This is a relaxing, slow paced, fleet management idle game designed to be played in the background or on your second monitor. Select contracts, manage your cargo, and weigh the safety of your fleet against the allure of long voyages and legendary treasure.

Voyage through sunny skies, fog, and storms. Choose the right ship for the job, maximize your cargo capacity, and watch your net worth grow. Rare pets and legendary ships can also be unlocked while traveling across the ocean.

See how your shipping empire stacks up against captains from around the world. Compete for the highest gold stash, distance traveled, and pirates defeated on the global leaderboard.

Save System Notice:  I am actively working on a permanent fix for save issues on Chrome and iOS. While this update is being finalized, please use the Export Save button to manually back up your progress!

Not sure what happened recently. But mobile is randomly forcing landscape mode. This makes the entire ship management inaccessible

(+1)(-7)

After I got a ghost ship and a man o' war, I was bored, so I tried to cheat and succeeded. Was a fun adventure, you did some great obfuscation there, but if you want to secure it you should rely on server-side save games

Given that this is still in beta with very little support. I'm not sure they can afford that right now right?

Well there are some hosters that offer free cloud storage. That could be an option. https://www.oracle.com/cloud/free/ for example

(+3)

I lost all my money at the casino; around 10k. 5/5 will play again.

(+1)

Been having a lot of fun with the game, but I have had to restart each time I close the tab since I can't get an export code. I'm guessing it's a bug, but it is a tad annoying losing all my progress whenever I close my computer. Otherwise a great time!

(1 edit) (+1)

Nice game, good potential. The only problem is the flotsam chest opening animation - after the first few times it's nothing but a braindead chore waiting because it can't be skipped.

Edit for a second suggestion: show the cargo capacity of ships in the upgrades view. Currently there's no way to see it when your ships are on a voyage.

Some mumbling gameplay, some critique :)

Really Fun. Great job.
Love that I can start a job, go do other stuff, come back and check on things, upgrade and do it again.

Damn this is addicting

" be safe from attacks after 200 miles" - died at 300 miles

If you defeat a pirate, you will get the items, but the bounty will not be added to your money.

it gets added at the end of your run

I lucked out and captured a ghost ship. Is there more than one that can be captured?

Yes. You can also capture a Man o' War, which is like a Ship of the Line (but with 450 capacity instead of 500)!

(+1)

Chest without special loot are pointless and annoying, you will gaet same loot as you would otherwise but now you have to click for it and wait 10 seconds.

(+1)

There seems to be a memory leak issue on firefox, playing for hours will slowly climb RAM use to a handful of gigabytes

(1 edit)

One bug I've noticed is I've been able to sell fish while my only ship is on a voyage, making me get no money from the sale but the fish disappears.

(+4)

I have been really enjoying this for a few days, thank you for making it.

The economy feels a bit off. There should probably be something a bit more active to maintain. Maybe multiple fleets? Maybe active fishing while voyaging? Not sure.

After the first night, I ended up with fairly strong schooners. After the second night I got pearls. Pearls pretty much eliminated the purpose of doing anything else. Their income is far better than anything else I am doing, with no risk of it failing. I doubt Galleons will change that, maybe East Indiamen, but it seems like it would be a week of logging in a couple times a day just to get those.

Also, it might be nice to have a pirate hunter mode where crow's nests are used to look for pirates, instead of hiding from them. At least the ability to stop hiding from pirates once ships are strong enough would be nice.

Probably done for now, but look forward to checking this out again sometime and seeing what you have done with it.

(1 edit) (+1)

You should add some security on the save, for the experience I tried to decode it and give me 264 400 000 000g, and reencode it, and look at the leaderboard xD
Otherwise good and fun game ! I trashed the save with all the golds and played normally :)

(1 edit) (+1)

Just kidding :p

(+1)

How the heck do you do that!!

(to clarify i just want a little bit as i keep getting unlucky and hit with pirates every 5 minutes)

(+2)

Love it but wish there was more to do after getting 3 schrooners because it's a bit of a jump but overall I'm really enjoying it. Would love to be able to change my name lol

(+1)

Thanks for the feedback!

