Go-Go BunnyGun
A game by Jason J. Railton
Join the Frith Column forces, choose your favourite BunnyGun pilot and defend the Earth against the countless hordes of the Elil-Hrair!
Go-Go BunnyGun is a bold and colourful new shoot-'em-up for the 48K Sinclair ZX Spectrum from Ionian Games, who previously brought you Buzzsaw+, Roger the Pangolin in 2020 Knurled Tour and The Haunting of Waterbelle End.
This game runs on the original popular 48K model of the ZX Spectrum as launched in April of 1982. It will run on later 128K, +2, +2A and +3 models, but does not contain any additional content for those machines.
Also playable on PC or retro game systems using a suitable emulator, such as ZXSpin, Spectaculator, Retro Virtual Machine or FUSE.
Features three different pilots, each with unique firing and alternate-firing systems.
Six levels of intense action, colourful animated sprites, parallax scrolling and daring boss fights. Bonuses and hidden secrets to uncover. Enemies that vary their attack patterns and adapt to your actions, so never quite the same game twice.
Normal and Hard modes with extra bonuses and separate Hi-Score tables.
And all in a single 48K load!

Very addictive and a great new gem added to my collection. Glad to finally own this game. Thanks for all the hard work Jason!
Awesome shooter that boasts impressive graphics and makes optimal use of the system. The sound, however, could be a bit more varied. Our German-language review can be found at 04:56:03. English subtitles are also available. Subscription to our YouTube and Twitch channel is welcome. 🙂
Hey there, congrats on the new game. I have placed it in January's best homebrew games video here:
Very good shoot'em-up, and fun to play. I added it to the video of other Spectrum games released in January.
Very enjoyable and a great fun. I got hooked the first time I saw it in the demo and kept looking forward to the full release. I haven’t noticed much difference between the 2 modes though (normal-hard), and just as well – I tend not to enjoy games when frustration takes over playability. And this is not the case.
I won’t be paying what probably this title deserves, but I hope my contribution helps, albeit in a small way.
Cracking game. Thank you.
Thank you all for the response and all the videos I've seen going up! But I notice, clearly not everyone has read the instructions! 😄
So a free hint - don't always grab the power-ups straight away! Give them a moment until they change colour to the one you want.
🐰 Fudge to the bunnies! 🐰
Es un hito técnico haber metido este gran desarrollo en 48k.
Realmente me quito el sombrero!
Gracias y felicidades, caballero.
🙏😃🙏
It's time to play Spectrum! WoW!
Congrats!
Un gran juego, sobre todo los gráficos. Ójala se hiciera una versión para AMSTRAD CPC. Buenisimo.
This is truly wonderful. Lovely work.
Amazing, astonishing refreshing space fantasy !!! Sequel coming soon...???!
fabulous - transferable skills for the Next ? 😜
Brilliant stuff! And I might've used a snapshot or three ;)
Grazie e' bellissimo in tutti i sensi, mi ricorda i capolavori dell russa Zosya Ent. !!! A proposito vorrei tantissimo che ritornasse in scena a fare nuovi giochi per Spectrum 128, lei e' cosi' brava e in gamba a programmare, mi sento triste a causa della maledetta e sporca guerra in Ucraina !!!!!! Viva Zosya e Viva Speccy 128 !!
Thank you for this, here is my tribute...
enorabuena por el juego simplemente genial
Fantastic game. Just what I needed to dust off the Speccy and give this a blast.
Highly recommed this game and it will be featured on the Pixel Gaiden podcast in February.
Thanks for a great fun game!
Phenomenal stuff. I love everything about this game. Tremendous.
Brilliant!
Great game
that's amazing
Very nice game!
Great release!
Fantastic! Very nicely done! And I love the Watership Down references.
Haha - thanks! Wasn't sure if anyone would spot the use of the Bunny language, but as long as someone did, it was worth it!
