CMD's Message

CCI is the central agency of the Government of India under Ministry of Textiles for undertaking Minimum Support Price (MSP) Operations of seed cotton (Kapas), whenever the prices of kapas fall below the MSP level. Besides MSP operations, to fulfill the raw material requirement of the domestic textile industry, CCI also undertakes viable commercial operation as and when required.

Over the years, technology up-gradations and innovations have always had a profound effect on society and organizations. The application of innovations in the realm of communication and IT has fundamentally transformed the way organizations function and interface with their stakeholders.

We, at the Cotton Corporation of India, have always realized that the Corporation needs to move with the times. Rapidly changing world is throwing up new challenges and new opportunities. I am confident that the CCI will seize these opportunities and scale new goals in coming years with speed and efficiency leaving no space for doubts or delay.

About "The Cotton Corporation of India" (CCI)

The Cotton Corporation of India (CCI): A Friend to Cotton Farmer & A Dependable Supplier of Cotton to the Textile Industry. CCI was established on 31st July 1970 under the administrative control of Ministry of Textiles, Government of India as a Public Sector Undertaking under the Companies Act 1956. In the initial period of setting up, as the only public sector undertaking in the field of marketing of cotton, CCI played a role of a canalizing agency for imports of cotton and purchase of raw cotton for giving necessary price support to enterprising cultivators and also for procuring raw cotton for textile mills.

Our Operation

Extending necessary marketing support to the cotton growers in selling their kapas produce at most competitive prices in the various market yards in all cotton growing States through timely intervention – beginning from day one of the kapas arrivals till the end of season, procurement operations spread over more than 225 market yards in the country.
