Magical Blush - Demo

I spent some time with the demo and had a great time with it. I am definitely looking forward to the full release.

I also noticed that the game has a localization file with a few languages included. I am an English to Latin American Spanish translator, and I would genuinely love to help translate the game if you ever consider adding Spanish. 

I just saw this game and immediately fell in love with it. I have been waiting for the longest time for a game like this to implement magic mechanics like you guys have!

I can tell its being made with a lot of love and passion, all the aesthetics, the music, and ideas looks so good and the game its a lot of fun :). I already wishlisted it on steam too, im so excited for new upcoming updates for this game and its release!

Here are some things I found while playing a bit:

• Im playing with mouse+keyboard, and not sure if its intentional, i get you can attack with your currently selected magic with left click or F, but you can also attack with right click, which uses whatever magic is in your first slot (Of your main magic while), this makes it so you can pretty much always spam two magics at the same time!

• You get a new dash recharge about every two seconds, but if you dash twice, and then wait about two seconds, you get both dash recharges back at the same time

• I just wish you could dash between two gaps, i think it would make navigation a lot more fun and smoother :)

• Maybe its because im playing on my laptop, but i cant see the health/mana HUD, so while i played i pretty much prayed i had enough health the whole time hahah

• While navigation menus, i found you could use left click as a substitute for enter, but there were other menus in which this didnt apply. Also when navigation between maps, the Esc option to exit the traveling map just didnt do anything D:

• For me at least it feels weird having the run and dash sharing the same button, perhaps maybe there could be an option to separate both things on different keys/buttons

Maybe some things are as intended, but thats a little recolection of things i saw and that i think might be cool if they got added:) again, i really love the game,  will be looking forward to new updates <3. Cheers!

Hi lovely game that I wishlisted with beautiful art and fun combat but some criticism

The input systems on PC seem quite inconsistent, with LMS being able to substitute for Enter but only sometimes on certain menus? Having to switch from wasd+mouse to enter can be a little irritating
Also on the menu where you switch towns/countries, the Esc button just doesn't work

Also when you get the eyepiece that increases your spell range the visual indicator of the range of your spell doesn't change which makes you essentially have to guess what the new range of the spell is every time you use it...

And this might be just a skill issue but currently I have no idea how to progress in the game because everything, including the main story, seems to be locked behind some gap, either a bottomless hole or a small stretch of water, and I just can't find any way to traverse these gaps... maybe I haven't found the right upgrade but I'm genuinely stuck
Maybe a guide would be helpful

And finally I would prefer if the game had more specific optimisation options apart from just "performance mode"

Again love the game but maybe look into these

Looks really good! Just downloaded the demo and will give it a play soon

Played a little bit and was confused about my HP not being displayed, until I realized it was, but I couldn't see it due to me having a 21:9 screen ratio and the UI not being responsive (game dev here, I know how much of a pain responsiveness is). And with no option to set the game to windowed or manually setting the display size, I have no way of viewing my hud 😅

Just WALK with the mage girl in this game is so juicy <3 The Pixel Art is simply perfect. Congratulations to the DEVs! 

Very fun to play

I don't usually play games. Most games I play, I end up quitting due to me failing all the time or not enjoyable. This game is very enjoyable. It's hard to find enjoyable and fun stuff thanks to my apathy created from my suicial depression. Your game helped me ignore my mental pain.

Just finished the demo and had a good time. I liked the combat, though was a little thrown off by the... Stop and startnesss? (unsure of if I'm describing it well) at first, which took a bit to get used to, but it didn't make it any less fun. plus made sense for a spell caster to need a moment before attacking.

I also really liked the reference in the last area of it  (which I won't say exactly what it is, so as to not spoil anyone that hasn't played yet) and the bit of fanservice in the water area. Wasn't expecting either, but both made the game more interesting. ^-^

just download the demo and wishlisted! Have you thought to post to r/metroidvania, or get noisy pixel to do a review?

This feels really good to play. The movement is smooth, the VFX look great, and everything has a nice punch to it. I especially love the metroidvania exploration, it really makes you want to keep pushing forward and see what’s hidden around the next corner. Great stuff.

I really enjoyed playing the demo! The feeling of combining the elements in practice is a lot of fun. Over time you start mastering it, and the combos begin to feel really natural to perform.

It’s amazing to see that Magical Blush is finally open to play. I’ve been a fan of Alkacer’s work since the very first appearances of Magical Blush!

Just wanted to give a headsup that this download has been flagged by Itch.io. You might wanna look into that. Based on previous cases this kind of flag seems to come from accessing the page from different countries as a creator (f. i. due to a VPN).

I loved the game feel and the spell effects. The environment is very diverse, with lots of secrets. A must-play if you like metroidvanias. Can’t wait for the full game 😆 When will the release date be revealed?

Damn, the spells are so beatfull. The combat feels fluid and the hair animation is way too good. 

And the physics of a secondary character is impressive

Just played the demo, quite impressed with the gamefeel. What I liked the most:

• Spells are fast and feel great to use. Reminded me a bit of Wizard of Legend
• Art in the menus and UI is gorgerous
• Soundtracks are mystical, great composition for the game

What could use some more polish:

• The scenery art
• Boss fight could have more tension
• Some minor language typos

Overall it’s a solid demo and beta, this game can be something special if developed properly

Really impressive game, the combat and the visuals feel on point. The spell elements feature is so fun, and I’m really looking forward to the full release.

What an amazing game! I loved the animations, it's truly beautiful, and there's so much to explore. I've already added it to my Steam wishlist.

Does anyone know if it's currently being crowdfunded?

I love games that explore the concept of elements and how they react to different opponents and the environment itself, and this game does it really well! And I love the mouse support, I'm sure there are people who will prefer it.

Great art, great gameplay, great magic system, game's worth a million bucks. Just needs some mouse and keyboard improvements, and then it'll be perfect!

What an amazing game! The music really reminds me of the magical girl universe, like Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura, among others. The magic-based battles are very fluid, there are many maps to explore, and secret rooms as well.

And the final boss of the demo left me very curious about the story.

This game is awesome! The art, is so charming and the music...god damn! I love the VFX on the spells. Had a lot of fun using the spells and finding secrets. Must play for sure!  

Amazing! Magical Blush’s demo already feels super polished for me, movements, VFX and spell feedback make me feel very satisfied. Movement is smooth and the control feels good too!. I also loved that it supports mouse + keyboard play nicely.
