Great game, it shows the dedication that was put into it. Loved the art style and the soundtrack goes really well with the feeling of the game.

Hi Glass Candle Games,

I’m organizing an itch.io community bundle. All proceeds go 100% directly to itch.io. If you’d like to join, here’s the submission jam: https://itch.io/jam/thank-you-itch.
This is a huge opportunity to support Itch.io for creating such an amazing platform.
If not, that’s completely fine.

i dont get the combat system

10/10 from concept, to sound design, to visual aesthetic, to combat mechanics.

You really cooked with this one.

(+2)

I loved it. Interesting fight mechanics... almost addictive. Moreover, music is mysterious, and keeps me in condition to explore more and more... Very immersive, and it fits both the fight phase and the exploration phase. Good job!

(+1)

This is incredible!

(+2)

Really enjoyed the game!!! The fighting mechanic is very fun and also haven’t seen anything like that before, and the art is beautiful! My suggestion for the full game would be to make a rotating animation or some sort of subtle inclination on where you are turning cause I lost orientation a few times, it can be hard to keep track where you are facing. And also maybe give ability to go back one step with ↓. Can’t wait for the full release!!!

(+2)

I love this game and would absolutely buy the steam version! The only part I wasn't able to get to was the dark area... still trying though!

(+1)

oh my i need this game!!!!

(+2)

I don't like these type of games, but I wanted to congratulate you on the game design and art of this game.

(+3)

The art is amazing! Loving the monster designs as well~

Absolutly love this game, exactly the type of game i crave

(+1)

The music is so unique! Coding, Art AND music, impressive!

Loving the art

Hey, I’m keeping this tab around to play later, but the web game starts immediately and plays loud music every time I open it. Of course (I don’t think it consumes a lot of CPU/GPU considering the style but that could also be an issue on some computers).

Could you disable “Automatically start on page load”?

For now I’ll have to switch this tab to your main itch profile page instead.

(+2)

Done!

Hey, I liked the style of your game. I was hoping if we could make a game together because i have a game story that i think people will love

FUll game walkthrough

I really enjoyed playing it, I already enjoyed the demo and I was happy when I saw the full release come out!

I had a lot of fun playing it, and love completing it to 100%. I only did one run of it, but saw a randomiser is possible, looking forward to it.

Some Feedback:

I would have loved if I pick up a map, which reveals everything, that it marks it at like 50% opacity if I have not visited it yet. When everything was revealed, I wasn't sure if I have visited it yet or not.

The merchant is nice, but it would have been beneficial if they would talk more to help me progress.

More lore in the game would be nice, too, but it's not that big of a deal.

Placing markers on the map would be useful, too.

SPOILER AHEAD

After I defeated the king I got a key. Usually the map indicates where to use that key, but this time it didn't.

I did find the door and it had the new enemy to defeat, it would have been cool if the merchant would have mentioned something along the lines.

And there is a fishing rod, and I found out where I can cast it, but it never catches anything. I have no idea what I am doing wrong. If the merchant would have said something that would help with getting closer to catching something, that would be helpful. As of now I am stuck with the fishing. Edit: I discovered you need to wear a specific armor piece.

I am missing one piece of shield and armor and I don't know where to look. I have my blue sigil fully leveled, it should reveal all secret rooms, but I only see 10 of 15. It feels like I am missing some information. Edit: I discovered you need to be close to it, for it to be revealed.

I think the merchant could help in many of those steps. Of course don't say it outright, but push to the right direction.

There is an armor piece that removes random encounters, I would love to have one, that increases the % of receiving an encounter. I try to grind my level and run up and down, but the encounter rate seems so low.

(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! The higher encounter rate armour piece is a good idea - might look at implementing that in a future update.

Legitimately one of the best games I've played in years; unique combat mechanics somehow feel nostalgic in this wonderful homage to classics like Doom and Bad Toys 3D! It's like music encapsulated in a dungeon crawler, and as such goes to 11!

Loved this games when i was younger. Nice one !

Spolers: How do you get the secret aquatic boss in the caves? I'm just missing him and the head piece that you get from it. I feel like the odhran's cloak might have permanently deleted it.

Try a different cloak. 🙂

i really love the game, would really appreciate some UI Scaling settings as everything is a little to large on a 2k monitor

demo is very polished, tho still can't figure out the secret of trader

i completed it.

I got to saw i love it alot.

The mechanics are easy. the movement is simple.

And there is a map.

What i would chnage would be the map's colouring.

Like all the barrier like grren, purple and yellow are all red on the map, makes it confusing.

Also adding portions TO HEAL with a time bar to prevent spamming would be a better idea

Can this be played on Android?

Love the art style and the soundtrack choice, definitely a works together for the good of the whole! My main issue was that the mechanics were hard to understand. It feels like there are a lot of systems being thrown at the player all at once and it gets overwhelming very quickly

(1 edit) (+1)

I really enjoyed this demo! However, I don't really understand how the blocking/defense mechanism works. That confused me most of the time during playtime.

This game really reminded me of the time when I was playing Grimrock, it really took me back.

At first I was surprised to encounter enemies without seeing them in front of me, but I quickly got used to it. Not so much with the NPCs, I would have preferred to actually see them in front of me, when exploring.

good game tho a bug happend where i cant open doors

(+1)

Thanks. Locked doors or normal doors?

Wow dude, that was so fun! omg i loved it!

Will you ever make the demos available for download?

(+1)

Incredible game. Bravo!

(+2)

Beat the demo, but I sure wish there was more!

(+2)

(+1)

Loved this! Good luck with development!
