When taking care of a grandad brings about a killer in the house.
Your grandfather's old and slow. Are you?

Liked the structured destruction of why almost every horror game's predictable [to a tee] and why.
Possible ideas for a sequel [list made by Boogadoo Games and myself]:
1 - exploding lightbulbs
2 - knocking on doors
3 - extremely loud noises/sounds
4 - burst steam pipes blocking the way
5 - dead end while being chased
6 - extremely fast dying batteries
7 - look behind you [signs/advice]
Regardless, I had tons of fun playing your game. I didn’t run into any bugs, hiccups or other snags, so kudos to all involved in making this awesome game!

The only thing you needed was a bit of gas, but what you got was closer to a living nightmare.
So, what happened?

Another game by the devious DEV Max Horror, in which he launches you into a claustrophobic world where a single TV is your only lifeline to stay sane and alive.
But it becomes obvious, quite quickly, that you share that space with an entity that's inspired by evil deeds, as becomes visible, once the TV starts rotating.
5 star rating, well deserved!
I didn’t run into any bugs, hiccups or other snags. Kudos to all involved and thanks for making this awesome game.

We continue our Max Horror week with another gem out of his repertoire, and dive headfirst into another wicked story, Room 202.
In this game we're a tired traveler that seeks nothing but a good night's rest in room 203. However, the people in room 202 have entire, and way more macabre plans. So, the shuteye time's cut short. Very short.
A well designed game, with a well thought out storyline, nice texturing and a surprising ending.
All in all: Max Horror's signature work!
I didn’t run into any bugs, hiccups or other snags. Kudos to all involved and thanks for making this awesome game.

Max Horror drops you off as a janitor that has to check on Linda, the new secretary, to make sure she's OK.
Well, that's the start of a journey, all the way down to hell.
Can you escape?
Sure, but first you have to get the elevator up and running...

Thanks to Max Horror's generosity we can feast on a hole slew of MH's games. As a token of my appreciation I'm having a special Max Horror week.
As per usual, Max Horror delivers horror in spades in this game. You play as a priest but ending up underground you find out that your beloved deity still resides above it.

Even though I knew the premise of the story itself, the end still landed like a sledgehammer.
No matter how or why, as a player you feel sorry for this kid [the protagonist] one way or the other. Yes, the game's setting is minimalist, but the story itself rich in a very uncanny way.Watch or play the game to find out why!
I didn’t run into any bugs, hiccups or other snags. Kudos to all involved and thanks for making this awesome game.

Although in a cartoon setting, this game is everything but. The player is immediately immersed in what can best be described as a sense of dread.
We have to get out of the building to escape a murderous milkman, but in order to do so, we have to solve several puzzles, but do we get out...?
As the game is not finished [yet], there's no ending, but all the ingredients are in place to turn this into a great horror game!
I didn’t run into any bugs, hiccups or other snags. Kudos to all involved and thanks for making this awesome game.

If you like to sit on the edge of your chair for forever.
If you like to feel your blood pressure rising.
If you like to feel the hair on your neck stretching itself out to the max.
This is the game to either play or watch. Be ready to immerse yourself into the mad world of Martha's little hell on Earth and wanting nothing but to run for your life and get out.
Rating? - WOW!

Although I <3 parties, this game turned me into a party pooper and a snitch...
Having been kind to everybody, ran errands for most of the people, still, I did the wrong thing. Dang it!
This game was also a walk down memory lane, bringing back so many good vibes of yesteryear :o]

Every now and then, you'll find a game or demo on Itch.io that simply stuns you in its masterly glory of total immersion.
"Don't Play This" is one of them. I can't say much without literally giving the game away, but you have my word for this being one of those games that have you trip, fall back-and forward, and still surprises you, even on a warn down trail of a story.
Having played thousands of horror games, this one lets me sit in awe and hat in hand.
Well done, guys.
Very well done!

What a game! The WOW factor stuck to my mind long after I'd finished playing the game.
A player immerse into a world where nothing is what it seems to be, or supposed to be, or has to be.
The eye for detail and puzzles is simply stunning and mind blowing all in one.
When dreams turn into a bloody nightmares, and the final day is both breathtaking as well as taking your breath away, literally.
A well deserved 5 star rating for this game.
If you have time [about 20 to 30 minutes] download and play the game. If not, watch any of the videos on the DEV's page :o]
I didn’t run into any bugs, hiccups or other snags. Kudos to all involved and thanks for making this awesome game.
P.S. I recorded the game 1 day at a time!

