This game is begging for a mobile port
Either way, good stuff here. Great presentation overall which remained instantly readable and unobtrusive even at high speeds. The track also looked great and was a joy to drive through.
I do kinda wish the game had an ending though ( I played for a bit and it didn't seem to have one ). Still, the sense of speed was great and it was fun to make large chains. That said, the game also lagged for me quite a bit. Any chance you could provide a downloadable build after the jam ?
Part of me also wished that you could right click to course correct yourself, but I think the current setup is actually pretty cool since it basically requires you to really master your turns
All in all, I'd say this was a pretty cool and fun entry

Cool idea, definitely harder than it looks! I like the cute pixelated aesthetic. Congrats
Neat lil one button racing game, haven't encountered any of those before. I'm not the best at it, and the controls were a bit unresponsive - it takes you a long time to start turning decently - which did impact my enjoyment, but the visuals are very charming. I liked the bouncy car and the full screen effects. Very whimsical and effective :)
Very difficult, but feels fantastic once you really start to get to grips with the controls and finally manage a lap without collisions :)
Art is wonderful, I love the clean, vibrant colours, the dithering, the speed shader - everything just works so well together! The shape of the track itself is fantastic too, it feels like one giant knot and the ultra-high banking turns look wonderful.
Good execution, I like the feel of the game, although for me it was a little bit tough. After a few loops the music starts to feel a little bit repetitive. Good game!
Really fun game! I love the art style and the animation of the numbers going up. I also enjoy how taking a risk can be rewarded or not, making us win or lose a gigantic number of points. Well done!
The control is a little to hard I think. And when you see 5000x4 points in red, I almost cried. : ) Overall it is a fun game.
Incredible game feel on this hard but fun racer! The fast speed shader is absolutely perfect
The game has a great vibe, but it is way too difficult for me to get into.
love the art style and the game play, was a little hard to figure out the exit projectory but it was a lot of fun being given only one button to do this game.
The art style and music is so good! Love how relaxing it is to just race around the track repeatedly and get better as turns/slides on each attempt. There's also just something really pleasing about the low-poly look and color scheme, as well as the screen edge blur. Very impressive entry.
a great example of how to take a simple concept and elevate it! well done.
cool idea and graphics but bumping into the wall constantly is giving me a headache lol
Really awesome visuals, I love the low-poly 3D look. It’s colourful and inviting. Interesting idea with the one-button racing, too.
The controls didn’t quite work for me, though. You move very fast even without speed increases, and I never found a consistent way to get around corners without kind of fluttering the turn button, which I don’t think is the intended strategy. Bumping is frequent, and because of the way it knocks you back, it really disrupts the flow of gameplay. I know I’m probably just bad at the game, and I like (and make!) hard games, so that’s fine. However, it’d be nice if even when you fail, you at least got to still have a good time. (A bit of a longer track might help with the repetition/frustration too!)
Side note about the controls: there’s a reason most racing games let you turn both directions. If you turn too far left in this game, you have no way of correcting, and at one point I ended up bumping infinitely against a wall until I managed to do a full 360. Being unable to fine-tune my movement probably contributed to my difficulties with the gameplay. For me at least, the controls were maybe a bit too simple. I’m sure there’s a way to design around this while keeping the controls that make your game unique, though.
Overall, this is really impressive and polished work for a game jam! With some tweaking to the controls, you could have a simple and addictive racing game on your hands. (I bet this would do really well on mobile!)
Totally nailed the topic! I really liked how the LMB is all you need :) Adds to the looping feeling.
The game was a bit too hard for me, so I ended up with the goal of getting at least one loop with no bumbs, but miserably failed... But after ~10 attempts I managed to get a loop with more than 0 point at the end :D
