Great job.  The motion on the objects add a lot to the game feel.  What engine is this?

Developer

Thank you very much for playing. Just gamemaker. I usually use it for quick games like this since they’re mostly just relaxation exercises rather than genuine prototypes.

Nice and simple! I had to check it out because we both happened to come up with Frog miner concepts haha. I actually laughed out loud at the congratulations message. Well done fellow frog miner

Thank you for playing! I found that funny as well, but didn’t have time to leave a comment fellow frog miner. Thanks for the thoughtful comment.

I liked the relaxing music!

Developer

Thank you for playing!

The music was really atmospheric! Managed to clear it in my first playthrough :)

Developer

Awesome job! Thank you for playing.

Very simple, the melancholia of the music and the expression of the tadpole's face kind of works, honestly, of trash floating down and trying to dodge it, trying to survive. Also the tadpole has a hat, that's fun. I don't really love the sprite work for the rock gem, it didn't really come across clearly for me as the collectable (despite it being green and all). Ending was very surreal.

Great job!

Thanks for playing and the thoughtful comment!

Very cool interpretation of the theme and it was a fun experience :D

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! I am quite thankful that the interpretation has seen appreciation.

Too silent for me.

Developer

Thank you for playing! I am guessing you are referring to the game having no player feedback audio? I passed on adding any due to wanting to keep in line with my primary goals for this jam. I had time to either make a short song or make some sound effects so I chose the more interesting one for personal growth/interest. :D

Thanks for the feedback and very much so for playing!

Nice simple game, finished on second try :D

It was fun! Would’ve like the challenge to up as time passes :)

Developer

Thank you very much for playing! I wanted to add a little variety as time went on, but time itself said otherwise.

Cool game, good job!

Thank you for playing!!

Haha, it really startled me; I thought I was about to grow legs and evolve, not... assemble a TV? Scratch is a wonderful engine and this is a wonderful jam submission.

Developer

Thank you very much for playing and the kind words!

Really good for a game made in just 6 hours! I’d just point out two things:

  • At first, I thought the rocks were obstacles to avoid.
  • Maybe you didn’t have time, but I would’ve liked the objects’ speed to increase over time for a bit more challenge.

Good work :)

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! My goal was a "one-and-done" development session.

- I wanted the gem rocks to not be without the rock,  but wish I added simple lighting or something to them.

- Originally, that was the plan. Increase obstacle amounts while adding variations to speed; however, my main goal with the objects was to practice incorporating trig into the physics. It caused some slow down!

Thanks again for the feedback and playing!

Nice job! I enjoyed it. I liked the water effect a lot, and during it I stared to get this really surreal horror vibe, which I have no idea if you were going for lol. It was the somber music combined with the fact that maybe this is the life of a lot of tadpoles? Also like the hat. Thanks for making this!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! I appreciate the feedback; I am sincerely happy to hear that the vibe was felt. Thanks again!

Not bad for a game made in 6 hours! Thank you for sharing your game!

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing!

At first, I thought the gem rocks were also trash, maybe you should make them look shiny. Other than that, it's a cute little game, especially considering you made it in under 6 hours :D

Developer

Thank you for playing! I actually wanted to add some lighting for the tadpole's head lamp and the gems, but decided to stick to the game plan.
