Thanks for submitting your game to the stream! If you wanted to look at the playthrough again in the future here's the VOD timestamped to your game

Developer

Thanks for playing :)

That was really fun, what a fantastic concept and funny execution of it! Only thing I would try to improve on is the smoothness of the transitions, some more work on those would have made the entire game flow better.

Developer(+1)

Thank you , the transitions were kind of a last minute feature so i didnt have time to polish them but i agree

Visuals

1 ... add mouse hover iteration

2 ... aesthetics fits together

3 ... you forgot to color some panels (it feels that way)

Design

1 ... add fast forward or skip icon (like click S to skip at some corner)

2 ... interesting design choice: At start I though that wont work but it kinda does

3 ... at start is not clear what goal is but after 2mins become clear

4 ... unique concept i like it

Controls

1 ... mouse click -> works well

Sound

1 ... works well

Bugs

1 ... (visual): I am able to see white line at bottom & right side of the screen (its like game is in 1919x1079 resolution but my screen is 1920x1080)

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you for the feedback! , also you can skip text with up arrow :) also the coloring was a stylistic choice otherwise it can look too cluttered

Wow this game is great! The dancing scene in the shooter game totally sent me haha I also really love the art

Developer(+1)

Thank you!

Submitted(+1)

This was a delight! I really like the concept and think there is a lot of laughs and fun to be had here. Truly awesomesauce

Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much!

I like your game. It made me laugh a few times. You put a lot of effort in animations. The game didn't load in browser for me, but the exe file works fine.

Developer(+1)

thank you sorry about the browser loading i hope it was worth it!

Submitted(+1)

Lovely game, it’s a great concept executed well with nice art and audio! I loved the dance scene in the game, amazing work!

Developer

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it :)

Submitted(+1)

The idea of picking dialogue for both scenes at the same time was fun. Art and sound were fun and added to the feel. Good job on the project, i liked it

Developer(+2)

thank you!

Submitted(+1)

The art, animation, music, and sound effects are fantastic!  The scenarios are all cute and funny.  Well done!

Developer

haha thank you!

Submitted(+2)

The idea of picking dialogue that affects two differente scene at the same time is really creative, and it leads to some pretty funny scenarios. The hand-drawn art and animations are great too;  lots of charm in the presentation. I absolutely told the baby their drawing was rubbish lol.

Fun little story game. This one gave me a few laughs

Developer(+1)

thank you so much!

Submitted(+1)

I did have a good laugh with this one. It take some time to load however, but all in all Good job!

Developer

Sorry about the loading theres just a lot of art , thanks!

Submitted(+1)

Very cool animated game with multiple choices to explore. I liked how the two different scenarios across the screens lead to different outcomes and consequences. A solid entry overall!

Developer

Thanks!

(+1)

Very cute idea. I got off to a good start with romancing the cashier, and it just got better from there. Nice entry.

Developer

Thank you so much!

Submitted(+1)

The art is beautiful and the idea is amazing! The execution could use some work, mainly with the writing quality, but overall a great entry!

Developer(+1)

Thank you ! yeah i didnt have time to check over the writing so i just decided it was a feature lol

Submitted (1 edit) (+2)

That was so lovely oh my god! Like no joke one of the best concepts this jam and the execution was so well done! It managed to make me chuckle

I don't know if this could stand as like a full release, maybe if you really leaned heavily into some good twist at the end. But it was literally the PERFECT jam game, short, sweet, pretty and funny. 5/5 in almost everything

Submitted(+1)

You seem to be having some trouble with loading times, how do you handle the animation? are those just separately drawn frames? and what about that terrorist dance animation?

Developer(+2)

Basically at the start when we started animating the artist (marcomly) would draw all the sprites then i would animate it in godot but the animation in godot took absolutely ages like a day or two per scene due to the amount of states i had to make sure were right when the animation started so on the last two scenes we had to do it frame by frame which wasnt ideal but we didnt have much of a choice with the time frame. the terrorist animation was hand drawn the morning of the jam and it took 6 hours to animate from 1 am till 7 am but i insisted that it be in the game. Thanks for you interest!

Submitted(+2)

man that's insane commitment to the project, haha. I wanted to suggest using sprite sheets and animating characters independently from the background, but it seems you already knew that. It makes sense that you'd switch to faster workflow in the jam setting when the speed is key. It's better to have it take a few seconds to load in a browser instead of not finishing the entry!

Developer(+1)

Yeah haha!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the positive feedback it means a lot <3

Developer(+1)

Really glad you enjoyed it! I see what you mean, I don't think the game would work as a full release, if it did it would be a short and nor very expensive game, but we though it would work well as a small jam game (and I'm glad to know that it did!), thanks alot for the review :)

A very cool and charming game! I thing the idea of choosing a dialogue choice for two different scenes was pretty original and engaging. The art style is very cute, it reminds me of a children story book or an animated movie with the silliness and all. My favorite part was when the soldiers randomly started having a disney princess moment while singing and dancing lmao. If i had to say anything, i would have liked more if in the final sequence we got some sort of story explanation for what was actually happening...but i guess the mystery is part of the charm?

Developer

I'm glad you liked it! I agree about the final cutscene, we thought of the idea behind it but we didn't fully have time to make it more understandable (sorry) but it does make it more mysterious :)

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

The end scene was rushed in half an hour lol but tysm for the feedback

Submitted(+2)

This is fantastic! and I absolutely loved it. The story is good, and the art is very fun, and a couple of the twists had me laughing out loud.

Developer(+1)

Haha thanks for playing!

Submitted(+2)

The web build didn't work for me in Chrome, but I downloaded and I'm so glad I did! I was really intrigued by the idea of choosing a single dialogue for two different stories that were happening at the same time and seeing the outcome. The dance sequence caught me off guard and I had a good chuckle. Cool concept, funny storytelling, and I was smiling the whole time. Congrats on the game!

Developer

Thanks! Sorry about the web build but I'm glad you took the time to download it, thanks for the comment:)

Submitted(+2)

I love this so so much, it's such a creative way to interpret the theme that I haven't seen anywhere else, this funny style of writing is great and the art matches perfectly! I love the little music video with the teammates! But I have to say, I have absolutely no idea what my wife is talking about on the first story

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you liked it :)

Developer(+2)

so youre SURE you didn’t beat the kid in the arcade?

Submitted(+2)

Very cool, found the text quite amusing and the twists funny too!

Developer

Haha, I'm glad you found it funny :)
