This is the first ever Piñata game jam, where you get to choose from an assortment of 5 distinct themes to make a game around. Feel free to incorporate one, several or no theme at all, but be warned that one of the rating metrics is the use of theme. 

You'll have two weeks to make a game and submit it. Teamwork is allowed and so is solo development. Only the person that submits the game to the jam will be able to rate and play other games during the ranking phase. 

Any game engine is fine. I'd prefer, but am not banning the use of AI assets, like code, art, music. Make sure to give credit and attribution to all sources of assets. Don't start work on the game before the jam start date and please don't submit games previously made for other jams.

Once the submission window closes, you'll have a week to play and rate other games. Make sure the game is playable, as I won't allow updates during the ranking phase. 

You retain all rights to whatever you upload and submit, it is yours to iterate, polish or adapt after the jam. 

I won't require and strongly discourage people from downloading games submitted to the jam to run as native software. Please, please, please make your game playable in-browser and if you can add mobile controls or controller support. Awesome, as that is both a good practice and one of the metrics by which the games will be reviewed.
