Welcome to the second jam of Season 4!
So many games feature an iconic, memorable melody. These melodies are generally simple, yet incredibly memorable. From Mario's dudut dut dudut dut to Halo's bubububuuuuuum, a great melody ties a game franchise to its core content, carrying the essence of the game within it. The purpose of this jam is to exercise your ability to write a great melody. I will a provide a theme for you to compose to.
This jam will run from Friday, April 10, 5 PM Central, to Sunday, April 26 , 9 pm Central. Voting Will end on Sunday, April 22, at 9 pm Central. See above for the times in your local time zone. Please read Scope and Details carefully!
We'd love to have you in our Discord Community, where you can share your progress and get feedback! :)
Focus on writing an excellent melody. I have excluded normal categories, such as execution. I do not care about your mix - a great melody will come through on MIDI or played by a professional musician on their instrument of choice, or on a child playing it accurately on a recorder.
I will provide an audio track with sound effects and an audio recording describing the scene. It is your job to interpret the theme effectively, as if you are writing the soundtrack for a scene.

Theme: TBA
Write according the provided theme.
Melody Clarity- is the melody clear?
Melody Impact - Is the melody Impactful and Memorable?
Composition - Rate the composition independently of other qualities, such as the mix and production quality. Consider the dynamics, harmony, structure, development, and nuance.
Listenability - This is the "sanity check" of music. Music can be intriguing, unique, or interesting, but you just don't want that sound in your ears anymore for some reason you can't quite place, and you know it isn't just that the genre is outside of your taste.
Correlation to Theme - How well does the composer use musical language to speak to the theme?
If you are submitting close to the deadline, just worry about uploading your music to the project page. You can add in the streaming service later.
