The Horsehead constellation. Next stop. Of our space bus. That's how I imagine space. Colorful. And varied. Different shades. Different colors. One galaxy has one color scheme, another has some new one. Here, it's like dark tones. Purple, blue. Dark. A beautiful sight.

And last for today. This is a pulsar. It's basically a space image. Beautiful and bright. And there's a strong, shining pulsar somewhere. I've heard they're space beacons. For navigation. It's a very colorful image, I suppose. Everything is so colorful. Space is so beautiful! It's simply breathtaking! I wish I could go there!

Light from the Deep

Today's pixel art is based on the video game X-Com Terror from the Deep for PC MS-DOS. A tactical game. About aliens. This time from the depths of the ocean. And everything changes completely. Diving suits. The underwater seabed. A new visual style. And everything is so unusual! What's it like for the fish down there!

And this is my drawing based on X-Com Terror From the Deep (MS-DOS). The underwater world is full of unusual things. Other species live there. It's another planet. Only seemingly similar to Earth. Someone is building sarcophagi underwater. And putting so-called sleepers in there. They look like octopuses or squids.

They put them to sleep, so they sleep. But why? Now it's clear! These are beings of immense intellectual power. Telepaths. And travelers between the stars. And they've already decided you're a danger to them. Your underwater expedition to this planet is in jeopardy. Contact with base has been lost. The sarcophagus is open. The sleeper has awakened.

Meanwhile, the bottom hasn't yet been explored. Something very white is glowing there. The white light is coming from the bottom. As if there's a second sun there. And that, too, is unclear. Bleeding – Green Rocks on Mars

Today's pixel art is based on the Ultimate Doom video game for the IBM PC MS DOS system. The famous 3D shooter. About hell and monsters in hell. Like a dark action movie. 3D synthesis on a 486Dx2 machine. Sometimes it's dynamic, sometimes it's scary. There are abandoned bases and hellish landscapes. Lots of graphics.

And this is my drawing based on Ultimate Doom (MS DOS). Mars turned out to be dangerous. And there were many monsters there. Ghosts. Demons. All emerged from sealed portals. The Martian explorers didn't even know what this planet held in its sands. The portals opened like old wounds. And the bleeding began. Monsters. Monsters everywhere!

These rocks shouldn't have been touched. Especially not exposed to radiation. But it's too late now. You go there, to the plains. To repel the monsters. Reflect the fires of hell. As much as you can. Flying away from here is unrealistic.

The plot is kind of low-budget. Category B from a VHS tape. And I've already tried to learn the engine this year. And I haven't managed it yet. I took the lessons. But I didn't have the energy for practical work on the engine. And I realized something else, for a simple 3D shooter. Even for a simple one. You have to draw a lot! I don't have that kind of energy yet! So I continue my training!

And one day that day will come. VHS, category B. Action thriller. Mysticism. Magic. Both the engine and my drawings. They will do the job!

Freeforms in 3D Space

A 3D scene for today, inspired by abstraction. Something incomprehensible. Strange. And made of squares. Sort of like vaporwave. But it was just a 3D image back then. I liked images like that. As I called them at the dawn of 3D graphics. Back then, around the first Pentium.

Just strange, simple geometric shapes. And light. I've finally made progress in mastering 3D graphics. But only a little bit. It's become easier. At first, 3D graphics seemed very cumbersome. It still does. But I've started exploring different approaches.

I just remembered these strange vaporwave shapes. There are statues from ancient Greece and columns on a pink background. I really like that. And so far, I've done this. Some kind of freeforms in 3D space. I don't know what it is.

Пиксель арт на сегодня по мотивам видеоигры Темное Солнце для компьютерной системы Пк Мс Дос. Это таинственное приключение в древнем мире. Ролевая игра. Я не играл. И мнее сложно сказать про что там. Но выглядит как древний мир и фэнтези или мутанты что-то.

А это мой рисунок по мотивам Темное Солнце (Мс Дос). Это как мой любимый жанр экшен Рпг. Действие. Ролевая игра. Бегаешь по постные или пустошам. И мочишь много монстров. Разные фэнтези существ. Или мутантов.

Солнце выжигает в пустыне таинственные круги. Солнце так сильно жарит что почти что огонь. Это мир песков. И забытых земель. Пальмы растут время от времени. И бывают оазисы. Красивое зрелище. И самого разного цвета пески.

