Nice game! Am I doing something wrong when I end up in an empty room?

Developer

Thank you! No that's the end of it!

Sime concept, with a really interesting atmosphere. The gameplay is simple but rather fun! The frantic tapping mixed with the time limit and aggressive fish make it surprisingly tense for an arcade-y game. Great submission!

Wow, the game was extremely creepy and the atmosphere feels good! I love the simple yet eeeky sound effects... Makes my skin crawl... Beautiful details and art! I like that you took time to draw everything (the big fishy  behind or the spooky scary skeleton that died and decomposed underwater for some reason) and made sure that the atmosphere make you feel "helpless" especially the ominous text... I hope the game has more levels or more different ways to navigate around the terrain, or that there is some use with the speaker behind, for example: I wish you could use the speaker to boost yourself forward very quickly (even going through walls) but at the cost of the enemy being able to spot your location closer (aka shorten the time). Or add something similar to a based timer, where the player can indefinitely hide from the boss but the hiding spot is 1 time use... Anyways, I really love horror games, so Im kind of biased here hehe, Good job! Loved the atmosphere

Thank you for the thorough review!! Boosting through the walls with the speaker and the hiding spots are very good ideas! 100%, when I make more levels, they will be things to consider when making them.

Im mainly an artist, so I wanted to do the best I can on that end to make things appealing for the player in some way or form. I'm happy to hear  that part was great for you.

I also tried my best to convey ominous dread (also thank you for the compliment on this, and from a horror fan no less :D). You don't know how much your review means to me! Thank you!

Developer

Thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoy it!

this was INTENSE - especially the monster/eel (?) showing up while your time runs out, great idea !

Developer

Thank you for this I am honored. I loved your game!

This is so intense and tough! I'M ADDICTED!

Hats off to the art design, the fish drawing in the background gave me goosebumps, the camera shake and the changing sound effects really helped convey the emotion. Awesome entry!

Why is this dumb fish walking around with a speaker...

Developer(+1)

Wow thank you! I'm glad you appreciate the artwork, that's the main thing I wanted to work and to bring out tense emotions, with the sound as a support.

The puffer was forced to explore with the speaker unfortunately haha.

I liked the game. It reminded me that one boss from google doodle game named "Magic Cat Academy 2".

Developer

I just looked it up! That boss is actually pretty cool (if you mean the angler). Thank you for the compliments :)

Great lil game here! I would love to play more levels! If you are still planning on working on this game, consider adjusting the map scale to fit the pufferfish better, so the game flow improves and the player doesn't get stuck as much.

Thank you for the review!
That was my biggest hurdle when making this, I had to adjust some levels to make it easier and drop some features because the lil guy would get stuck and I wanted to try and not make controls the difficulty spike. Definitely going to do a bit of updating on this one.

This is actually creepy!

Developer(+1)

I'm glad its come off that way lol. I tried to make it with some tension if possible. Thank you for playing!

The game is great! The most intense 10 seconds in my life. Even though i would add some underwater sounds here, but still, a great short game!

Developer

I really appreciate that! What's funny is I didn't even think to add underwater sounds haha, it could've helped with the atmosphere quite a bit too!
