this feels such like a ufo50 game in the best way possible

Aww, thanks! I love UFO50 so that means a lot...

I need some help for another game of yours, Wonderflower. It straight up doesn't work, I can't make the game... well, play. I start a new game, but after the screen fades out and then fades in... nothing happens. The characters are in their idle animations but the game is dead silent, their text boxes don't pop up, and none of the keys work. Same thing if I then tried to load a game, and the same happened with the downloadable version. What could be causing this?

Also, this game was pretty cool! Very well made, managed to plow through on my first try.

Sorry, you would have to ask squiggy about that. I didn't make wonderflower.

Ahhh, alright, thanks anyways man

add tea

This was awesome! I have no notes. Thanks for sharing!

Wonderful :D

Thank you!

so good !! what a trio

Thank you so much for to playing my game! :D

Dude no problem! I miss the 2021 Scratch friends

Wowow!!!

Kevinzies Elevenzies! :O

ripe mangoez tho :3

Man, I wished I had time to rate this when the jam was live so I could give this max stars. I really loved every bit, especially the concept and artwork

My one concern is that due to the way the game is currently set up, there's basically no point to the health upgrades as other stat and weapon upgrades have way more payoff

Thank you so much! We will hopefully balance it to a good level soon :)

Amazing game

Thank you!

Please run with this idea! The concept is such a cool take on the bullet hell genre, and was fun to play!!!

Art & UI:

- Awesome! The feedback on the bubble-clicks is so juicy, and the messaging for the most part felt clear.

- The sprites and stages look sick! Animations felt amazing and blended together well.

- I was never confused what was bad and what was good.

Buffs:

- I got the damage buff every chance I could, and I felt a bit too strong by the end stage.

- "Max Health" made me think that there are other ways to regain health in the game, and that this increased my max store of health. I was unsure if this was the case or not because it seemed like I was just getting healed.

Audio:

- The soundtracks for this game set the scene brilliantly and the SFX sound great!

Enemies:

- The enemies are inventive and fit the game mechanics well. I especially liked the squid enemy with the shield, and the multi-stage wall of flesh like monster.

Controls

- I'm unsure if this would be a good change, but sometimes I'd try to use the loop to angle shots. Since my player sprite was constantly moving, the angle would change unless I followed it with the mouse. I can see how this would play differently with a controller, and I'm unsure of how this would be a possible change on mouse and keyboard because the player character is never truly centered/tracked. No biggie, may just be a get good moment on my end lol.

SWEET GAME, PLEASE MORE!

Thanks for the detailed feedback! And for the most part, I agree! You only start with 3 HP, and max HP gives you another HP permanently (up to 8). I wish we could have had time to balance the game more, and added a bit more optional challenge, such as skipping powerups, but we, quite literally, ran out of time. We'd like to continue this project, only time will tell :D

Thanks for the reply, and please do! The idea is so sick and crazy cool it was built in 4/5 days!

Ideas are brewing... we need to meet up and see if we all want to or not :p (I do! for now at least xd)

hot damn.

My favorite GMTK Jam game so far! The music is fantastic, the upgrades are fun, and the gameplay is challenging without being too frustrating. My only complaint is that the cursor is a bit small, so it was easy to lose track of where I was aiming. Also, if you ever get the chance to expand on this, having a final boss at the end would be awesome!

Thank you! We are considering making more with this game.

This one's really nice. Evocation of bullet hells without the overwhelming complexity off the bat. I did wish for a little more focus on maneuvering - before Level 6 all I was doing was holding my speed to slow - but everything else was pretty exceptional once it got going.

I love the way you evoked tate mode with the screen orientation, though playing it in browser does carry some risks of going off the side. Are you aware of the arcade game Space Fury? That also allowed you to select power-ups between levels in a kinetic way like you are doing here.

Technical tour de force too! Even the off-screen audio works.

Thank you! I have not heard of space fury, but that sounds neat!
