Project P.I.T.T. - Demo
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
THIS IS A DEMO
As an early demo made by a solo dev, expect some features to lack a bit of polish. I'm actively working on it to make the whole experience more fun, and that's why feedback is really important so I know what I have to focus first.
In this demo there is only 1 on 4 phases available, so expect more products to produce with different quirks, better and new tools, more evolutions in the room, more secrets...
Description :
You're Pitt, a new intern tasked with feeding "the Maw" - a mysterious pit that devours almost anything and turn some into profit.
Start by crafting rubber ducks by hand, then progress towards more products.
Use physics tools like brooms, fans, spring pads and panels to build elaborate feeding contraptions.
Chain combos for maximum efficiency as the Maw grows hungrier... and larger.
Play time :
As it is a demo, around 1 hour
(Full game: 8-10 hours - coming soon)
Controls :
Move : W/A/S/D
Jump : space
Sprint : shift
Crouch : c
Pick-up objects : Left click
Throw objects : Right click
Rotate objects : Middle click
Equip : e
Interact : f

when will the crown ever do anything it feels like a side mission for nothing when i put it in the pit it wont work for diversity combos so what does it do
OMG never mind, just found it in the upgrades, I'm dumb
I played an earlier demo and loved it. I decided I wanted to play again, but this time the panels and fans don't stick. As soon as I let go of them they just fall over, or get blown away. Is this a bug? Is there a fix or something I'm doing wrong? Or can I get an earlier version? :D
At first, I was totally hooked on collecting ducks and upgrading!
But when I realized there was something hidden in the facility and started exploring, that chilling, spine-tingling fear was intense.
It was so much fun, meow! (=^・ω・^=)
This is an amazing demo! I had such a great time playing this; I got so engrossed into the game flow that I played for a lot longer than I had originally planned. I'm extremely excited to see where the full game leads; eager to learn more about the world that has been created here. Great job! :D
Thank you so much, I'm so happy you liked this little demo as much as you did !
I hope the full game will be this pleasing from start to finish !
I just played the update, and it was nice not having ducks getting stuck in panels. Overall it’s a well-done game for just being an early-release demo. I’ll be keeping an eye on this project.
Edit: One issue is that the middle mouse button is very hard to use on a lot of mice that combine the button with the scroll wheel. Perhaps some other key could be used instead of (or as an alternative to) the middle mouse button for rotating objects.
Thank you for your kind words and the feedback !
You should be able to change the middle mouse button to any other input in the control options (unless it is not working, but last time I checked it was working as intended)
Yeah, remapping it to V worked like a charm. I should have checked the configuration options from the start.
No problem ! But I'll think about changing it as a default key maybe, if that's an issue for too many people
rat in a cage
(also the discord link is broken)
nice floating light source ya got there
(Ah yes, just fixed the broken discord link)
I really like this game and its atmosphere! Was planning play for 15 min and spent few hours, just addicted. Is there something upstairs? I destroyed all the cameras, tried my best in platforming, but didn't find anything :)
Thanks, it warms my heart that my silly little demo was so addictive to you !
Yes, there is something at the very top, but nothing game changing, just some lite teasing (more planned in the full game)
Best demo game ive ever played no joke lowkey most demo games have no work done like mine terrible graphics probably but this has it all perfect graphics and it has fun gameplay of throwing a duck in a hole and pressing down air to make a duck and upgrades. Best game.
Thank you, I'm really happy you had suck a great time ! I hope the full game will be the same experience for you !
I NEVER EVER IN MY ENTIRE LIFE manually decided to come here just 2tell you:
The mechanics and speed... oh baby~ thats the only thing keeping me playing. this is SICK.
Oh and also the text is gigantic on bigger displays.
<3
Thank you so much for taking the time to write me this !
Yes maybe I should cap the max size displayed haha
AMAZING GAME!! pretty addictive! Also, i don't know if someone else got this bug but i was playing the game and i saved the game with 407$ only boxes and panels. I stop playing for a while and i get in to play again until i find out i have the hydraulic press out of nowhere. (I NEVER reached to 5000$)
Thank you !
Yes, I have a bug with the saves, I have to fix this
Cool game, even if it is simple, i really like the conept.
I really like the psx stylw! Hope this game comes to steam.
Thanks, yes it'll come to steam, first as a demo and later as a full released game
Amazing game!
Thank you for making and sharing content, I can see you really put some effort to explain the game !
