The bundle graphics are under construction. Thank you for your patience!

The Power of Pride Bundle Team invites all queer creators on itchio to join us in curating a bundle that will go on sale during June 2026, also known as Pride Month!

What is the Power of Pride Bundle? How do I participate?

The Power of Pride Bundle is a mutual aid bundle directly supporting queer creators of all types of media, including both digital and physical games, zines, comics, books/novels, as well as assets and tools intended for the creation of original works! The PoP Bundle sale is intended to run from June 1, 2026 to July 6, 2026.

The submission period is open until March 31, 2026. To apply to the bundle, please do the following:

  1. Fill out this CryptPad Form
  2. Join this jam page and submit your projects

Applying is free, and you may submit up to 2 projects for consideration. Both steps must be met as the CryptPad Form is for verifying developers while the Jam Page is what itch staff will use to import the bundle submissions. The answers on the CryptPad Form must match your submissions to the jam page in order to be considered for the final bundle. For any issues with CryptPad Form: please refer to this FAQ!

Disclaimer: If you receive any form of financial aid from a government entity that may be jeopardized if you earn over a certain amount in a specific time period, it is your responsibility to keep accurate records for verification and recertification pursuant to program requirements, as well as reporting changes to the relevant agencies in the appropriate time period. The Power of Pride Bundle team is not responsible for what each bundle participant does with their share of the bundle proceeds or how it impacts them.

Who can participate in the Bundle?

The Power of Pride Bundle is intended to financially support creators and teams who are queer or majority queer. We view queerness as a rejection of or lived experience that falls outside of a strictly defined cisgender, heteronormative, allonormative, abled, and Caucasian/Euro-centric way of being. If an individual does not fit several of the above categories and is at least 18 years of age, the Bundle Team may largely consider that person to be eligible for participation in the Bundle.

If you are an ally who wishes to support the bundle, you can do the following:

  • Let your queer friends on itchio know that they can apply for free
  • Play, rate, and leave nice comments on submissions to the bundle
  • Purchase the bundle when the sales begin
  • Spread the word and tell other folks to buy a copy of the bundle

What can I submit to the Power of Pride Bundle?

We accept the following types of projects hosted on itchio:

  • Digital Games
  • Physical Games
  • Books/Novels/Zines
  • Comics
  • Bonus Content/DLC (such as artbooks or OSTs) for completed works
  • Original Artbooks
  • Original Music Albums
  • Assets & Tools intended for use in the creation of new works

Additionally, we accept both commercial and PWYW titles starting at $0. We also accept projects that contain Erotic/Adult/NSFW content, and we ask that you include as much information as possible regarding those submissions so that the moderation team can accurately access whether the project is suitable for the bundle. We aim to accommodate as many developers as possible and are open to working with you to include your projects.

Developers who wish to submit pages with pre-orders for work intended to be commercial at the end of development should send an email to powerofpridebundle@proton.me before submitting to clear approval.

What are the submission guidelines for the Power of Pride Bundle?

To submit your work to the Power of Pride Bundle, it must meet the following conditions:

  • The Creator and/or Teams involved in making the content in the submission must be queer or majority queer
  • The Creator and/or members of the Teams must be all 18 years old or older
  • Submissions must have been released or significantly updated in 2023 or later
  • Submissions must be hosted on itchio
  • Submissions must not contain copyrighted assets (stolen sprites, music, fonts, IP, etc.)
  • Submissions must not promote or encourage violence of any nature towards minority or marginalized groups, including minors (depiction of violence towards minorities framed in a negative context is not considered promoting such acts)
  • Submissions must not contain, promote or encourage any use of Web3 technologies, Cryptocurrencies, NFT, or AI Generation. Submissions must also not utilize any of the above technologies
  • Submissions must contain a customized thumbnail/cover image, preferably containing the logo or title of the project
  • Submissions must either contain a minimum of 3 screenshots if possible, a playable web version/demo, or a customized page with descriptions of the project contents
  • Submissions must list content warnings pertinent to the title (see this list for examples of possible content warnings)
  • Erotic/Adult/NSFW works are allowed but must be tagged appropriately and cannot contain explicit imagery in the thumbnail/cover image
  • Accounts must be able to utilize itch.io's "Collected by itch" payout option
  • Only the owner of the itch.io page can submit the project and approve it for bundle participation

For Zines, Tabletop Rulebooks, and other files delivered in .pdf format that are not considered Books/Novels, pages of the work must be customized to a certain degree (something like Arial text on plain white pages is considered not customized).

