This games reminds me heavily of trail to oregon for some reason. Loved the cocept, visuals and audio. It was a tad hard to understand how to manouvre and play but once I found out it was quite fun. Well done!

How does the game fit the theme?
You lead a caravan searching for ancient biscuit ware (pottery). Continually you have to push your luck, always deciding wether you want to continue to "risk it for the biscuit".
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Except for the soundeffects, all our assets were made from scratch by our team. No ai was used.

This game looks and sounds AMAZING and totally nailed the retro game vibe. Very impressive!
Very cool game. The art is amazing, one really small thing: I would use a bigger font size for the numbers, so its closer to the pixel size of the other art.
Making a game with this scope is very impressive well done!
Very cool! Loved the artistic theme, sound design, and it reminded me very much of the old Oregon Trail games!
Atmospheric and fascinating.
Remind me of the board games I used to play with my friends.
Really cool interpretation of the theme. This game is so well made and feels very classic. I would easily sync hours into this.
I found the campfire menu a little confusing as it took me a second to figure out how to correctly go back to the shop but once I had figured it out I loved it.
This game is fantastic. Beautiful art design with simple but engaging mechanics. Definitely going to come back to this one and play it more deeply later.
I had a bit of a hard time figuring how to play the game, but i was able to do it and enjoyed it Really cool game, Great work.
Love the music and art! I had a hard time figuring things out at first, but eventually I got it :D I really like the idea. Maybe there could be more visuals in the storytelling parts, but of course, it’s a game jam and time is short. Great job on the jam—very polished game!
Cool Game! Was unsure of what to click sometimes and had a hard time figuring out where the caravan was at first.
Really love the style! I was a bit confused at the digging mechanic, does it end in a failure every time if you dig too much? Also I found the 3 moves a bit limiting, usually I would end up with no interesting places to visit. Overall amazing game, good job!
Thank you for playing!
Whenever you run out of moves you can go to camp and then rest at the campfire! You can then continue your expedition on the next "day" where you get another 3 moves. If you go back to town (shop) the expedition completely resets!
Digging is all about pushing your own luck, the longer you keep digging the more likely you are to find the most valuable treasures. But the chance of digging up cursed items (which drain your stats, can lead to game over if any of them reaches 0) increases as well!
Yeah things could definitely be a bit more clear.
Loosing all your men is probably the most frequent way a game over happens. While digging it's probably the skull that got you. That one is very rare and only starts appearing once you digged down quite far but it kills 20 of your guys. Hope you have a bit more fun the second time around :)
Holy depth, there's a lot here! The art and music was fantastic, the game itself was super fun (admittedly I didn't make it very far but would never get to other entries if I played as much as I'd have wanted to lol). Knowing what to click could've been more clear in some cases; like it took me a few rounds to realize I could turn the biscuits into currency in the shop scene. But otherwise this is a really great entry, good job team!