(+4)

Really enjoying the game so far. Hopefully you can add a way to sell docked ships directly as its fairly unintuitive right now. I also think an adjustment to the economy around mid game would be nice, as currently once you get full brigantines its quite a jump for the next ship with little else to do.

(1 edit)

Thank you! It means a ton.

Yeah I agree, I don't know how I missed that when I added the fleet management menu. Eventually you will be able to always sell unused ships from that fleet management menu, whether the main fleet is on a voyage or not. I'm also planning on fixing the sell values very soon. Right now you don't get any of your upgrade money spent on the ship back when you sell it. Might be worth hanging on to any ships you want to sell for a day or two  *cough *cough

I feel like that can help balance out that gap a bit, I'm totally open to adding a ship in between brigantine and galleon though. Have you bought any pearl farms yet btw? they are also very useful for getting your first galleon.

You can also always put it all on black :)

50g -> Galleon is only 6 quick spins...

(+1)

Very fun game, although I can tell it's going to be a bit of a grind to get anything past brigandines!

I did notice a bug in blackjack. When you hit "Deal Again", the dealer's second card shows before it turns face-down. This seems to happen every time. If you pay attention, you know exactly what you have to beat so you know if it's too risky to hit or if you have to risk it.

(+1)

Thank you! The blackjack bug has been fixed in the last update. Thanks for the heads up.

(+1)

Admittedly, I was abusing the bug so increase my chances in blackjack, so I'm a bit sad to see it go. I'm glad it was a quick/easy fix!

I suddenly get defeat on every trip now. It now happened for the fourth time in a row.

Pirate Risk: 19% (also only goes from 20% -> 19% when switching to pirate companion?)

Win Chance: 88%

The chance of both getting a pirate and then losing would in my mind be approximately 19% x 22% = 4.18%.

(1 edit)

Hey colaflaske,  last update I put out I changed some things will hull durability. Right now I’m thinking there’s a chance I might have overlooked something in the pirate calculations and the new hull durability is messing with it.

Gonna look at it later today and if it’s broken it will def be fixed by tonight. Sorry!

(+1)

I typoed my name in game and didn't realize until I progressed pretty far. Do you plan on adding a way to change the name of your trading company? great game!

(+2)

Does your username come from the Stormlight Archives?

(1 edit) (+2)

Journey Before Destination :)

(1 edit) (+3)

Been loving this game, hoping for an update soon!

EDIT: It happened.

Hey it's me again 😬 I wish it was worth it to complete quest maps because selling them for 35s -> 3500c shouldn't be more worth it than the average treasure (mins like Broaken Oar, worth 10c and max, but oh so rare: Heart of the Ocean, approx 5g -> 50000c)

In my current state of the game, (8000g-13000g "banked") it isn't worth it to use the maps, and selling them to avoid filling the inventory is a bit tedious (a lot of clicks) in the current UI. You've nailed the games quest payout for a "check once per day" game but if you want more active gameplay I would suggest first changing the RNG to be more like a shuffled deck, so it's never 8 trade events in a row, because you rarely need more than one (or 2 if you're like me and forget the fish)

Also I like how the leaderboard ties players together and would love to see more of that. On the other hand I completely understand how multiplayerizing a single player game with static code to more than a shared leaderboard is a complete rewrite.

Love the game, would love to see more updates <3

(+2)

Thanks for all the feedback, you've been super helpful!

I definitely feel like I need to increase the rewards for completing the treasure maps. They take awhile and don't scale with your fleets cargo hold which I completely overlooked, once you get ships with more cargo capacity its not even close to worth it. I'm not sure exactly how I'm going to go about it but the treasure map voyage will def be greatly buffed in an update soon.

Expect more regular updates soon!

(+3)

Great! I like the new additions!

(+1)

Learnt the hard way you can open into a chest in a chest lmao. Funny casual game!

(+2)

That's what I get for giving my ship a cursed name I guess :p

(1 edit) (+1)

Something has happened to my harvesting pearl. I was getting roughly 100g a day (something close-ish to that anyway) but now, in the last 18 hours I've only generated 9gp. Quite a big drop. The only change I made on my end was dropping one Brigantine for one Galleon leaving me with a Brigantine and two Galleons.

I started a voyage that was roughly 5 hours to complete. When I finally checked, it was about 9 hours away from the game; the voyage completed and the pearl had generated less than 1 gold. Definitely broken as far as I can tell.