Тут невероятно жарко. И день очень долгий. Воды мало. И ты в магических одеждах. Или в техно костюме. С улучшениями. Тут все исследуешь. Зависит от сеттинга игры. Установок игрового мира. Просто тупо бегалка по пескам. Как вторая диабло. Только картинка! Техника или фэнтези.

Fortress in the Swamp

Today's pixel art is based on the PC video game Pools of Darkness (MS Dos). It's a role-playing game about adventure, knights, catacombs, magic, and wizards. Necromancers and elves dwell here. Fish and Millions of Years in the Ocean

Today's 3D scene is based on fish. Strange fish. Look how yummy they are. These little squares. They're delicious! The fish loves to eat them! And there's algae growing here. It's really good for the brain! The fish is smart! Swimming in the water! And having fun!

This is like a side view. It's like an arcade game. Like Rayman. A good game. Could have been an idea.

Visual I version 0.3 “Third” – space, smiles and control

And, this is a release of third version for pack Visual I. This is a pack with programs. Written with programming language Qb64. And, there, it is something pre programmed intro. And, you are, something like, moving by the road. With the retrowave music. Retro sci fi, future. Virtuality. I, for myself, spent a lot of time with a computer. And theme virtuality – it has a big value for me.

And two control animations. About how they work – I have, already, write. With the example, one of them. Smiles are flying. Smiles, such a funny faces as they are taken from internet. For a mood. With music they fly. This is first control animation. That’s why, I pay more attention to this one. So, here, with random way - up, down, left, right. Smiles are moving. Yellow circles.

And you can control with arrows. Amount of smiles at the screen is from 1 to 16. And with color from pallet with 15 colors. Except yellow. Simply, because of smiles are yellow by themselves. To not mix up smiles and background.

And one more – Deep Jump. This is science fiction. So, there, it is like television camera. Such a retro from 90s. And sci fi gates are shown. As Star Gate. Retro science fiction. As a TV series from 90s. My work in blender is here. 20 images. You with arrows are changing them. As a frames, one after another. And change duration of frame.

So, this way, a release, for this time.

An intern archaeologist – at the center of a magic circle

Pixel art for today based on the video game Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis for the computer system MS-DOS. The most famous archaeologist in the world. Indy. Perhaps only Lara Croft tomb raider could be more popular. This time, he went in search of the lost city. Atlantis. Amazing. It's almost impossible. But he succeeded! And this is his adventure!

And this is my drawing based on Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (MS-DOS). Archaeologist. Nameless. Accidentally fell into some ruins. Intern. Actually, this is an intern, not even an archaeologist yet. And now he doesn't understand how he ended up here. And something mystical is already happening around him. Some lights are burning. These are symbols. From a legend.

Which the intern didn't even read. He just skimmed every word. And he doesn't know exactly what this omen means. And he's at the center of a magic ritual circle. He's now at the center of a spell. What to do? Run or stand still? What if no one notices? The choice is yours!

Underwater Toads – Aliens have taken over the ocean

Today's pixel art is based on the video game X-Com Enemy Unknown for IBM PC MS DoS. It's a well-known game about aliens. It has a mysterious, even sometimes frightening atmosphere. And indeed. When you first land there, you never know where the enemy is. And this is a tactical role-playing game. And you have to be careful with every move. There are aliens everywhere. But they're all hidden. Be careful! They can seize the initiative and make their move from the shadows!

And this is my drawing based on X-Com Enemy Unknown (MS DoS). You're on a team of underwater toads. You have gray diving suits. And you're exploring the seabed. The Kthudhians are here. Underwater swimming monsters like octopuses and squids. But they're actually aliens. They've been living underwater for a long time. It's just that no one knew about it yet. Your squad is an underwater expedition. They've been exposed.

You've just been attacked by their tentacles and underwater ray beams. Yes, they have some kind of underwater lasers. Your huge submarine has crashed. And the entire crew is urgently landing right on the bottom. The underwater toads are beginning their first mission!

Endless good little world for a snail

Three dimensional scene for today based on snail. Such a creature that can crawl. With its own magical world. You can crawl whatever you want. Day only begins! You have just awaken and start to crawl! To someplace, that your eyes can see! And sky – so blue. And full of magic.

There is water in them. Maybe it will be little of raining. For a plants it is very useful. You can crawl to the shallow river. Or along those endless hills, crawl and crawl. These are endless spaces. For a creature type snail.

Grass is so colorful and enjoy the eyes. And all around is so funny. Funny good and kind little animal. Which can crawl. Type slug, or snail. Or like a worm. And whole world for this creature. To crawl. To eat delicious grass. And to enjoy the little sun!
