How does the game fit the theme?
i mean the theme is strange places and the whole game is literally the weirdest place most people visit every single night but never pay attention to. the stuff you see when you close your eyes for long enough yk? it happens to everyone, but turning it into a game environment with its own emotions feels strange and brain scratching in the best way.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
none. everything was made procedurally in lua by me :), every procedural shape every shitty little particle, sfx, palette shifts, even the garbage typing sound for text. no ripped sprites or snippets

How many people worked on the game?

The sound feels a bit too loud overall, and at first it’s not immediately clear what the player is supposed to do

The colours are very well chosen! The audio is a bit odd at times, though

It took me a while to figure out what I was supposed to be doing, but after that, I enjoyed the game! It's fun, not something you see everyday!

Super interesting narrative and gameplay. In some levels, the visuals kinda blended in with the background, which got me looking all over the place, but overall it is a very nice game.

The visuals are nice and beautiful. the raw sounds are a bit irritating to the ears but understanable for procedural music. The text dialogues are quite a bit hard to read through, I wish it had more contrast to the background. I also initially doesnt know what to do with the game too since WSAD doesnt work. But the vibes are so trippy and it's a great game!

Super interesting and original experience! I love the careful attention to details within the gameplay sections: screen shake, particle effects, intrusive thought labels, etc. I'd like to play longer rounds if you plan to release an extended version :)
Great work!

wooow ! your visuals are stunning !! the gameplay is sometimes quite unfair i think but its a good experience ! congrats !!

Pretty visual, the music is a little irritating, had fun nonetheless!

I liked the visuals a lot, it was very fun to watch them move. I think the rounds could be a little longer though so I could spend more time taking everything in. Great job overall though I really liked playing this!

Very original, and the artwork was trippy!

The gameplay was a bit too fast maybe? I didn't manage to read the texts, which maybe simulate how it works when you sleep. The sounds were... not for me :)

I really looks like a modern day version of Polybius. Nice to experience something wild like this from time to time

i see only circles, and ears rings....

Submitted(+1)

This is such a cool idea for a game. And for one person team, this is incredible!

Submitted(+1)

The art was incredible on this, definitely a highlight. An audio menu would be great!

Really nice visuals, takes me back when winamp was a thing, and also had visuals when you play a track :) I like that the game is quite short, so it's simple to complete. Though I would really like to have a way to configure music / sound volumes, as they could be a bit irritating when transitioning between stages

Circles and strange forms of circles, i like it. Reminds me of some sort of magic circles xD
Some sounds painfull, especially when dont sleep well all week and last day of jam
Mechancis works well, i tried to escape red circles and they all came and came and came at 3:47 am?
Cool fact that you make it on lua, like u write. Respectful

Developer

Thanks!

This might just be an issue on my side, but when it gets to the end of the second set of text, pressing 2 doesn't do anything :(

Developer

why would you press 2??

Submitted

it says “press 2” at the bottom, doesn’t it?

Submitted(+1)

Omg I'm an idiot, I'm supposed to press Z! Okay so now that I've actually played it let me give some feedback. First off- wow! I love how you tied in somewhat of a story - The visuals are so trippy but the more I played through it, the more I started to understand the messaging and ideas. The ending really wraps up neatly and makes everything easy to digest. I would have loved to play longer rounds! - but it is a game jam :)

Thank you! :)
