Hello, You're putting me in a tough spot, because I really appreciate the effort you put in, but also am not particularly fond of adding distro-specific packaging to the repository. Could the On a sidenote, there was an effort to put python-evdev in debian about two years ago, but it went nowhere: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=709988 I hope to look into it again someday, along with the fedora package: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=879740 Python-evdev has also been available in ubuntu for a while now: http://packages.ubuntu.com/xenial/python-evdev Thanks, |
Of course I can refork the repo and submit a clean commit. Actually, I am reconsidering my Debian official maintainership venture. I may just not have enough time. I have more than enough keeping me busy :) It is up to you. If you would like the debian folder, I will submit a new PR. If not, I will keep it in my packaging repository. |
Of course this is optional, but if you'll accept, it may help those who want to make debian packages out of this repository. I wasn't sure to make the category games or utils. That is up for debate of course. I don't have a mentor for upstream Debian, so I cannot push this further.
If debian packaging is not accepted, that is fine. I figured I'd put up a PR to help if not.
