There are plenty of places to visit in Asteria, the fantasy world of our cozy visual novel, Tavern Talk. The Continent of Phesoa lies at the very heart of the Central Plane and is both the name of a small continent and a common abbreviation for the Republic of Phesoa – the primary nation that governs the mainland and many of its islands.

We hope this beautiful hand-drawn map of the Continent of Phesoa will leave you with one or two dream travel destinations, maybe to host your next TTRPG.

More about Phesoa

Not even a full century has passed since Phesoa was structured from several kingdoms into a united republic, and the young nation still has a lot of things to figure out. But it's highly recommended for some leisurely travel to beautiful places, real estate investing in its famous cities, and most importantly: going on an adventure.

Phesoa is geographically and culturally divided by the large Dolvemer mountain range that stretches over a significant portion of the continent. Going further, the Republic’s western side is so expansive that it is divided into northern and southern halves.

The Northern Republic is full of lush forests and mangroves. Coastal cities are important trading hubs for the islands in the west, such as Diria and the Highlands. Even further north you’ll find the Fearsome Mountains: a giant and fairly dangerous mountain range, partly due to the semiregular volcanic activity in the area. The hot springs there are spectacular.

The Southern Republic boasts numerous fields and forests, and its many towns and cities are connected by the many roads travelers use daily. You will also find the Republic’s heart and capital, Themis, here. It bears mentioning that the Republic has managed to keep said capital consistently in the same place for the few decades that it’s been in existence. That might not seem like a big achievement to you, but capitals are famously fickle in these lands, so I think they deserve some recognition.

The Wayfarer’s Inn

Some of you might already know the infamous tavern, The Wayfarer’s Inn, from Tavern Talk. It's right at the heart of the Northern Republic of the Continent of Phesoa and stands at a crossroads, atop a hill, overlooking the bustling town of Zenyth.

Because of the vantage point, you can even see the capital Themis in the distance when you look out of the tavern's main window. I’m sure you’re familiar with this tavern. With its warm interior, its magical drinks, and exciting quests. All I will say is that there is no better place to take a break in all of Asteria. Just make sure to bring interesting stories. I heard they make for much better payment than some flimsy gold.