Who would've thought that taking care of a gas station meant walking into a world filled with a dread that walks along with you, like an old friend?
The DEV [given that this is his first ever game] surely has the talent to keep you [and thus me as well] glued to the screen, while you solve all the various puzzles this game throws at you.
It is this subtle mix of telling and progressing a story and the build-up of something dreadful out there waiting to lure you in, that becomes the most compelling part of being immersed in this game to begin with.
Want to find out why?
Just download and play the game yourself.
You will not be disappointed. You have my word for it :o]

A very well developed demo/game, with a delicate urge to stay on your toes throughout its entirety.
It's easy to miss something that has changed..., or not...
Loved playing this game.

I liked the soundscape of this game that helped a player like myself to immerse deeper in the game play itself.
A monster saying, "Meow, meow..." is brilliantly hilarious. Having the old lady describe the monster rather than showing a close-up of it, makes it actually way more scary.
I didn’t run into any bugs, hiccups or other snags. Kudos to all involved and thanks for making this awesome game.

There are horror games and then there's Subsurface.
I could spend pages describing the game itself, but that would be nothing but white noise, so I'll settle for a singular expression:
WOW!
So much happens in so little time. Finding keys, solving puzzles in an attempt to move forward, make progress, while all the time more pieces of a haunting past are revealed.
A well-deserved, 5-star rating!
I didn’t run into any bugs, hiccups or other snags. Kudos to all involved and thanks for making this awesome game.

Awesome game, that ran like a well-oiled machine, in which you have to solve puzzles in order to progress toward the end.<3 the story line and the well executed elements you need to get to set the next step.
The only con was the lighting. After recording the game,it was already so dark, that, after youtube's compression, user would have to strain their eyes to see anything, so I added a Lighting plug-in to the footage in Premiere Pro.
Still, you got a 5 star rating out of this one. Well done :o]

Cats, dogs, butterflies, bugs, spiders, snakes..., the choices are endless. But what happens when an uninvited visitor shows up at your doorstep in a box?
One more spider?
Sure!
Uh-oh...
A very nice game. Very nice story, and unfortunate ending.

A very compelling game, where the center is wrapped around [SPOILER ALLERT!!!!] an accident, something we only find out at the end of the game.
In the mean time we have to solve a puzzle, collect flowers and prepare the ritual. Once done, we have to walk through a hallway that's way too dark.
Overall: game story and idea - Big thumbs up.
Darkness: way too much.
Thanks for making the game :o]

I had a smooth gameplay :
Pros: incredibly detailed environment that helps any player immerse into the story. The story itself looks appealing and interesting, triggering a need for more and the graphics are stunning.
Cons: No sensitivity slider. Not being able to run [even I walk faster than the protagonist :o]. No inventory [while collecting notes].
Overall: a very promising game, that has to be played once the full version is out.
So, Dev, well done!

Pros: Straight forward game play. Clear indications where to go. Pure atmosphere game [no cheap jump startles]. Appealing story line.Cons: Had problems putting up the cameras as the dot didn't show up. Darkness. When there's no light pollution, the nightly sky will provide light that makes most things visible even if its in a silhouette shape.
Overall verdict: for a first game you absolutely nailed it. I hope you get some real and good feedback that helps you improve your next game.
I'm following you, so when you upload something new, I'll be notified.
Happy and inspired 2026!

Hey Niven,
Your Itch.io page came with a warning about suspicious behavior. Fortunately, I know you for quite some time now, but it might scare away those people who don't have had the privilege of knowing you :o]
Anyway, thanks for making a new game. Of course I made a video on it, so without further ado @
A big thumbs up [as per usual :o] Well done and I'm looking forward to the next installment. For anyone reading this: Stop! And start playing Niven's game :o]

Be yourself, or be someone else? Given a choice, I'd rather be myself, but in this game you don't have a choice, thus have no option but to go along with what the game wants you to do, and move along in various, rotting body parts.
SD delivers another solid game, as was to be expected given his track record :o]
I didn’t run into any bugs, hiccups or other snags. Kudos to all involved and thanks for making this awesome game.

I was glad to find out that:
1) - sweeping was done in 1 swoop
2) - customers came in fast
3) the game lasted almost 15 minutes [in my case], but felt much faster to play [aka, having fun playing it]
So, overall, a great game :o]