Projects that are based on IPs that the creators do not explicitly own and are not in the public domain, or under another permissive license that allows them to monetize works based on the IP, cannot be submitted for legal purposes. This includes a large majority of doujin and/or parody works that heavily reference the source material; out of caution, we would like to ask that you submit a different project at this time.

We prefer projects that contain queer characters, themes, and/or narratives, but this is not a strict requirement.

Applicants may submit up to 2 projects. If the moderation team suspects an applicant or group of applicants to be acting in bad faith, we reserve the right to reject the associated applications. The moderation team may reject projects for any purpose as they see fit.

If the moderation team has rejected your application, you may appeal our initial decision within 72 hours of communication.

What criteria will submissions be accepted on?

Our moderation team will judge submissions on these criteria, in this order:

  1. Other acts of community work done (does this applicant host another mutual aid bundle, moderate a positive creator community, write advice articles, etc.?)
  2. Quality of work
  3. Length of work
  4. Financial need of applicant

Submissions are voted upon by the moderation team and must meet a minimum amount of approvals to be accepted. Applicants who opt out of receiving funds are often accepted, so long as no violations in their submissions are found.

Additionally, creators who often collaborate together may be examined closely, and we may prioritize the financial needs of one of those collaborators in order to ensure that funds are distributed as fairly as possible. We acknowledge that itch.io currently does not support true revenue splits within projects and apologize for this inconvenience.

How can I increase the likelihood of my submission being accepted?

Click to expand this list of suggestions:
  • Submit projects that are newer or of significant length
  • Submit your best work
  • Applicants who submit their projects early have a higher chance of being accepted, as we have limited slots for distributing revenue and attempt to review entries as we receive them to reduce the burden on the moderation team
  • Your itch.io page should be customized and look appealing (view Easy Releasy for help on this)
  • User Interface or Page Design should be customized and pleasing to the eyes
  • itch.io profile, Website, or Social Media must explicitly state that the Developer and/or Team identify as queer in some form if using that method of verification (please don't make us hunt for this information, as this slows down the screening process)

Please submit full URLs for questions that require links. We anticipate receiving a large number of submissions, so please do not create extra work for our moderation team. Check out our Press Kit here for graphics and more!

What is the price point of the bundle? How are funds split? How much can I expect to earn if I opt in?

At this time, we are discussing whether we will follow the common pricing structure of similar bundles that utilize a $60 Edition and $10 Pay-What-You-Can Edition, or switch to a single bundle sales page that offers bonus content from the organizer account at a $60 tier. We would like to allow lower income supporters to contribute without jeopardizing their financial situation.

The funds that this bundle earns will be distributed equally between all participants who opt in to receive the money it earns through sales on itch.io. Similar mutual aid bundles have paid out within the range of $200-$600 on average in the past. The Power of Pride Bundle Team makes no guarantee of a minimum payout amount but will do our best to estimate what each participant can expect to receive before taxes, payment processor fees, and itchio revenue shares are calculated.

What happens to information I submit into the CryptPad Form application?

The information you submit to us will be kept confidential and is solely used for context when considering your application. Applicants who wish to opt into receiving funds will be asked a question about their financial need. You may decline to answer this question with the understanding that if your application is rejected, you cannot submit an appeal.

If I submit my project to the bundle, do you own it?

Nope! The Power of Pride Bundle Team will not claim ownership of any projects selected to participate in the Power of Pride Bundle. We may use screenshots and videos of your game to promote the bundle on social media, as well as ask you to provide Streaming/Review Keys to members of the press.