(+1)

I think the formula for pearl gain is "10 + contracts_completed x 0.1 x dt"

Did your "Contracts completed" stat reset somehow?

(+1)

My contracts didn't reset. I'm at 102 total.

(+1)

The last update had a bug that wiped browser save data for some players. I'm really sorry about that. Import / export save codes should be working again now though.

If anyone is still having issues with their save codes, please let me know in the comments. I'm going to try my absolute hardest to prevent browser save data from being wiped like this again.

(1 edit) (+2)

I love this game! Please continue developing this <3

Could you make the money visible in the upgrades "popup"? Or if that doesn't work, maybe at least unblur and reduce the opacity on the black background?

Also, can you show somehow the gsc formatted activeVoyage.contract.baseReward if there is an activeVoyage? :p

(1 edit) (+1)

Thank you so much!

I was just working on posting an update when I saw your comment so I added that in, you should be able to see you money when the upgrade window is up now. idk how I never noticed that flaw

and yeah I've just been to stubborn to fix that and its actually caused some annoyances in the dev menu testing stuff already lol definitely gonna be on the list to be changed soon

(+1)

You're awesome Alethi, thank you! I did game development many years ago and it's hard work but I hope you keep working on it! If you could show the current voyage reward, maybe the best place for it would be above the progress bar on the voyage page, next to the distance or something?

(+2)

I've been really enjoying the game for quite a few days now on my off time. Only question I have is what the pearl farm actually does. It said it gives passive income but I haven't gotten anything of the sort so far.

(+1)

When your fleet is docked, under the voyage tab, you should see the pearls there with the option to harvest them.

(+1)

Yeah you are right I've just been completely blind thanks a lot!

Sorry for the late reply,  I'm  going to add in where the pearl farm is harvested to the shop description so its not so easy to miss!

(+1)

my save did not carry over even thoe i clicked continue voyage

are you on mobile or desktop? iOS and certain browsers have issues with the auto save and you need to manually export and import your save. Working on getting it properly set up now.

desktop and chrome

(+1)

Same... just restarted my computer and now have to start over... ugh.

(+1)

i dont earn any money from trips, tried clearing cache and didnt help

(1 edit) (+1)

Should be fixed now. Just updated the save system and added a new tier of contracts for early game and messed that up along the way, sorry.

(+1)(-1)

Session didn’t persist on ios browser :(

(+1)

Just updated and added a manual import/ export save for ios and other more strict browsers. Sorry for the time waste, I'm going to try and make sure the new manual save is perfect tonight so it wont have to happen again.

It looks like the export is empty? It won’t let me copy the save

The "copy to clipboard" button doesn't work either? also are you using safari? Sorry again working on getting it polished up today, I'm just having trouble recreating what your seeing

(+1)

Enjoying the game, but I have some questions/feedback:

The HP/Hull durability system is rather opaque. How does it work?

You can reroll contracts by abandoning the voyage with no consequences. It seems like this shouldn't be possible. Maybe it shouldn't show a new job until the contracts refresh?

Could there be a way to rename the ships? Mine are all actually stuck with the exact same name right now.

Thanks for all the info today! Definitely going to add in being able to name ships, I also want to eventually polish up some of the ship views and  add unlockable flags or sail colors. Hull damage along with attack power should go into play when calculating your win chance against pirates. Right now though, the game only takes into account your attack power and any bonuses from companions, and hull damage is honestly a little pointless.

The next thing I'm going to work on is fully fleshing out the hull damage from events and also incorporating it into your chances of succeeding in decision events along with the rest of your ships stats. They are all just 50/50 chance of success and aren't finished. Planning on fully finishing the decision events and hull damage effects within the next day or two.

Today I was mainly focused on fixing saving on iOS and some browsers and fixing the leader board, I'm really sorry if you lost your save. Making sure tonight I get the save system stable so it wont have to happen again if all goes right.

(+1)

Loving the game so far!

It appears there are two players (Bionis and pas moi) with impossibly high scores on the leaderboard. Maybe some sort of validation should be required?

(+1)

Very peaceful experience!

Curse those rats though; I've just started and I'm already in debt!
