BOOM: Defense of Abydos is a first-person retro-style shooter developed with Godot, and a fan-made game based on Blue Archive.
Set in the world of Blue Archive and inspired by classic DOOM gameplay, BOOM features a campaign lasting approximately two hours, as well as a replayable survival mode.

相当不错的游戏!我也是DOOM系列的老粉丝了,这个游戏确实把握到了很多DOOM的精髓,比如各种秘密通道,藏在角落后面的弹药补给的“小巧思”。射击手感、音效和移动顺滑程度都很不错,即使按专业的高速射击游戏标准,它们绝对都在及格线之上。
我认为这个游戏目前最大的缺点就是:敌人射出的子弹(大多数)也是即时命中的。
对我来说,比起DOOM,这个游戏似乎更像是《Forgive me, Father》的翻版,无论是从游戏设计(因为你还是要换弹之类的)还是美术风格来说。《Forgive me, Father》中的处理方式是给所有怪物的子弹都加上了弹道,它们很亮,所以你还有机会去躲开它们。
但由于这个游戏中的敌人子弹是即时判定的,我几乎不可能躲开敌人的子弹,我觉得这是很有挫败感的事,因为我很难用操作去避免这些伤害。它也破坏了本来DOOM这种高速射击游戏的“爽感”, 有时候我必须躲在掩体后或者找墙角卡住敌人和它们PEEK,而不能像毁灭战士一样在人群里横冲直撞。也可以模仿DOOM1中的做法(因为DOOM1也是即时判定),他们给怪物攻击间隔加上了一个动画(通常是行走),这样能够提醒玩家此时是安全的。
手枪对比霰弹枪实在是太弱了,超低的伤害准度还特别差,即使它是作为副武器之类的,我几乎没有用过它。但我想既然只有2种武器的情况下,它们之间做得平衡些也不是什么坏处。
我一共遇到2个Bug:
1 “圣水手雷”砸到墙壁上时没有任何效果(我不知道是不是故意这么设计的)
2 “兰舞”扔出的手雷有时候会把玩家砸上天(所幸没有跌落伤害)
总之 4/5 是相当优秀的同人游戏,希望或许可以有一个“无需换弹”的选项,这样就更贴近DOOM了:)
Just finished it, great game! It is very fun!
The visuals are very good, and the gameplay feels smooth and it's actually challenging. The maps are also good and well done.
Playing like Hoshino feels great, especially when you rush enemies with your shield and your shotgun!
The survival mode is also very fun, it is like COD Zombies!
And I LOVED so much the Half Life references!!! It really shows the inspiration.
I will definitely play it again!
And as a fellow Godot dev is very cool to see how you used the engine!
PD. There is a bug when you jump and turn the camera down, it goes past its limit and it turns everything upside down.
I think the fix is to clamp the rotation of the head.
Anyways, loved your game!!!!
I had a lot of fun playing, good stuff! Hoshino's shotgun feels great.
If I may make some suggestions:
- Since the enemies are hitscan, they could use a brief delay before they start firing, since at close range they can often just instantly shoot and deal unavoidable damage.
- Being able to hitstun small enemies with the pistol (like in DOOM) would make it feel a lot better, along with not having random spread. At close range the pistol suffers since it can't stop enemies from attacking (as opposed to the shotgun which can kill in 1 hit), and at long range the pistol still feels unreliable due to the spread.
- An option to let weapons autofire when holding the attack button would be nice quality of life.
Overall I loved it, and I'm eager to see more!

I have been aware of this game since January and have been looking forward to trying it out. However, it's a pity that this game is not compatible with Windows 7. Would it be possible to release a version compatible with Windows 7 in the future? I really want to play it QWQ
