When storage is not cleared, I can still try to edit the pipeline configuration obtained via the "gear" button, but the web-console will refuse to save some kinds of changes because storage is not cleared. To clear storage, though, I have to cancel my edits, clear storage, and then retype my edits. This is bad user experience. Instead, I should be able to clear storage without canceling the configuration dialog.
