You find yourself in a dimly lit log cabin in the middle of the woods. You are starving to death. The stranger who resides there tells you that he will feed you if you defeat him in a game of cards.
Sacrifices Must Be Made is a game created for Ludum Dare 43. I produced the game code, art, and audio in 48 hours. Here's the Ludum Dare entry page!
The game should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. There is an ending so hang in there!

I've first played this many years ago, finally leaving a review - My favourite horror game. It compresses so much so well into a wonderfully atmospheric, even if short, experience. I recommended it to various friends over the years. I finally bought Inscryption last year and enjoyed it a lot, but I still prefer SMBM over it.
literally cant get past the 2nd round of the game. i dont know what that says about this but i definitely dont think that the 2nd round was easy enough for being the 2nd round of the game. i really tried several different tactics but the reality is i just kept running out of life too early for any of them to pan out. its basically unplayable for me
Finally, Prehistoric Inscrytion.
when lucky,I can win at the last fight with no knife.but the ending is same.

Leshy did nothing wrong
The game is good, but it's way too scripted. I played for about an hour, and winning a match seemed impossible, except for the tutorial. Otherwise, the enemy manages to counter every move you make, leading to a significant waste of time
The game seemed quite easy to me, I beat each match first try and only got close to death once or twice

Bro i had to buy the steam game BUT ITS FREE HERE what a waste of money
this game is the precursor to inscryption,it has the same basic mechanics but is less polished and isnt as full as inscryption.
sacrifices must be made is only a small piece of the greater whole that the full inscryption became from this game.