Very good demo with a super immersive retro DA and an addictive concept! You quickly understand the benefit by experimenting for yourself.
Some ideas for the future: the crafting interface is a little confusing (too much text) and the construction tools sometimes lack efficiency compared to manual mode. Adding sound design and random events would also break the routine and make you less tired.
A very promising and original solo project, looking forward to seeing the next updates!
Thank you so much ! I'm really glad you liked it this much !
Yes, I planed to change the progression so you unlock tools and upgrade by playing so you are not overwhelmed by all of it in the upgrade terminal.
Also the game will have some challenges along the way so it's not always the same !
Great then! I can’t wait to see all this later !
i come here everyday to see if there's anything new. Nice to see there's a new updated, waited a lot!
Is there any new gameplay feature / easter egg?
My experience in performance always was great so that part is not relevant for me rn :)
That's some dedication !
(I just opened a Discord server if you haven't joined yet ;) )
No new gameplay feature or easter egg this time, sorry, it was a lot of under the hood work, the wait for the next update should't be as long as this one
Nice game! There's some glitches (stuck ducks, and crafter/press not respawning on reload) but the game is interesting and addictive!
I got the crown!
Thanks ! Yes a lot to fix, I fixed some but I'll keep working to make it better !
First off, I love the game. Great visual and auditory feedback, really nice PSX vibe to it, and it doesn't feel boring! Absolutely addictive, but I've come across some minor bugs that could be fixed
-The lucky-duck collision breaks when carried in boxes, causing them to clip through and fall out
-Looking at one of the rungs of the gear on the manual workbench and interacting causes the animation and interaction to spaz out because the hitbox isn't in between
-Objects that are stuck to other objects shouldn't stay stuck when disconnected, leaving them floating in mid-air
-Equipped objects clip into the floor when looking down
-Ducks at high speeds via fans interact weirdly with slanted plates, either stopping or launching off of them at Mach-9. And also on some accounts, ducks will just fly through plates if their speed is high enough
-The combo text would disappear randomly for some reason
I also have some suggestions for QoL changes and features that could be made to make the game feel better
-The magnet range feels a bit small, feels a bit inconsistent at times
-Adding more precise automation could be nice by adding objects that can toggle other objects when a certain requirement is met. Eg: when this object detects x number of ducks, activate the object connected
-certain objects having heavier weights to them, so boxes can't be tossed by a single duck
-Adding a more reliable form of transportation for ducks would be nice, fans, even if harnessed in the right way, are way too unpredictable and fast
Thank you, really, that's some deep feedback, really valuable !
Most of the physics issues are already fixed (collision ones at least) and I will be working on the rest, the visual ones like the tools clipping is noted but as it is not game breaking it's lower on the priority list, so thank you for letting me know !
As for your Qol suggestions, most of it will be "fixed" in the full game as I designed the first tools to be not the most reliable and easy to use, so the upgraded version are really better and allow more complexe contraptions building, but I get why it doesn't feel complete right now
can you fix the ducks getting in the plates/walls? maybe the physics are broken
Yes, the physic settings will be changed and fix this issue in the next update !
My 1 hour run ended due to a mess of large plates and activated magnets getting stuck in the tube, and due to how high it was I could not unjam it before the height check respawned me. Definitely need to fix that for full release.
It should be fixed in the latest version as I made it so tools are disabled when spawned back (and made the tube a bit bigger too)
Huh, I would have thought the fix would be to make plates not get stuck in place unless released by the player. Good to see the game is improving, will wait for Steam demo and definitely buy the full game.
---Hello there, i just wanted to say that i like the game a lot and am excited to see how it will look in the future. i had a few funny ideas i tried but couldn't get to work but it was still very fun to play.
---also Wanted to mention a funny little glitch i learned. while trying to cheese the system.
---if you bring a duck into the pit and bring it through the check for ducks multiple times after the duck disappears, if you try to spawn multiple ducks it will spit out the 1 duck X times depending on how many times you brought it through the barrier.
-though not major and easily avoidable thought it would be neat to mention.
Hey ! Thank you so much, I'm really happy you liked it !
Oh, that's something to look for, yeah, I see an easy fix to it I'll probably implement soon then (when passing the check make the duck disabled so even if it passes again that won't do anything
Thank you for the comment, that helps a lot !
If you need some help if you want we can maybe work together :)
this game is so good, i really hope that get some updates, the rest of factory feels so empty, but i know its just a beta, i suddenly have a problem with the press, everytime i leave the game it desapears, and i cant buy it again, idk if its just my pc, the auto crafter also desapears, does anyone know how to fix it?
