Hong Kong Institute of Information Technology (HKIIT)  offer courses in game design and development both in Board Game and Digital Games. We started hosting Game Jam Junior to local secondary school students since 2012. The game jam for junior will last for about 1 week, providing training courses in game design and development to jammers.  After the successful hosting of GGJ Next 2026 Hong Kong, Global Game Jam partners with Games for Change to serve student jammers with GGJ Next Jam Partner for G4C Student Challenge.  Partnership will expand GGJ Next for middle and high school students as well as launch a new initiative for university students.

The GGJ Next-G4C partnership will include two student jams: 

• the G4C-GGJ Next Student Jam

• the G4C-GGJ University Student Challenge Jam. 

Any people aged between 10-17 in Hong Kong are all welcome to join the G4C-GGJ Next Student Jam, tertiary students aged between 18-25 will join the G4C-GGJ University Student Challenge Jam.  More details will be announced in the Opening session on 7 April, 2025.  Hybrid mode will be offered to jammers. For jammers joining face-to-face mode, our address is located in HKIIT at LWL, next to the MTR station. We will provide free drinks, free wifi and venues to the registered participants. We have local sponsors from the Game industries and our department.
