updating old games!

if you're following me here, you might have noticed me updating a lot of old games. it's because i'm updating links to my current domain (npckc.net) after finding out my old domain now links to malware...

i let the old domain lapse after keeping it up for two years post-change because i figured nobody would bother doing something with the old domain of a tiny indie dev, but unfortunately i was wrong, & to be safe i'm updating all my games to remove the link so people won't accidentally be led to malware.

for reference, my website is npckc.net, & any other websites that begin with npckc but have a different url after the "." are not mine!

i'll probably be updating my old games until the end of march (& maybe april... i have too many games) so please don't mind the incremental build updates you might see from me in the feed. (if it's actually an exciting update with new stuff like translations & not just links, i'll make a proper post so it'll be obvious!)

Yikes, what a thing to have happen. Thanks for the updates!

Hi! How would I update old games from you (I always have trouble updating on itchio), and what games have been affected?

you can update by downloading the game from the game page.  don't know what games you've downloaded games previously, but you can check the version number on the page of the game you want to update to see if it's higher than the version of the game version you have downloaded. (i believe if you are using the itch.io app, it should make it clear if the version you have downloaded is not the newest version.)

This helps, thank you so much!

Thanks for the heads-up! Cybercrime is worse than ever lately sadly, and pretty much nothing is safe due to bots/AI attacking pretty much everything to spread malware.
