  1. Update composer & travis configurations for PHP 5.6 and newer 

    This makes the minimum version of PHP 5.6, which isn't strictly necessary at
the time of this commit as everything runs on PHP 5.4 through 7.2.

That said, PHP versions less than 5.6 are no longer supported, and this
squelches some deprecation warnings issued when tests are run on newer versions
of PHP.
