The art direction and presentation are seriously impressive — you can feel the personality of the team in every screenshot and description.

I really love how the theme of “Strange Places” is reflected through each apartment feeling like its own unsettling micro-world.

From reading feedback, it seems some players felt the outcomes were a bit unpredictable at times — but I actually think that tension fits the concept really well. With a bit more readable hints, this could be incredibly strong.

Huge respect to the team, especially considering this was made in such a short time.

Thank you ! :D

COOL ARTSTYLE and I got backstabbed XD

Submitted(+1)

I like the artstyle! The game is also very unique, tho I would have preferred if some of the deliveries were easier to figure out. Maybe more clues in the text and visuals would have helped, great game nonetheless!

Amazing presentation, artstyle & atmosphere! One of the most well put jam pages I've seen.
The game though felt a bit lacking for me (maybe because the art set the bar too high? idk) as it felt more of a deduction game than one with random chances and the key to winning was memorizing the outcomes till you get a clean playthrough

also "Most likely a Reyna player" seems like I got called out xD

Developer

Sorry for that call out :P

We plan to rework some of the dialogue to make them feel a little less random and give more hint

Nice arstyle; reminds me of alley cat

amazing work! i am truly speechless, so many stories in such a short time accompanied by a beautiful art style

Visuals and sounds are on point! Well done!

Gameplay wise it felt a bit too random because it is very unpredictable what the outcome will be. Going help a disabled person but turns out he has a gun. How was I supposed to anticipate that haha,

That being said I absolutely love this submission! definitely one of the better ones I tried so far.  If you guys would expand some more on interesting gameplay mechanics than I absolutely could see this being a big hit.

Great job!!

Love the immersive visuals, audio, and gameplay. Learning about the different tenants was a blast!

What a game! Love it so much.

This game is visually stunning!  Even for a finished game, but it is astounding for a jam game made in 1 Week!!

Honestly I tought about lowering my other 5 star reviews for visual because it feels unfair to put them on the same level :D but just lets say I give it 6/5 stars for visuals :)

The polish is on another level great and I love the idea of never know what I expect.

The clients feel a little bit random, I get the idea to subvert expectations some more clues.  But maybe I just miss something, for example the gamer guy, how can I know that he kills me if I come up?

But is still fun to try and get all 8 pizzas delivert :) If you put a little bit more puzzeling in instead of guessing then this could just put on steam I think.

Awesome job!

Oh, god damn ! Thank's a lot for that constructive comment !

We're 3 (A prog/designer, a musician, and an artist), it's the artist behind this who answer right now ahah What you said about the art  is going straight to my heart, for real ahah Thank's a lot !

Regarding the randomness, thank's for the example (cause it's not easy sometimes as a creator, when you know the game, to exactly understand the incomprehension sometimes), i'll redo some run  and indeed, the gamer scene feel a bit unfair, i honestly though that we have put a more harsh text for him, like you feel his anger, and it will be the clue to be carefull, but no, it feel normal, so i completely get the unfairness ! ahah

It'll definitely help for the post-itch.io update we will do (will fix/polished some stuff like that).

It's fun that you're talking about steam, because we're thinking (not necessarly for this game) to make a bigger experience to sell on steam !
Thank's a lot again, that's super encouraging to us !

If I can give you my 2 cents from game design side: You have 2 options here:

A) Give the player more clues: The player could ring on other doors to get information from neighbor about the client, ask people how he met infront of the building or listen to the police / news radio to get information about strange persons with a certein description ( in this case "We have again received a report about a man with headphones who attacked a cashier."). The information also must not relate to the current client, but to a following one that comes later.

B) lower the punishment: Currently you die if you choose wrong, you could also implement a health system (e.g. 3 times wrong descision and you are dead) or give the player disadvantage on the next client (e.g. you dont get stabbed but punshed and lose the option to go up to the client).

As someone how already released a game on steam (due it was kind of a flop it only selled ~500 copies, but I learned a lot) feel free to ask anything :) Steam games need 2 things,1) a good game and 2) good marketing. Your visuals are definetly a Eye catcher what is really good for marketing.

This is the first game where I rated so high! Everything was top notch, from the gameplay idea to its execution! Great work to the entire team that worked on it!

Developer

Wow, that's an hell of a comment, thank's a lot for that ! really, that mean a lot to us !

I really enjoyed how captivating this is! I was perplexed on what to do with some of the customers, I died quite a bit but I kept coming back for more!

The art and ambience of the game are wonderful, great work!

I had so much fun with this one, amazing game!! The visuals are great and I loved the sound design, the way the apartment dwellers sound when they talk is so satisfying.

Submitted(+1)

The art in this game is so cool! I just wish the gameplay was a little more developed, it felt kind of like whatever I did would get me killed. I would love to see this fixed in a full version if you guys plan on that. Well done overall on making a cool game!

Developer

Thank's a lot ! :)

Sorry to hear that ! There's actually no random, majority of good decisions could be guess with text clues, visuals behavior, or both, few characters are a bit more ambivalent. Did you have any examples or situation where you felt it was unfair ? Would be curious to know what make you felt that

Submitted

I think I was trying to say that a lot of the people just couldn't be delivered to, like the cannibal or the gamer. Maybe it needed some normal customers to make the crazy ones seem even crazier.

This is still pretty minor though, other than this your game is really cool!

Submitted(+1)

How did you make this in a week! The audio and visuals are amazing. But sometimes it felt random which option I should choose when I deliver the pizza

Developer(+1)

Ahahahaha, clever re-usability in code and art between the scene ! :)

Yeah, that's part of the game, to guess what's the best regarding texts & visuals, between interpretation and real danger. Some are obvious, fews are a bit more hard to guess. There's a kind of die and retry puzzle game in a way héhé

The visuals of this game are incredible, unfortunately I got stabbed in the back after I didn't deliver a pizza, I guess that Jean-Jacques took it personal lol

Submitted(+1)

Great game, visuals and audio are incredible and gameplay is also fun. Very well done!

Submitted(+1)

Wow this is beautiful! Very spooky, and I adore the neon aesthetic, fantastic work!

Submitted(+1)

I loved the aesthetic of your game, one of my favorite in this jam! Took me a while to understand I had to ring again when no one answered, but that made it even more fun :D My score was 2005$!

Submitted(+2)

Had a score: 3250$ I don know if thats good though? Great aesthetics and feel, got repeatedly murdered delivering pizzas though. Should've known not trust raging gamers.
Great style and game!

Developer

Score can go up to 7000$. But tbh the money gain is not a fine tweak x)