GOTY game btw
Thank you so much ! It brings me real joy to know people are already enjoying this extremely early version !
As for your issues, it will be fixed in the next update, it is a loading issue
Thanks for your feedback !
I'm loving this so far, but the factory(?) room is suddenly really dark. and i can't See. and it's spooky which i think is the point but without some sort of flashlight i can't find my boxes and i don't know how to make the light come back, i think the maw is angry i spent too long building the automation stuff? or it could just be a thing that happens. i have no idea all i know is it's Dark In Here
What worked for me was getting back in the elevator you come out of when you 1st start the game, and then back out
Things can get stuck in the dispenser tube. Rather than solve this, please add a "Succ" function, that pulls objects (and the player) up into the tube for 30 seconds to manually clear the jam (for 100 bucks maybe, so it's easily accessable regardless of progression?)
"SUCC Operation $100
Reverse the flow of the dispenser tube to reverse operator induced jams"
Really fun, and I can't wait to see where it goes!
The grid snapping does need a bit of work, and so do the duck collisions, but that's really all I have to complain about.
Overall, Amazing job!
Ps, I'm pretty sure I found all the secrets.
Sooooo....lots of weird bugs. this is the most prominent though.

uhhh when you buy the mystery boxes, they spawn in the air in the delivery tube but are stuck and don't fall.
then because they are there. they then clog the tube preventing any purchased items from dropping.
flying up after breaking the cameras and unclogging the items works but the crates refuse to move from their static position. defiantly need help on this one. or we just need a dev menu to delete objects. idk.
had the same thing. You Gotta update your video drivers
I've check and I already have the latest one on my Radeon 6800xt
hey, most of my screen is now just a pixelated black cloud that i cant get rid of, what do i do
so idk how it happened but idid find a temp fix of just jumping in the hole, idk why the black thign just happened tho
è bellissimo, lo vorrei scaricare, ogni volta che lo scarico mi dice che nono posso
When I joined game, I had a message from Windows, that the app is not responding. Say what is the problem pls
Hey, remember me sending a comment here that said my game kept crashing after 1 second of it getting launched? Well, unfortunately it didn't get fixed with the 0.2.6 update, and I have no idea what's wrong. I got one more log, please help me out and try to fix this. Oh and also some logs were just empty for an unknown reason.

Hey, yes I remember, of course !
Ok i checked and I fixed the possible issue on one shader, but there is the same issue on another one... I'll fix it in all shaders, hopefully the next update won't crash !
Man, I am not going to lie, I really wonder why it seems like I am the only person that seems to have this issue...
I don't know, maybe the version of the driver, or just some other random thing that can happen, if the next version doesn't fix it I have no clue what could fix it :/
Heyyy, just figured what was the actual problem behind the bug... turns out that for some GOD forsaken reason my 3 year old BIOS just did not want to run your game. This is very unexpected...
Hey, the next version should work with d3d12 instead of vulkan, so maybe this time it will work ? I also fixed some shader issues, the next version should be out before the end of the week !
i think this fan should not be glues to the wall
why when y quit the game and i come in again the automatic duck machine dissapears?
I can't open the game; a loading screen opens and then it closes directly
Hey Froke, I wanted to report some bugs in the game. One bug is that the automatic machine disappears when I exit and re-enter. The other bug is that when I exit and re-enter, the hole no longer gets bigger; that is, when it eats more ducks, it doesn't get bigger.
Hello, thank you for reporting it to me, I already was aware and in fact I already fixed it, I'm testing more in depth to avoid other issues like that before pushing the update !
yay
2 hours and I still can't find the secret😭
Ok I'll tell you more, you're pretty close, you have to go higher, at some point there is a small entrance in the center pillar with the secret.
It's not something big so don't expect a huge secret, sorry
What's the point of breaking the cameras? I really like that feature, but I don't know what it does.
Before destroying the cameras you should try to explore the room, at some point something will make you go back with a small clue ;)
Very fun concept so far. Got as far as possible currently! Perhaps you can add a Duck remover to delete ducks that get stuck when they get launched into panels
I'm happy you liked it !
Yes, a "remove all ducks" button (and probably a "remove all tools" too) will be added, as for the ducks getting stuck when launched, this is an issue with the 0.2.6 version, in the next one this shouldn't happen, or only extremely rarely !
