im an idiot, how do i make a backup save? i have a feeling that im going to grind this game... a lot, especially now that i see theres a gambling option, how far do i have to go to gamble?
You can make a backup save by clicking "Export" under Settings. Just paste it into any text editor and save it somewhere safe. Serenitrove already autosaves, so backups are mainly useful if you clear your browser cache or want to move your save to another device.
For the slot machine, it is just an optional way to get some extra resources. You can ignore it if you want, though you will need to spend a bit of quartz on it to unlock one of the turtles and get an achievement.
As for tipping, I have disabled payments on Serenitrove. If you would still like to support something, consider donating to any wildlife charity instead. That would make me really happy :)

i managed to 100 percent the game got all achievements all relics all turtles all hats all digging tools all boots and all items that can be bought and all dojo upgrades and total play time 17 hours and 33 minutes it took to complete the game geuss i hold the record for the fastest person to 100 percent the game
im impressed that a game that isint complete can have such long gameplay its hard to find itch browser games that arent the final version since those usualy have short replay value my favorite turtle to play as is Fern and also got second jackpot

Was thinking of adding a high score to it and maybe he could put a score on his truck to beat to earn like 15% off their order.
Thanks! The main tip I can give you is to genuinely enjoy making games. As long as you enjoy the process, your games will naturally get better and more polished over time.
The food truck idea is creative, but people buying food are usually not gamers, so it might not get as much engagement as you hope. No harm experimenting though.
My final advice is to make a game that you personally love to play. Not just because you made it, but because you would genuinely enjoy it as a player.
2nd jackpot! I don't think I accrued as much pity luck from spinning as last time, so i think this one was genuinely pretty lucky? Also, the way the materials fall like confetti when you win at slots is such a nice touch
yeah you're lucky, on one of my runs it took me over 300 spins to get a jackpot and none of it counted towards the gamble statistic because it wasn't added yet.
What debuffs and buffs would it have? I'm a little intrigued but I don't think it is in the Serenitrove style to add a "demon turtle" so maybe it could be something similar but different at the same time.
Yes, it's just me working on the game. I handle all the art, coding, game design, bug fixing, and updates myself.
And no I don't earn any money from Serenitrove. It's purely a passion project for me. I do plan to keep updating it from time to time, but I can't promise constant updates since other responsibilities in my life have to come first.
Another idea: add weathers so like when it rains you get a little extra water in your flask and if its nighttime your light goes down like 35 percent. I think this is a cool idea.🙂

Your ideas are not dumb at all. I love hearing them, so please keep them coming. About 25% of Serenitrove as it exists today was inspired directly by player suggestions.
Whether an idea gets implemented or not really comes down to how well it fits the game. But without people sharing their ideas in the first place, there would be nothing to choose from.
well to get 1 temporary health point you have to dig 9 blocks, so if I am right, to get ONE permanent health points, you need to dig 225 blocks to gain ONE permanent health points, and this only works on pebble, not all the turtles
I mean it could be cool but that could easily be afked too like holding the arrow key and setting an auto clicker for B. this also isn't including marcoing since Scoot doesn't exactly care about marcoing.
A permanent stamina increase on Pebble would be extremely overpowered. Everyone would just use him repeatedly to boost stamina, and once his max stamina gets high enough, it would make all the other turtles obsolete.
The main focus for now is expanding content and polishing what is already there. Adding new turtles, more footwear options, new relics/powers and more achievements alongside ongoing stability improvements and general polish.

I have no idea how to get quartz in the magma layer
I have all the best tools, but I just can't get the fashion statement achievement. Any tips? I've been doing horizantal sweeps every 5-6 layers where it gets dark to not miss any restore cells
Quartz does not spawn naturally in the Magma layer. Hint: you will need to find a way to bring it there.
The Fashion Statement achievement is currently the hardest one in the game. Try to avoid wasting any Fortify stacks from overhealing. Stock up on Mageflare Runes and use them every 5 to 8 cells down to avoid missing any restore cells.
you should add decoration pls 🙏I want a Mona lisa turtle painting or maybe a way you can change the sky maybe even a chance you can get a key from a chest which gives you more stuff to do
More features and updates will be added in the future and decorations/customization could be one of them, but they are not the main priority right now.
Hi, Serenitrove is definitely still being updated. Since it's a passion project for me, updates come at my own pace, usually when I have free time or a good idea I want to work on.
No problem! the game is very fun for being so simple, but you could add quests or something that gives you rewards like 30x quartz or other rewards. You should also add more achivements
love this game :) ive got the halo and all pickaxes and drills, i like caelo best. havent found magma yet. ive tried lots of mageflare runes but maybe it either doesnt spawn often or i missed it. any advise? 10/10 game tho
If by magma you mean the turtle unlock that requires mining quartz in the magma layer, quartz does not spawn in the magma layer naturally, so you will need to find a way to bring quartz down there and then mine it.
Great game! If you plan to continue working on it, I would suggest adding a feature to quickly move all of one item into the furnace, so that you don't have to spam click the plus button to put all your ore/fuel in.
how do people even manage to cheat in a BROWSER game? I just dont get it lol, ive cheated in other games (not to ruin other peoples fun but solo) and ive understood how but in browsers i have no idea. I know you change the code or something but that isnt possible in the browser
A client-sided javascript browser game can be quite easy to cheat if someone has a bit of web development knowledge. That said, I obviously wouldn't recommend doing that.
This is a great little game. A real time waster! ;-) But I'd appreciate it if you would add leather to the win table in the slot machine. Since every cow only provides one leather, that's a scarce resource!
Thanks! Adding leather to the slots is actually a neat idea. Even aside from the scarcity, a few players have mentioned feeling bad about "squishing" the cute cows for leather, so having an alternative way to get it would be nice.
If it helps, cows spawn every 100 digs downward, so you can technically force them to spawn by digging down without any footwear equipped.
I found a glitch if you pick 2 music at same time or spam the same music they both play and sounds weird and also if you turn the gramophone off one of the music still plays and I think the only way to stop it is to refresh
Thanks for reporting this. It is a known issue at the moment. Since it does not affect gameplay too much, it is currently on the list as a low priority fix. It will be fixed in one of the future updates.
Currently I don't have plans to create a new game. Serenitrove will continue to receive updates occasionally, depending on how much free time I have to work on it.

The download is an offline copy of Serenitrove that you can play without an internet connection.

you should make it so the maximum quarts you can have is 9999 not 999
I actually tried that. The problem is that there just is not enough space on top to show everything.
So I think increasing the max resource count probably makes more sense when I eventually do a UI rework.

new idea: make the items your holding visible on the turtle
That's not possible because of the limited pixel space. Even the hats only give me 9 pixels to work with.
We also can't change the pixel size just for held items, since that would break the overall aesthetic and make things look inconsistent.

Would the quartz count if it came from a treasure chest? Brought down there, by say, a tool that increases treasure chest spawns?
Hint 2: It needs to be a quartz cell that is mined in the Magma layer, not just any way of obtaining quartz.

As for Kirby helmet, I love Kirby too, but I don't think Serenitrove is ready to include elements from other games just yet.

As of now, there is no diamond drill, though it may be added in a future update. Headgear is purely cosmetic and only provides visual effects.
